Sofitel Los Angeles is one of my favorite hotels to stay when I am visiting the area, great location to everything cool in Hollywood. Also has a great Jazz Night on Mondays, hoping they bring back their Latin Night on Wednesdays in the near future, which has been removed due to the new renovations of the property. Staff is always great, especially The Bellman’s Adonis. And my favorite amenity is THE Gym! So good, it has everything and then some, including trainers, just wish it was open later or 24 hours.

Our stay was amazing. The room was cleaned meticulously, and the staff were beyond pleasant. The pool was the only average experience, but if you just want somewhere to causally lay and tan, with a clean pool, then this does the trick. Everything else was sublime!

The restaurant closes one hour earlier than stated on their website (10 pm instead of 11). Location is excellent and our room sensational. The lobby was under renovation but ok. This is a hotel clearly undergoing a renovation and the rate was decent.

Nice staff, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, directly across from the Beverly Center and centrally located. Pricey and undergoing renovations when we visited. Parking is valet only and $75 per night. Would give it 4 stars if parking were included.

The hotel is under construction- the pool is not as advertised, the restaurant is shut during the day, the beds are too soft, the hotel is noisy on an intersection. Sound between the rooms is not good. Very expensive and should not be a 4/5 star but more like a 2 star.

Great location. Staff were wonderful. Parking is valet only and $75 a day, there is no self-parking available. Room was nice and there is a water station by the elevator to fill up the reusable metal bottles provided at check-in. The only real complaint was that there are some significant renovations going on in the lobby and parts of the ground floor that were very noisy. It made check in challenging

The hotel was clean with comfortable beds. Fairly quiet. Expected more from the pool. Not really a nice place to lounge. And patio loses sun in the afternoon due to shade from the big buildings in the area.

Sofitels are usually solid, but this one should be torn down and reimagined. It was a bummer from the start. We checked into our first room to find dirty towels on the floor and room service food on the bed. We then moved to another room. The only thing I asked when checking in was that the room be on the quiet side of the hotel. It was not, it faced the busy road. Our balcony was separated from the other balcony by a thin layer of sheet metal. I could hear every word from our neighbor on his balcony all night. It was like he was in the room with us. The bed has a window above the headboard that leads to the bathroom shower. So if someone is sleeping and the other person is showering…the sleeper can hear everything, and is going to be in a bright light in the window from the shower. The room was full of what I think were mosquitoes. I killed about 5 or 6 before I went to bed. Woke up with a giant swollen bite on my eyelid. The design of the room was insanely weird. Weirds angular shapes that make moving about a challenge. There’s not enough closet space for two people. The carpet felt gross and dingy. The towels felt like scratchy cardboard and smelled like some kind of chemical akin to the smell of gasoline. We were originally booked for 6 nights. I checked out and moved to another hotel after 1 night. They took off some fees as a way of saying sorry for the crappy experience, but they should have just refunded the entire thing. I would never stay there again.

I’ve stayed here before a couple of years ago and it was perfect. This time unfortunately the cleanliness of the room/bathroom was not great. There was an odd smell in the room and the bathroom. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable and we weren’t able to sleep. I would stay again but next time if I find things to my dissatisfaction I would ask for a different room. It is likely Sofitel would have accommodated such a request but it was late and we just wanted to go to sleep rather than switch room.

The bed is not adequate. The mattress is smaller than the bed board. Exposing the wood base and hurting guests legs. Also pillows constantly slip to the gap on the headboard.

The hotel has a great gym, and a very fancy entrance and lobby, and the service is very attentive. The room itself was clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay overall. There are, however, a few things future guests may want to be aware of. There is no mini fridge to keep food or drinks cold, although there is a minibar with sensors that will charge you if anything is moved. Parking is available at $75 per night, valet only, but there is a $15, 24-hour option at the shopping center kitty corner from the hotel. The immediate neighborhood includes some poorly lit areas, vacant storefronts and a few unhoused individuals, making it feel a bit unsafe to walk around alone at night.

The property is nice but the bar area was lackluster and really wasn’t anywhere to relax and sit comfortably, there’s BIG difference between the luxury king room Hollywood hills view room. One has the balcony and one doesn’t and for some reason they don’t tell you which one they’re putting you in. I got out in the one without and it felt like a regular room and it didn’t have the bath robe and slippers and it said the room would come with it just did not give luxury at all so I requested to switch to balcony room and that room was different even though it’s labeled the same, the shower is nicer the mini bar serup and overall just a nicer room. Still didn’t have the complementary robe and sandals but didn’t bother requesting them again they felt cheap anyway. Overalll wouldn’t stay again.

