My long haul flight arrived late at night - it was already past 10pm when I got to the hotel. The next day was my checkout date. I requested the hotel reception if I could extend up to 12NN, although their regular checkout time was supposedly 11am. They agreed and gave me an hour extension. They were so considerate as I only had about 14 hours of stay at the hotel, including the 1-hour extension. The room is big and clean. I find it quite near to Stanford, and that’s the purpose why I chose it. It’s reasonably priced for the area. There is no elevator but that’s fine. Thank you Menlo Park Inn.

The room was a good size and clean. My husband found the bed uncomfortable, although I did not. We requested that the room be service every 2 days, but it was not serviced until the 3rd day. The shower head sprayed some of the water from the back of the head where it attached to the pipe. I reported it, but it was not repaired properly. For the price, it was an okay place to stay for a few days, but not great. The fitness center is tiny and doesn't contain much equipment.

I stayed here for a week, and it felt peaceful and homey. The room and grounds were clean, and the overall atmosphere was quiet. From my room, I could hear some traffic from El Camino, but it was more of a soft background hum that didn’t bother me (turning on the AC/fan significantly subdued much of the outside sounds). The complimentary continental breakfast was pleasantly substantial and the dining area was meticulously kept clean. As a vegan, I especially appreciated the hot plain oatmeal (no milk added), along with plenty of toppings, fruits, bagels, juices, among others. A fun variety of teas, coffee, and water are available to guests all day. Most of all, the staff here are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and super accommodating. Two snaps up and a zing! 😊

Staff was very friendly. Parking spaces are pretty small even for small cars. The room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, and overall a good place to stay. I accidentally stepped on the carpet with bare feet, and it did not seem too clean. That would be the only con, so just take slippers.

If my daughter hadn't been with me, I maybe would've been a little disappointed that there was no elevator to the second floor, but she carried my bags. I thought I'd be worried about street noise when I saw the room, but once I locked the door and turned on the AC it was totally quiet.

This is a very convenient location for the area with free parking and also has easy access to the Caltrain station just two blocks away. We would have preferred stronger water pressure in the shower and a little bit more room. Breakfast options were limited but we appreciated the 24/7 availability of coffee, tea and chilled water.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. It has been consistent. The rooms are clean, the amenities are just fine. I’m not looking for anything fancy just clean with a good hot shower and a television that doesn’t require two remotes. Ha! Parking is a huge plus. That can get expensive quickly.

I've stayed here a few times. They have the best espresso machine in the lobby! The staff is ALWAYS so sweet and nice. The rooms are always clean, the housekeepers are so nice. It's reasonably priced. Really glad I found this place.

The rooms at the Menlo Park Inn are always spotless and warm during cold weather. It's only a few minutes from Stanford Medical Center and rates are a bargain on Sunday nights when you have an appointment the next day. Staff is always friendly and welcoming, and went above and beyond to return an item I left behind. The espresso machine in the lobby is a lot more convenient than going to a nearby coffee shop,

The first time I stayed here I was on the second floor and the room smelled of mold. Other than that, it was a fine hotel considering it was over $100 cheaper than the next one. I stayed here again a month later and ended up with a remodeled room and it didn’t smell of mold…but the water coming out of the faucet was brown. I don’t think I’ll be staying here again.

Property has been updated but rooms are small. We were towards the back of the property so street noise was minimal. The room was mostly cleaned except for in the bathtub there was hairs from someone else that were left behind. Overall for the price not a bad deal.

In General, The property was OK, but was quite disappointing... Photos were not representative of the Property... Room had issues with not being clean. Air conditioner/heater very difficult to manage and kept us up a good portion of the night...

The staff was wonderful and friendly, the room was very clean with no problems. The coffee at breakfast was some of the best I have ever had. The breakfast was not the best with just oatmeal and bagels and toast. Eggs and biscuits and gravy would have been nice. Overall it was a nice place to stay if you just needed a place to sleep. We would stay there again.

This is a motel that has been upgraded to more a boutique hotel feel. The staff was excellent and room was nice. The bathrooms are a bit dated with combined bathtub/shower. The hotel is walking distances to many restaurants in the area.

Hands down the most uncomfortable bed I have ever tried to sleep on. And I say tried because there was no sleep between the loud screeching noise coming from who knows where every hour and the plywood mattress. Now I will say house keeping and the front desk were fantastic but you will never catch me anywhere near this place again. I can’t figure out how this hotel had such great ratings and reviews.

The room was clean and well appointed. The bathroom was a bit dated, but had no issues. Would have prefered drapes to shutters. The light ftom outside shown thru like a night light in the room. Over al a pleasant stay and would be happy to stay again.

Nice place, it’s a motel with some design upgrades. Clean linens, heat worked, bed firm but comfortable, sheets a little scratchy and we used the extra blanket they provided. The walls are thin so we heard tv noise from the neighbors but it didn’t bother us. Walking distance to lots of restaurants.and the Guild. Would totally recommend and stay there again. It was priced right. The front desk folks were really nice and helpful too

We really enjoy staying here. It's comfortable and the staff really is so accommodating! They really went overboard for us. Seems nothing is too much for them. Really good breakfast that starts early which is helpful when you have an early appt at Stanford.

Requested early check in and approved for it. Check in host at lobby said our room had to be cleaned first, and she stated she would give us a call in 30-60 minutes. We sat in the parking lot and waited patiently for over an hour without a call, so we proceeded to check back in on the status of our room. She gave us our cards/keys to the room, and then we realized we had been viewing the room from our vehicle while waiting in the parking lot….nobody had gone in or out to clean the room. It didn’t need to be cleaned like she said. It was ready the whole time. Frustrating, to say the least.

Property was great. Rooms were adorable, clean, quiet and comfortable. The only thing is the girl at the front desk needs a new job that doesn’t involve dealing with people. She was super rude, not welcoming or helpful. Other than that the hotel was great.

We enjoyed our stay. I was scheduled for surgery at Stanford and the Menlo Park Inn is in very close proximity. I requested a ground floor room so as not to climb stairs. The staff was very friendly and helpful and accommodating to my needs. We would stay here again.

This is a great stay. It is located in the Menlo Park - Palo Alto area with easy access to both communities and Stanford. Caltrain is nearby for quick travel to San Francisco (40 minutes to the main city station in downtown). Accommodating staff and very good value.

The Menlo Park Inn is in a central location if you are visiting Stanford, and the bay area in general (including San Francisco). The room was clean and recently remodeled. The staff is very friendly. Very comfortable bed and a clean updated feel. The coffee maker was one of those cheap pod machines, and it only makes 1/2 cup of coffee at the time The girls at the reception were not interested in helping when they saw I was having trouble figuring out an unfamiliar machine, even when I asked... For that price range anywhere else I would get a real breakfast and cup of quality coffee served with a smile. Maybe in the Bay Area DIY is the new norm?
