Location - downtown oceanside, right off the 5, harbor adjacent, beach / harbor access close (both are a short drive away, or a long walk). Train station, food, market, pier all within 10 minute walk or short drive. View - I got a room with a beautiful view of the harbor Parking - free and plentiful Traffic noise obscured any noise from adjacent rooms (5 freeway and a busy road are very close) My room was older and a bit run down. At the same time, it was comfy, clean and had a beautiful view, and it was the perfect price.

The first room I was given, on the first floor, was absolutely disgusting. There was algae in the faucet knob, the carpet was damp, and there were gross stains on the drapes and the bench in the open closet area. I asked for a room change, and the manager was extremely kind and accommodating. The second room was a huge improvement. When I needed to leave a few days earlier than planned, the manager was very kind and offered a refund. The management of the place is wonderful, but the indoor portions of the property are in pretty bad shape. The pool seemed nice, and the landscaping is lovely. It's a very mixed bag.

As the title says, it is an OK place except for the cockroaches. Didn't notice them until I came in late on my second night. The worst part was when I was packing on the next morning and found one in my luggage. Unpacked everything to be sure I wasn't taking any with me to my next two stops which would be with family. I didn't want to bring them any unwanted guests. If cockroaches don't bother you, then it is an OK place. Bed was comfortable. It seemed clean. Carpets were worn in places. I had a first floor room so I had a little patio I could have enjoyed if was there other than for sleeping. A group of kids was really enjoying the pool. It certainly is in a convenient location for getting off/on the freeway and for seeing Oceanside. Assuming the staff will read my comments, I did not report the cockroaches when I first saw them because it was late at night an I needed to get to sleep. Nor did I report them the next morning when I dropped off my key because nobody was at the desk.

The place is not safe, the room was dirty, the floor mat was stained, and it had a strong bad smell. the furniture was old. The pool was horrible, the water was dirty. They were washing the stairs and the dirty water was running into the pool. This was horrible

Traveling with an infant and a kid. Check in is at 3pm and I called to check if we could check in earlier. The girl I spoke to said we could check in at 1pm. We arrived at 1pm then the front desk girl told me in a rude manner that they don't have rooms available and we should come back at 2pm. We waited in the parking lot for 1 hour to check in. Once checked in, we were placed in a room in the 2nd floor. We could hear loud banging noise from up above and the next room. Their wifi is very slow. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but had to cancel on the first night when we noticed bed bugs on our beds. Bed bugs come out at night. We noticed the bed bugs around 11pm and had to transfer to another hotel which is inconvenient traveling with kids.

Do not stay here. The room smelled and there were bugs everywhere. Sheets were dirty and smelled also. Stay at the best western Oceanside palms a few doors down. Way cleaner and they offer free breakfast.

Super outdated and really grubby. I wouldn’t even sit on the furniture, so dirty and stained. From certain angles you could see walls dripping with something splattered on it. Bed sheets were nice and clean and the only place I would sit. It’s the kind of place you don’t walk barefoot in.

We stayed in the bottom floor and unfortunatly there were homless staying outside of the hotel directly under our room Windows, we could not open one of the windows due to no screen in the window, also the homless smoking under the room windows. The wifi never worked we called the front desk multiple times and were told it would be "reset" the network never showed up as available. Besides those issues the room was clean the beds were comfortable, we have stayed here a few times and will continue to just not on the bottom floor ocean view.

First, the place was clean. The bed was comfortable. Other than that it was overpriced. There were no towel hooks for hand towels. They just sat them on the counter. There was no closet or hangers. Fortunately I had my hang up clothes on hangers so was able to hang them on the 3 hooks that were on a wall next to the door to the patio. There was a lot of road noise. Very few electrical outlets. Just a worn out looking room. It did have a frig and microwave, however, the frig was not plugged in and there was still some icecream from a previous guest in the freezer part, which spilled all over when we moved the frig to plug it in. It was okay for the 3 days we were there but we've decided you don't get much anymore for these prices.

