Hotel Huntington Beach

The hotel was run down! Short in the bathroom light, small TV, Hot Tub was jets barely worked.

Booked as part of a business trip, checkin ok but no fridge in room and no safe. No restaurant onsite, breakfast available but limited choice. It has a bar which seems to open when they feel like it, couldn’t charge anything to room…

Property was clean and staff was excellent. The rooms are a bit dated and are in need of an interior refresh. The gym is a bit lackluster and lacking in equipment, the pool is nice as is the hot tub. The restaurant is only open at certain times.

We were catfished! Pool and jacuzzi disgusting. Room smelled had to get a new room. Small and dirty rooms no microwave or mini fridge. The whole place needs a major remodel, except lobby.

The elevators were slow and sketchy The hotel seemed very dated for the price The bed was terrible and squeaky The water didn’t drain in the shower There were paint chipper walls in our room Everything seemed run down I was expecting a plush bed and got a lumpy one

This property was clean, quiet, and the common areas were nicely decorated. The room we were in could use a face lift. Floor, carpeting, bathroom could use some updating. The pool area was NOT good. Needed paint and the floor needed a good power washing. The hot tub may not have been dirty, but it had that appearance. The whole room including the ceiling needs a face lift!

Overall nothing really "wrong" with this property. It's very old and worn. Plumbing and electrical need updating, bed is old and creaky, all walls need painting, fitness room is very small and had leaky air conditioning on the floor.

We liked the location. It was walkable to dining opportunity plenty of shopping only 10 miles to Huntington Beach the pictures of the pool and hot tub look amazing however, the hot tub and the pool could use a little TLC and spurting up looked very worn. The staff was very nice and helpful for the two days that we were there. Yes, we will come back.

Quiet place. Nice pool. Front desk staff friendly. Disappointing the Hotel Bar did not not allow room charges...so we had Cocktails elsewhere as she wasn't particularly friendly about it when I asked why not ??

Getting stuck in the elevator for 1/2 hr.

Very friendly staff and very clean hotel.

As soon as we opened the door to our room we were hit with a very strong cigarette smoke odor. It was bad. Called the front desk and someone came with a can of Lysol. The bathroom never quit smelling like cigarettes. The room smell calmed down till the morning of checkout when we woke up to the smell of cigarettes. It was gross plus my daughter just quit smoking 2 wks ago. We were there to celebrate her 40th birthday! No refrigerator in our adjoining room. The beds were the saving grace. So comfy. Front desk was very nice. We also had to call the front desk again the morning of checkout, the hallway had a strong odor of gas. Microwave would have been nice to have in the room.

Not very clean. Sheets were dirty, had to have them replaced. One of the blinds was broken, but they did fix it. Phone did not work. Carpet was not clean in room and very worn and dirty in hallways. Overall, I was pretty disappointed in this hotel. It is in a good location and looks good on the surface. Just don’t look too closely, you will be disappointed.

Honestly the hotel smelled strongly of cat pee? The rooms weren’t very clean with missing drain covers and a lot of chipped paint. Also they don’t have cribs or pack n plays which I should have inquired about before booking. The staff was averagely nice enough but man the smell was overpowering. The closet the bell carts were in was very musty and a little moldy looking. Definitely don’t recommend.

I did not eat breakfast. The room needed to be renovated. The floorboards did not connect. The bathroom paint was peeling and the carpet was stained and dirty. The bathroom had no stopper. The room had an odor.

When I entered in the room first thing I noticed several giant ugly stains on covering blankets on the bed, so ugly and don’t understand how did they get missed, I had 2 nights booked but had to give up my second night because didn’t want to go to that dirty place anymore chose to spent the night in my car. Really thanks for nothing

The mattress is terrible condition. It's lopsided and making squeaky sound when you turn.

Room was fairly clean but bathroom fixtures were old. WiFi didn't work most of the stay. Breakfast was not offered one day because an employee was sick. The lounge was great but closed at 10 PM each night (too early)

Pleasant staff. Loud AC. No refrigerator. Curiously steep temporary CC hold for a hotel at this level with free parking. Bed was comfortable. Overall a good stay with some oddities.

This hotel is mainly just a place you can sleep no different than a motel. The area this is in is the main reason it’s nice. Located in front of a shopping center very walkable. Inside the hotel just feels disappointing. Room didn’t have any mini fridge or microwave if you planning to eat anyway and have leftovers no where to put them. The pool is shallow and just looks old. Complimentary breakfast is not complimentary they charge $15 per person.