We had to be moved from our first room because the AC unit was not working properly. We had to call engineering multiple times to check out the room which was at 78 degrees. It was very stuffy and uncomfortable in the room. We got moved to a second room on a lower floor but it did not look like toiletries were replaced. Check-in service was great, the lady was lovely but after that the experience was not pleasurable, which is upsetting because I was really talking up the hotel before arriving to be completely let down.

I booked a room with two beds. The website indicated 325 sq feet. At check in, given my VIP status I asked for a good room and was told that all rooms with two beds are the same. Our room could not have been larger than 200 sq feet. We were given an odd shape room, whereas two days later I saw that other two bed rooms were normal shape and much larger. Our shower was clogged for two days. Cleaning service forgot to show up one day. There is no bar to have a drink until after 5 pm, the pool was a disaster but I'm told it's being renovated now. It was not a pleasant stay.

The hotel and room were nice but we had issues that still haven't been resolved. The room - the bed was amazingly comfortable, but we didn't receive turndown service as listed in their description. We had also asked for a rollaway bed. We didn't receive it but were charged for it. They said they will reimburse us but it hasn't happened yet. The shower was also out of bath gel. We never received a bill when we checked out, I had to request it. When I did and compared it against my credit card, I realized they charged me twice for everything. I have exchanged multiple emails about this with no solution. I am contacting my credit card company today. Based on the payment issues, I would not stay here again.

I didn’t get any vip anything- I got a horrible room - they upgraded me but charged me for it. Eric the bellmen was the only person that was lovely and cared about my visit. I needed to stay an extra night because of flight delay- Eddie at the front desk was rude and said it was sold out - I then informed him that I could book a room online. It got handled but EW.

Room was very basic, not worth the price we paid for. No balcony which was unfortunate. We valeted our car and forgot something in our car and the valet made us go to the car in the garage ourselves rather than bringing up the car to the lobby for us. For the amount that we paid for valet and the room we were dismayed by this. Other 4 star places would never expect us to walk down into the valet garage ourselves. In addition, our room smelled like old cigarettes.

There were many problems at this hotel with my power going out in my room. To a quest in the next room singing very aloud early in the morning and I received a phone Call at 1:00 am in my room. How did this call get through to my room? I have requested to speak with the manager Eric, he refuses to speak with me about my complaints. The hotel managers refuses to give the corporate office number or emails. I want to make a formal Complaint.

The staff, from the Valet people to the check in people and everyone in between are the best people ever! The Valet (Willy) said Welcome back! after not seeing us for 3 months. All of the staff remembered us, and were as nice as can be. This is the best part of the Hotel in my opinion. The room was clean, everyone was professional. They made us feel like royalty every day we were there.

Good value for lots of space. Our one bedroom suite had nice views and lots of room for a good price. Restaurant is expensive. And location is car mandatory even though the mall is literally across the street. Even by LA standards this seems strange.

My stay at this property was great. The room was really nice and clean. We received a free room upgrade which gave us a view of the hills and Hollywood sign. The customer service from the staff was amazing. They were really helpful and attentive and they anticipated your needs before you even ask. I would definitely recommend booking this place. It’s right across the street from the mall and other shops as well.

The hotel's location is great. Easy access to most places around. The hotel is a bit aged, they are going through renovation now but you see it in the hotel rooms and floors at the moment. They also gave us a refillable water bottle through our stay, but the water machine on our floor broke on our first day of arrival and was broken for all 5 nights we were there, so we had to go to the lobby to get water from them every time. The staff is fantastic, always warm and friendly and smiley. We didn't get a room upgrade as they said they're at high occupancy.

One of the nicest places I've stayed with all the amenities and high quality service for the cost, making it an amazing value. Rooms were very clean and comfy. Quality is 4.5/5. Hotel is on the east fringes of BH, so its more West Hollywood busy streets and closed up buildings. Walking score is a zero and parking is expensive at 65/night. There is no view to the south...its the wall of a shopping mall. Still very central and convenient for nice tourist stay. Overall, I would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Hotel is in prime location across from beverly center however it’s outdated and under construction. The bar and restaurant closes early so if you want a late snack not possible. The rooms are not what they advertise on Expedia

My issues with the property where it was under construction nobody said anything. Also the pool is off to the side and has no bar. They have no room service or alcohol available until 4 PM which is kind of annoying for people that are on vacation that being said, the room was nice to people that work. There was nice, but without those accommodations, it’s just not a hotel for me.

I love this hotel! The people who work there are so friendly and helpful and happy. The gym is great! There’s also a pool. Love the events that they have in the bar on different nights: salsa dancing, cabaret shows, jazz night. The food is good! I wish the restaurant was open during lunch hours and I wish the coffee were cheaper, but overall I love this hotel. It’s right across the street from the Beverly Center Mall. Oh also, the beds are so comfortable that I am going to buy the featherbed and maybe also the sheets and mattress on their online store!! Love how they have that.
