Loved the location and proximity to the beach. The area was walkable and clean. I felt the fitness center could have been better equipped, but that may be me. It did have two pools and service was great. Staff at front desk wasn’t the warmest, but valet staff was excellent. The cafe’s staff was also very friendly. Sink was very slow to drain and service to room was basic. Not a lot of going above and beyond. I would stay again.

Great resort. The my double bed suites are nice and spacious. I love that the pools are open late and heated. Wish the water slides were open past 4pm during the week. Only option for parking is valet at $50 per day.

Gorgeous hotel with amazing staff and facilities, the kids loved the pool and the slides! And we were very grateful for the laundry room after 2 weeks of travelling! Location is great for Main Street and Pacific City and the views are amazing!

Great Property. Valet was quick and efficient, Unlike all the other reviews. The property was across the street from Huntington Beach. Easy, and quick access to the beaches. unfortunately, the beach supplies were in short demand and they never had a boogie board at all. The staff said they only carried three or four. So much for the resort fee.

Staff/young lady checking us in was GREAT!..the room was located at the perfect corner..however, room was "clean" but a serious infestation of ants was annoyingly distracting..I reported to housekeeping..I just requested trash to be removed and "to address "ants" issue...indeed, removed trash but no "spray or signs of cleaning ants".. the bathroom bathtub and kitchenette were the target for the annoying bugs... the bathtub was outdated and balcony,chairs and all were very dusty..and not from " a day" dust.. Weekend rate for this resort is substantially high so, I consider it, over rated..but it was convenient for a weekend getaway and right at the spot we wanted...

This property was beautiful and had so many things to do: restaurants, a coffee shop, endless lounge areas, 2 pools, 2 hottubs, waterslides, an area for outdoor games like ping pong, cornhole and chess, a spa and beach chairs and beach toys were provided so you could enjoy the beach across the street. The room and bathroom were of a substantial size, well maintained and very clean. All the staff were amazing and the service was top notch. You also were close walking distance to shops and many restaurants. Our regular room had a patio with a beach view. I would come back and stay here in a heartbeat. It felt like a luxury hotel.

Top sheets were dirty! Hotels needs to invest in paint and updates. The slide was open for maybe 2 hours. It is across the street from the beach so has beautiful views. Hotels provides beach chairs and towels. Hotel staff friendly. Overall it was a good time and enjoyable.

We had checked in on the app earlier in the day. We had arrived late and got into out room. When we got in there were used sheets on the counter, the bed wasnt made, used sheets were on the countertop by the window, there were still used towells in the bathroom. We didnt end up calling the front desk because we were very tired from a 10 hour drive. We just ended up sleeping on the couch. Check out was fine, other than waiting about 30 minutes for valet to get us our vehicle and let us know that we need to see the front desk before we could leave. I expected alot more for the night we were there, especially for the price i payed. Just very disappointed.

A beautiful resort with the beach just quick walk across the street. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Lots of chairs at the pools, pool service, the rooms were tastefully decorated and clean. Beautiful artwork is located throughout the resort. I would definitely come back. It is a lot closer than Hawaii and the location to the beach makes it a great choice for a quick sunny getaway.

Staff was friendly, location is perfect, pool areas are beautiful. Room was cozy and décor in the hotel and room was cute. Only complaint is that the room we stayed it really needs a deep clean or a little updating. It was surprising a little dirty and the sheets and pillows also smelled. Other than that the view from our room was really nice. Overall a nice stay, would stay again.

Really enjoyed this place. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the pool with views of the beach. Right across from PCH so easy walk to the beach. Only about a 10 min walk to the pier. The pool are area was very nice. Had plenty of lounge chairs and food and drink service. The food at the cabo wabo cantina was very good. I know the rooms are a little pricey but you do get what you're paying for. Hotel staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

We had a great experience at The Waterfront Beach Resort. The room was spacious and comfortable for our family of three and we enjoyed the pool, Cabo Wabo restaurant, and used the valet service a lot. I also used the fitness room which was great for strength training and running on the treadmill. The location is awesome, across from the ocean and just 5 minutes away from dining and shopping.

We travel a lot with our family of 5 and often stay in smaller chain hotels but wanted to splurge a little for this trip. The location is great and the hotel is very nice and full of friendly staff. But I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you plan to use the sofa bed. Again we travel a lot and my kids are no stranger to a sofa bed but this was the WORST one we’ve ever encountered. It was like a blanket laid over a pile of springs. My teen ended up sleeping on the made up couch and woke up miserable each day because that was narrow and firm (but an improvement over the sofa bed “mattress”). I felt awful and wished we’d stayed at a Holiday Inn or somewhere else where the sofa bed was actually usable since half my my teen’s idea of a vacation is sleeping in but instead paid a premium for bad sleep. Otherwise, it’s a lovely hotel. Just don’t plan on actually using that sofa bed.