The hotel rooms are definitely in need on renovations. The lobby and outside look very nice for the area, but the hallways to the rooms had fraying carpets and scuff marks on the walls. The rooms themselves had AC units from the 70s and linoleum floors that squeaked when you walked. The toilet also took forever to flush. Another tip, if you are someone like me who needed tonus the wi-fi for work, its probably not the best choice. The wi-fi kept dropping or just didnt connect.

For the price, the room was a disappointment. The bathroom was old, particularly the shower, which was broken and wouldn't stop leaking. Additionally, the room felt old-fashioned, with only a small 32-inch TV. Overall, the cost was surprisingly high—much more than what I would expect to pay at a Motel 6.

Nice hotel overall, but we got a room that had a leaky tub faucet (so we could hear it dripping the whole time) and very poor lighting in the room and bathroom.

No fridge or microwave in the rooms except in the 8th floor with extra costs.

We had room 422. It was noisy due to being close to elevators. Cleaning people speaking load in halls and one morning a cleaning staff member was playing loud music. I had to get out of bed to ask him to lower volume. Otherwise location was perfect

Your customer service representatives did not know anything. They have nothing that they could help us with with the surrounding areas. Poor service.

We had to change rooms twice and when I spoke to management about it, he was professional and very accommodating to reimburse me one night which I truly appreciated it. I would still come back and stay at this hotel. I do recommend this hotel. Very professional and friendly staff. Thank you.

First, the good. CC, morning counter staff was helpful, as well as the brunch wait staff. Night staff, ugh, what a pain to deal with. Unresponsive and not helpful to simple requests. This hotel is misleading, there is not microwave or fridge included with your room unless you pay the extra fees, that’s right, it says your room comes with these two “amenities” but they don’t. Breakfast, also not included in your stay, at all! It is a separate charge. The website says breakfast is included (multiple third party sites and the hotel site). Breakfast is sub-par, grainy and gritty pancakes, undercooked sausage, wet potatoes, it goes on. The rooms are quite uncomfortable, especially the old, stained, spring mattresses. The bathrooms are dilapidated, in need of serious care. We changes rooms since the first had no fridge (yes, we paid the extra money), the second room was worse than the first room. Bathroom doors did not close all the way, the tub was clogged so I pulled everything out of the drain myself. Tons of debris and hair. So much water damage in my room, the ceiling was crumbling with terrible patch work done, the floor was warped from water damage with no attempt to repair. The pool, wow. The indoor pool, which should be tempered, was not. So it’s close to 52 degrees. Hot tub, shoots upward and out of the tub. The first time we started the jets, they shot out a ton of film and what looked like old skin debris. There was never any towels in the pool area, although we asked.

I've stayed at Hotel HB before. It's a nice facility. Employees are friendly. Bella Terra across the street for dining options. Area is clean and well maintained. I will certainly return to Hotel HB.

The hotel was very convenient with a shopping district nearby, and I was satisfied with the staff, the room, and the service. Although Newport and Huntington Beach are not right next door, they were still easy to reach by car or Uber.

Nice location. Convenient for everything. Staff are pretty responsive and courteous.

One night stay, to see family who just moved there. This hotel is not on the beach, but if that’s what you want, you will pay double the price. This hotel is a good value and my room was large. Parking was free, easy, and safe. There’s a huge mall right across the street.

Great hotel in a good location

Love the location of this hotel! To be able to walk across the street to coffee shops, restaurants, etc......and then only a 10 minute Uber drive to the beach!

Can tell the floors and countertops are not cleaned regularly. The rooms and hallways need to be updated in tegards to the stained floors they just look dirty and stink. The lobby looks nicer then any other part of the hotel. Theres a dinning room for food but inly for breaksfast.

Usually on point this time not so much was charged 116 dollars extra for a room that was the same exact room except in had a fridge and microwave and a broken air conditioner. when calling at 12:30 at night because we could no longer deal with the noise I was told that they were gonna have to charge me a second time because I will be having two rooms. They wanted me to move all my stuff out of the room as opposed to waiting until the morning totally ridiculous. The shower curtains too short, so the water poured out onto the floor . So we moved to the other room and make sure all of our stuff was out in the middle of the night the room before this one the air conditioner did not work at all. It was totally ridiculous and hot. I don’t understand how management doesn’t notice these things before giving people these rooms. This was not the way this place was not the way. I remember it at all totally disappointed. I believe it’s under new management.

Breakfast was great. A little expensive. Better than going to a free breakfast where there is a mob. I think it should have been 8.99-9.99 rather than 14.99.
