La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Fresno Yosemite

Walking distance from downtown. Plenty of food options nearby. Pool was nice after a hot day. Gym was subpar. Equipment broken.

Elevator not working.Had to walk to completely opposite end of hotel then back again just to get to room. Room lock defective. Place literally stinks. As I walked in to check in, the only employee at the front desk was just sitting on the phone with some customer and had me waiting for a while, just to give me the bad news. I am absolutely angry that I had to pay for a room in such a ghetto place, not to mention the hoodrats just hanging out, smoking in the balcony. I thought I was getting at least a decent clean place to sleep. The La Quinta name has gone down the drain in this place. What a dump!!!

Hotel was dirty. Anybody had access to the pool. A transient came in and practically took a bath in the pool. The carpet in the room was so dirty it made my feet turn black

Inside the property is fine with me; however, outside the property seems to be unclean and the property should have an elevator.

Gated property and parking was available close to room. Laundry facilities were available. The pool was clean and a good size. Office staff were helpful and polite. The hotel communication via text messages was supportive and appreciated.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hot water came into the shower quickly and the breakfast was just right. There were all sorts of people in the dining room. Everyone was vey friendly. The pool was crystal clear and it was great to lounge on the pool deck.

The room was clean but the stairs and walkways should be better maintained. The elevator was broken so we had to carry everything upstairs. After taking our suitcases and belongings into our room, we noticed that the door wouldn't lock when it was closed. Staff couldn't figure it out and didn't have another room ready for us, so we had to walk downstairs and put everything back in the car so we could get to our event on time. When we returned after 11pm, there was only a room on the third floor, so we had to walk everything back up to the new room. The problems with the door lock and elevator were not the fault of the staff on duty and they handled things as well as they could. When checking out the next day, I accidentally left my charger in the room and my key stopped working. Housekeeping said they couldn't open the door so I could go back in, but the young woman at the front desk was nice enough to walk up to the third floor and get the charger for me.

No shampoo in the dispenser. Was not refilled for second day either. Trash piled around exterior trash cans. Elevator too far from rooms. Stairs were dirtly.

Was horrible, dirty, nasty pee on the side of the toilet that looks like it has been there for probably over a month conditions of the whole hotel are running down to get ice was almost impossible. My car ended up peed and scratched the evening manager was rude.

First the picture of the room on the site and the actual room are night and day. Very old dirty stained. Mattress had no protective cover. Very old fixtures and a low toilet. The outside areas were filthy and very unkept. Lots of homeless wandering around. We were very disappointed since it is a Wyndham property.

The cleanliness was a concern. Stains on the carpet, tub, sheets, mattress, ceiling along with little mystery hairs. The staff at check in was not helpful. Upon arrival we had to wait outside for 10 mins for her to come and assist us, the keys didn’t work as the door was “dead”. It was just a hot mess, if it wasn’t so close to the hospital and out r loved one was let there I won’t not have stayed at all.

The room is in terrible condition. Not just old, but badly maintained and dirty. Bad smell as you walk in, stains everywhere, walls, doors, even bedding. Hair fragments were found throughout the room even stuck on doors. Door Lock itself fails half the time. Just Old, Dirty and Smelly.

Heya there was black mold in the bathroom ceiling. The front door did not shut all the way unless it was deadbolted.

Bathtub had hairs, bed sheets were stained. The property staff were really nice and tried to problem solved. Unfortunately, there was no way we wanted to stay at this hotel

Our staying here was very confortable rooms are so clean

stayed for 2 nights and it was the worst two nights of my life. The bed was like a rock! There was blood stains on the pillow. The sheets were yellowish and looked like they don’t wash them every visit. And floor had crumbs everywhere like they didn’t vacuum.

The place was in good condition and the staffing was great.The only issue was that the ac in the room didn’t work.

The suites do not have a ac wall unit which makes them extremely extremely hot!!! They’re huge and spacious but when it’s summer it never got below 79 degrees in the room. They definitely need to add ac units and it would be beyond worth it. Everything else was great.

The property is in unsafe area, the staff was very nice and helpful, but the first room that was given to us they air condition did not work, and there was a lot of suspicious people walking around the hotel grounds. Loud guests. The clerk was very nice to us and moved us to a room with a working condition. The sheets were dirty in the bathroom. Need major update. This hotel should not be three stars. It should be only one star rating.

Nice check in. The heater/ac unit was very very loud so we couldn't sleep.

The room feels dark and dingy. It might feel lighter and brighter if the wall wasn’t painted dark purple and there was light through the one window. Whomever they hired to paint should be replaced. There is paint splattered all over the floor and drops on the refrigerator. This is my first time in a La Quinta and it will definitely be my last. The neighbors got home around 2am and have been partying next door all night. It’s now 6:30am. I just want to get out of here.

The first room we were given 338 had a super loud air conditioning unit and no microwave or fridge. The awesome night person at the front desk arranged for us to move to the room next door 340. That unit had a much quieter air conditioner and a fridge and microwave. We didn’t need the fridge and microwave, but it is odd that one room had them and one did not. The staff was great and breakfast had more options than I expected.

Clean, quiet and reasonably priced. Rooms are large and well furnished (ours didn't have a fridge or microwave but lots of ice available). bed was comfy and shower was hot.

Room smelled of urine. Tub was slow to drain. Loose or broken shower faucet. Place was loud and noise all thru the night. Needs to be upgraded.