Way too loud at night…between PCH right out front with motorcycles and loud cars at all hours of the night and then also people above us were loud. Our room also had a-joining doors on both sides of our room with people whose conversations you could hear word for word. Sound proofing or updating the rooms to be sound proof would be a great idea!!!

The pool service was horrible. We asked on female employee if we could order food and she said "I'm not a server and walked away." If she added but "I will get someone to help you" with anything resembling a smile, it wound have gone a long way. Many of the employees acted as if service was a burden to them. Travis at Cabo Wabo was an exception. He was friendly and came by our table a half dozen times to see if anything was needed. He was pleasant and was more indicative of the service Hilton usually provides.

We expected a busy weekend at the facility due to Fathers Day. While the hotel is amazing with various restaurants and amenities, we were disappointed in the service area in the pool area where Cabo Wabo and the family slide is. We purchased a day bed for the remainder of the evening which we thought included a server to take our food and drinks. After flagging down several servers for assistance and requesting a manager due to over an hour wait for service we left. We noticed when we would ask a staff member for assistance they ignored our requests and continued doing other things or couldn’t provide us with an answer. Aside from the pool area, everyone was welcoming and helpful.

Property was beautiful. Close to downtown Huntington Beach. Beautiful view of the ocean. However, dogs of other guests were barking and woke us up at 6 am two days in a row.

Our only issue with this property was that everything closes so early! The waterslide closed at 3pm, which is before the hottest part of the day, and also before we even checked in for our one day stay. The pools closed at 10pm, which was an hour later than all the dining closed. So we finished up at the pool, intending to have a late dinner, and found no place to eat, within the resort or nearby. Why does everything in Huntington close before the sun has even set? We were disappointed with that. HOWEVER, the staff was so accommodating, and let us order food from room service minutes after they were not supposed to take any more orders. That was a redeeming quality of the resort, for sure! We are night people, so 10pm is much too early for things to be closing for us. This might not be a problem for most people, but for us, it made our time at this resort not at all worth the expense. For a one day stay, we were not able to use any of the amenities we were charged for. Also, of note, our stay was quoted in Expedia as being $388 for the night. Upon checkout, it was $647. This was after resort fees, taxes, and parking. So be prepared to pay double what you’re expecting to. Overall, was a good stay and we will definitely be coming back. These issues weren’t enough of a problem for us to have hated the experience, just some things to be aware of!

The “Offshore” restuarant offered delicious options, cocktails, and the view of the ocean was amazing! They even offered blankets once it got cool. The retractable roof and wall to wall windows felt like such a high-end amenity. Our server Beth was so friendly and attentive. Memorable experience!

I enjoyed our stay, but for the money I’d say it was mediocre. What was good: Location Great staff Pools were clean and good temperatures Lovely views Not so good: The oceanfront suite we were in needs dramatic updates. Awful bed and pillows. Towels were also terrible, and it was dated in general. Though it was fairly clean The food poolside was not good, had multiple food items on multiple days and all were not good. Bartenders were great. The food in the Cabo Wabo was outrageously overpriced for the buffet for the quality and even temperature of the food (mostly cold) and in general was a poor experience. This was a very mixed visit and a mixed property, we saw updated rooms while walking on our floor and perhaps they were better, not sure. But for the $600 we paid per night, meh.. We likely won’t be back.

Great location, great service, clean and consistent. Just needs to provide better option on food. Cabo wabo is cool, but Mexican food all weekend and that’s the only menu for in room dining, they should open up options.

Would absolutely go back to this property. Friendly, English speaking staff. Nice pool area, our kids loved the slides. The access to the beach is also great, and the included beach toys / chairs / umbrellas were really nice. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. No need to have a car.

We checked in on August 20, 2026, after traveling 33 hours to California to celebrate my husband’s birthday. ❤️ I wanted to have something delivered to our room as a surprise for him when we walked in, but I didn’t realize I needed to plan ahead—and with everything involved in such a long trip, I simply didn’t have time to arrange anything before we arrived. A couple of hours after checking in, there was a knock at our door. To our surprise, a bottle of wine and two glasses had been delivered to our room! 🍷❤️ What a beautiful surprise! My husband’s face lit up, and it made our special trip even more memorable. Experiences leave a lasting impression. Sometimes it’s the simplest acts of kindness and thoughtfulness that mean the most.
