La Valencia Hotel

The room is large but a little dated. The service at reception was great but the restaurant was not great.

I paid a lot of money for an ocean view, but it was obstructed by tents, port a potties for a marathon. I wish the hotel would have informed me that the marathon was happening right outside my room.

The usual $6 water and “resort” fee, no mini-bar, and a long, hard walk to the remote rooms, Still, one of the most pleasant, relaxing properties in the country. A classic old school La Jolla hotel.

This hotel is very unique and once you enter it and are on the grounds, you feel like you could be in Paris, Barcelona, side streets of London. It is such a little boutique, wonderful spot with great service and the difference between all those other places is la Valencia has unbelievable ocean views. Our room was Via Eleven and it was marvelous spotless, and a very good size with a beautiful patio overlooking the park in the ocean. The concierge and the front desk staff were great. We were loved the valet guys and they made us laugh so we felt right at home. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful charming hotel right in the heart of La Jolla… prime location and views, amazing staff (Aaron & Scott were highlights!) made for the perfect getaway. We’ll be staying here again for our next SD trip