Hotel grounds and rooms were very dirty. Staff at the desk was very rude and unhelpful.. I’ll never stay there again.

Front desk check in easy and quick with pleasant staff. No issues with safety. Room clean. Pillows sucked- bring your own.

The breakfast was not served at the time it was scheduled. This was a problem because I scheduled the job start time based on the time of breakfast, which I verified upon check-in. The staff was rude and apathetic. I gave the hotel a chance to make it right before writing this review. I asked for a small discount for each of the two rooms that we booked. I would have been satisfied with a $20 discount but the hotel was not willing to make it happen. The offered a discount on another stay, which I obviously was not going to give them any more business since I was not happy with the first stay. And the coffee was awful. It tasted like the mud in the bottom of the pot from the previous day.

I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the wonderful service during my stay. Maritssa at the front desk was especially warm, helpful, and attentive from check-in to check-out. She made the process smooth and welcoming and her friendly demeanor really stood out. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-prepared, and I appreciated the overall care the staff took in making the stay enjoyable. Thank you again to Maritssa and the whole team for the great hospitality—I’ll definitely be back!

⭐ 1 out of 5 stars Extremely Disappointing and Unsafe Stay – Would Not Recommend I had one of the worst hotel experiences during my recent stay at La Quinta by Wyndham in Fresno. When we arrived, the outside temperature was a scorching 105°F, and unfortunately, the air conditioner in our room was broken. The thermostat was flashing an error message, and the room was unbearably hot. I immediately reported the issue to the front desk, only to be told that the staff member was working alone and couldn’t do anything about it. I asked to be moved to a different room, but was told the hotel was fully booked. Interestingly, when I checked online at that exact moment, it showed there was still at least one room available. Despite multiple requests, no one came to fix the AC, and no alternate arrangements were offered. My children were so overheated they couldn’t sleep and even started throwing up due to the extreme heat. It was a miserable and frankly unsafe environment, and the lack of response from hotel staff made it all the worse. This was not just poor service—it was a total failure in guest care and basic hospitality. We have stayed at many hotels over the years and have never experienced anything like this. I do not recommend this location and hope management seriously reconsiders how they handle guest concerns, especially in high-temperature conditions.

I did like the cleanliness of the room. The quick check in and the safety job of both the night and day security persons. Open the doors and checked on my safety. Thank you for that. The breakfast during the week was not good but the coffee and orange juice was excellent. Saturday was a better breakfast. Business trip stayed in years past many times.

While checking in to this hotel the lady at the front desk was rude to customers. I asked for a luggage cart amd she told me the only 1 they have was broken. She was also taking personal phone calls while helping customers. The room looks dated and beat up. Shower needs to be updated with new fixtures and there were no bath towels in the room. Next time ill pay 70$ more and just stay at a holiday inn. Wont be staying here again.

Friendly and helpful staff

Good location, right next to ihop and Starbucks lite let walking distance. Nice and quiet. Room was fine. Customer service was outstanding. Breakfast was good as well

The rooms are on the outside of the building which means they open into the parking lot. The area has drug addicts and homeless people camped out on the streets. Not a safe area.I’m glad I was only passing thru.

Convenient to Amtrak and YARTS bus service to Yosemite which is the only reason I stayed here.

Arrived late but then walked to liquor store and realized the area was unsafe and for the price paid the hotel was not worth it.

We like the location. Easy access to town, and the mountains.

Nice People and good location

Stayed one night because I came to a concert at the save mart center, so location was convenient. Breakfast was nice and so was the pool. There is a lot of homeless around, but I guess that’s just how downtown is. Other than that everything was good.

Room was spacious and clean, plenty of parking. Conveniently close to Hospital, which was reason I was there.

Beds were comfortable, they forgot to put toilet paper and when I asked they said they didn’t have any and that I would have to wait for next day, breakfast was good except Friday only gravy and biscuits and waffles, no eggs and sausage or cereal.

Poor breakfast services

The only aspect of this hotel I disliked was the poor variety of breakfast food options and the quality of the food. The food was quite basic and processed. On one day, there were no scrambled eggs or fruit salad. The hotel staff informed me ‘we ran out of eggs’. Because protein and fruit are the most important nutrients for a breakfast meal, this should always be available for guests. My breakfast meal therefore only consisted of starches.

They say breakfast comes with your stay, it’s a waffle maker, dollar tree mini muffins, expired yogurts, broken coffee dispensers and best of all, they put things out at least 30mins late. The rooms smell and as soon as you turn the light you can see cockroaches scared away!

1st day for breakfast hot gravy was brought out but the biscuits were frozen. Within an hour there was no meat or eggs. 2nd day very early there were no meat or eggs. There was plenty of bread for toast and waffle mix. Only one coffee caraft that emptied quickly.

The breakfast wasn’t good. We have to go out to buy for the kids . Other than that was okay

Breakfast was provided at the area of front desk and lobby. The area was not big enough to accommodate all the people who wanted to have breakfast. It was a mess .

Convient location next to the highway. Very limited breakfast, be early , otherwise no juice, no milk, no cereals, no fruit. Just toast and water. Very bad management

The people of maintenance was very kind. The area of Laundry is so dirty, the need to clean the floor more. The air dryer has a problem I paid and doesn't work.The tv and the coffee maker doesn't work, they need to check them all. The breakfast was very good.
