Hyatt House Emeryville has the very best customer service. The Assistant General Manager was on hand to help us out in every little way after a planning error had us there on the wrong night. Beyond that - great location, clean and spacious room with a bay view balcony, and a glorious hot tub.

Had a wonderful time for our stay. My only suggestion would be that they had 3 lounge chairs for the entire pool. They were being used others property. It would have been nice to sunbathe but that wasn’t an option.

Our car was stolen the first night we stayed here. The hotel has no legal liability but they were not helpful what so ever. The hotel has no gate, no ticket entry or exit, no cameras anywhere outside and no security patrolling during the hours that actually matter. The manager didn’t even reach out to us to make sure we were okay. We’re just told there is nothing the hotel can do but we can try to file with the hotel insurance but it would take months to even see if they would offer us anything. Other than that the staff is friendly and work hard at their jobs. But the hotel has little to no safety for your property/belongings. And it’s ridiculous there is not 1 camera pointed on the outside of this hotel.

Our room was comfortable and clean, food potions were sufficient. It would have been nice to have suggestions for food options in the area. Upon checking out we found our car had been hit in the parking lot and we were parked right in front of the entrance to the hotel. We were told there are not any cameras in the parking lot. No happy about that!!!!!

I specifically chose this hotel because it had a big swimming pool. When I checked in I was told it was closed. Second time this has happened at a Hyatt. If your pool is closed you need to say that on your website. Also new carpets gave me a headache.

Business stay. The reviews said the hotel was very clean and we agree. The room was very clean the bed was clean, comfortable. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. It’s walking distance from quite a few restaurants and some shopping which is nice.

Room was clean and spacious. Front desk not helpful at all. I arrived at about 9 pm. Door to the parking lot was locked (room key needed). I rang the bell twice - no response from front desk so I had to walk to the front of the hotel with much luggage. The staff at check-in and checkout seemed like they’d rather do somewhere else. Room was patient and very clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable.. unfortunate experience with front desk staff - especially considering the price. Quite a bit more than normal for some unknown reason. And to consider an alternative for my next trip

The property was old and smelled bad. But it was very affordable for the price we paid. And the rooms were big, the pillows were soft and the bed was fine. The couch in our room showed signs of wear and tear with some frayed edges and housekeeping forgot to vacuum the couch to get rid of crumbs. The crumbs were left for the next visitor. (Yuck)

Great property. Large room with multiple beds and separate bedroom. Kitchen was great for extended stay for a couple of easy meals. Target, mall and ikea less than a mile. Full breakfast was great. Would definitely book again. Need a car for going to the sites.

The suite with king bed was roomy and more like a little apartment. Has 2 separate rooms. (Living room style with couch -!: pull out bed. And like a bedroom with lots of room and closet space. Bathroom roomy.) Has a fully working stove kitchen and sink, along with big fridge and microwave. Was able to connect my Xbox to the tv no problem. Front desk even had a toothbrush for me free because I forgot mine. Emeryville go around bus takes you right to the bart station. Usbc and usb ports for charging. Definitely would stay here again, very modern and comfortable

This is a very nice hotel. I booked the suite with a kitchen and it was good for a family of 3. The only issue is the train that comes at all hours of the night and honks the horn. The train is right behind the hotel so there is no way to avoid the honking horn. It comes multiple times at night and the train conductor must love to honk that horn to wake everyone up in the hotel. I could not get a good night sleep. Bring your ear plugs or book a room somewhere else.

I reserved a suite to accommodate my family’s stay while in town for the weekend. As we were traveling from out of state, we had delays at the airport. I called front desk staff to provide notification of our delay in efforts to keep our reservation. We arrived at the hotel close to 1:00AM with our toddler. We were all exhausted from our travels and were very much looking forward to settling in our room and getting much needed rest, specially my toddler. Tia handled our check-in. Unfortunately, she ensured we had a poor and disappointing experience at check-in. She was unprofessional, rude, unwelcoming, and unkind throughout our interactions. I was left feeling uncomfortable when asking simple questions such as ‘what floor is our room in’ as the responses were passive aggressive. I would have opted to pursue other hotel options had it not been past midnight with a toddler with me. I hesitated coming down to purchase water at the front desk as I did not want to interact with Tia given the unpleasant experience. We ended up meeting other staff the next day, all of who were nice and welcoming, specially house keeping staff. I talked to management in regards to my experience, and he graciously waived parking fees due to the inconvenience. While that was very kind of him, I am unsure I will return to this hotel in the future. My family and I shouldn’t have been treated poorly in the first place.

Working nights, I was VERY upset not getting to sleep for 2 days, and actually evacuated the building on the first alarm... This is no way to treat your guests.

Hotel was excellent in every way. Great walkable location. Room and entire hotel common areas were clean. Breakfast was good. There was occasional sound of the nearby rail system but it didn’t bother me. Would stay here again with pleasure.

The Emeryvill Hyatt House is an excellent choice to stay for a SF Bay Area excursion given its central location and proximity to the Amtrak station. We came to see a concert at the nearby Greek Theater on the campus of UC Berkeley. We were able to find great nearby eateries and shops with a broad range of different choices to eat and places to find all sorts of things one would want to find without the difficulty of parking that you find elsewhere in the Bay Area. The friendliness of and the service by the hotel staff was excellent too. Highly recommend this as a place to stay when in the Bay Area especially if you travel by train.

It's a nice hotel. Clean, good free breakfast, huge TV in the room. It is very convenient to the Amtrak station. The area around the hotel is nearly un-walkable. Busy five lane roads surround the hotel, the "WALK" signs take forever to illuminate, acres of parking lots. It's not a pedestrian friendly area.

This hotel is just OK. The interior condition is a bit shabby and it obviously is in need of a refurbishment. But the strangest thing is there’s no evening food or beverage service except Tuesday and Wednesday nights! This is just unbelievable. Absolutely no restaurant or bar except two nights a week. That would make me never stay here again because it’s inconvenient and there’s no place to hang out with your friends without leaving the property.