Not great. Was unable to sleep. Parking lot lights were on all night and shown into the room so it wasn’t dark. Room was next to the elevator so you hear it. Had to unplug the refrigerator because it made noise. Bathtub faucet leaked.

The bed was sitting on some kind of metal platform that was close to the edge. I kept hitting my feet on it. It made a loud sound. The mattress was tilted. Pillows uncomfortable. The microwave is too far down and is hard t see and use. The towels were very rough on my skin. The view from the balcony was spectacular.

Staff was friendly. Despite keeping the do not disturb sign on the door, each day the room was entered while we were away. This felt like a privacy violation.Floors are not adequately insulated for sound. Facilty was dated but maintained. Location was great for walkimg to restraunts and the street fair.

the only thing I didn't like was that I called one week before my trip. stating that I had to reduce the amount of day due to an emergency. They all avoided the Issue. And even that I bought Insurance to protect my reservation. They just found ways to keep my money...Not happy about that.

When reading the reviews for this hotel, it was not good. But I decided to stay because there were reviews about the ocean view Rooms that were quite good. Because this is the one night stay thought I’d try it. When we got there, I went over and looked at the room and it was very unsatisfactory! So I went back to the office and asked if there was another room with an ocean view. She flat out said no there was not. So I gave up and went back to the room at which time I decided to take a shower because we had been at the beach all day. There was a dirty washcloth hanging on the top of the shower curtain. That pretty much did it for me. So I called the front office and spoke to the same young lady about the washcloth. Let’s just put it this way, She was rude and had an attitude. Not only that she hung up on me twice! My husband and I decided to check out. I went up to the office and let her know how unhappy I was with her disrespect of me. She then began to argue and talk over me when I was just trying to get her to at least apologize and treat me as a customer should be treated. I have never ever had such a bad experience! I asked to speak to the manager at which time she said I am the manager. I hope that anyone who reads this will take into consideration what has happened to me. She did, however, refund us for that night.

I stayed here four nights in mid July. This was a very uneventful stay - nothing bad happened - the room was clean. The hotel seems like it is on the old side, but, the room was fine. The staff was friendly - very good place for the price and I would stay there again.

The desk manager, Mona was very kind, helpful, and friendly. While the place is older, I believe built I the 70’s, the room given me was clean and well-kept and my stay was nice.

The last time we stayed we had a knock at the door at three pm by a tweaker. We have stayed prior and have been approached to purchase drugs from the person. So the hotel is decently priced but the area is not the best if you want to go in and out of your room after dark.

We only stayed one night, but love the area, close to the Oceanside Marina/Harbor. It was clean and comfortable, and although you are right off the I-5 corridor, it is quiet inside.

There was no coffee and no breakfast altho the website says there is. The room had no seating area so the only place to sit to watch tv was on the bed and the pillows were not supportive enough. A bit disappointing.

The building is run down bungalow style. Carpet felt filthy. Unpatched holes in walls. Clean tub, shower, sink; sheets ok, but blanket left me uncertain. Nice view of harbor. No coffee in room or lobby. Water tastes poor. This was bottom end of suitable at mid price. Next trip, spend $10 more and go next door.

The area isn't great so for the price it was okay. But everything was dingy, not dirty. The fridge was extremely outdated and it keeping cold was not the best. There isn't a coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was shut down. The ironing board had cuts in it. The tub didn't have a stopper and slow to drain even with the shower on. The curtain had mold on it which I think came from the AC leaking water on the floor. The beds were very hard also. Some people like that... Overall it gave a place to stay that wasn't the worst but definitely might reconsider next time. It really needs an update.

For the highly inflated price for staying there, they offer nothing....no coffee maker in rooms, no coffee or breakfast (which they had before the pandemic....which has been declared over) i stay there because of the convenience during my time in Oceanside. But i may have to rethink my lodging options.
