My room was clean and all employees were always very nice and helpful. Breakfasts are good and usually there is coffee/ tea available all day. However, the carpets around the hotel have awful stains, the area at the entrance is usually not very clean, some doors do no work with entry cards, the gym equipment is not working properly, and kitchen drawers/ stove/ pots/ utensils should be reviewed and fixed. My opinion is that the employees are doing their job and working hard. Management should evaluate what can be done to improve the overall experience

Decent place to stay. Its clean and the soap and shampoo smells good. Free breakfast works for me, and the staff is friendly. Just wish they had a jacuzzi, but it wont stop me from going back.

The back door was prompt open with a plastic bottle, and couldn’t understand why. Well when it is shut, you can’t get back into building. I complained to the front desk and for four days, their maintenance department didn’t fix it. The key card device didn’t work.

One of the nicer extended stay properties I have used. Nice central location. Staff is great. Tucked away. Good atmoshphere and clean rooms. Maintenance staff responsive. They had to replace the broken dishwasher in my room and fix a squeaky chair. The not so good: No pool or hot tub. Wireless was finicky and would go out often. The room cards will demagnatize and stop working if you look at them the wrong way. It was daily reprogramming. DO NOT get a room facing the back of the hotel. The rear parking area is used as a thouroufare for the next door shopping center. For some reason there are a group of extremely loud BMW cars parked here for hours (no mufflers) that love to rev their engines for a few minutes before they leave the area. It will rattle your windows. It's almost like a 'how loud can we be' club. The drivers seem to work in the area and are there daily. The breakfast was tasteless fake eggs and cardboard bacon or sausage. You can tell they use the same batch for days on end. Coffee IS available 24 hours! Unfortunately is is watered down and terrible. I would stay there again, careful of what room they place me in. It could be great if they do something about their rear parking lot, make a better breakfast and coffee. But, it is much better than Extended Stay America properties!

Front desk staff professional and friendly. We had two prepaid bookings for the same type of room. The employee made it simple and seamless. Offered us a choice of floors to stay on. Explained where things were in the hotel, when breakfast would be available and parking. Hotel is showing signs of wear, furniture in the room has frayed arms and seams splitting, curtains would not close. Hallway carpeting has ripples so luggage doesn’t roll easy. Breakfast was pleasant and staff kept the area clean and stocked. A shopping center has grown up around the hotel with popular businesses so at times parking can be at a premium. Noise as always depends on the other guests. Lots of restaurants with in a very short walking distance. When we visit our daughters and grandchildren this hotel is always our first choice

The lobby and hallways smelled like raw fish. Luckily the room did not. But the room was not very clean, the beds squeaked every time one of us moved, the complimentary breakfast was disgusting(soggy eggs w/green onions mixed in, stale cereals and breads and waffles that left a wax like film in our mouths. Coffee was full of grounds) The room also had several spots on the walls where the paint was peeling. There was also zero ventilation in the bathroom so we had to leave the door open during showers or it would get way too hot. The chairs at the desk also were filthy with stains and crumbs and hair. If this was $70 a night I could see, but it was almost $200

After second night I realized there were blood on the bed sheets! Disgusting!!! I called the front desk and the girl said I should bring the bed sheet downstairs so she can see it and she will go ee another bedsheets to replace. Mind you, I told them I am there for a week for my cancer treatments. They did not care. She said there's no more housekeeping This is at 630pm! So I demanded to change rooms. And she just said ok get your new room key downstairs. So I packed and went downstairs. I saw 2 young ladies employees just laughing out loud when I went to talk to them they gave me the keys. All this time, NO APOLOGIES! Unbelievable! The hotels is dirty Stinky. Old. No service whatsoever. DO NOT stay here. They are not even that cheapest on the area. Worst hotel experience of my life!

This hotel offered amenities but it needs a major face lift and improved cleaning. My room felt like I warped into a tattered run down 80’s room. Carpet was old and ripped, and the curtain was hanging on by a paper clip (literally). Also there was animal feces in the stairwell for days (dried so it had to have been there due weeks). I told the front desk and someone said they cleaned only to find that it was still there when I walked stairs the next day. I had to go to the front desk another time to have them inspect again and clean.

The room needed maintenance, corner living room lamp was broken at the top bulb just hung over to one side, armrests on couch were discolored from dirt, the lining on back of the blackout curtains has disintegrated in multiple spots so that sunlight shines through, the living room blackout curtains must be grabbed and manually closed and opened, ceiling light burnt out in bathroom, carpet frayed in living room. I stayed here a few years ago and I remember this place was in great shape I wonder what happened. I guess a lack of investment.

Check-in was smooth, and Destiny at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located in a strip mall setting, right across from Starbird (big plus) and BevMo, with a shared parking lot that made finding a space easy. Just a heads-up: avoid leaving valuables in your car. The room itself was spacious since all units are suites. Like many older hotels, it could use some updates — the fridge was quite noisy. That said, the room was clean and well-kept. The bathroom was surprisingly large, though oddly placed within the layout. The biggest downside was the bed — very firm and not comfortable, which made for a restless night's sleep. Noise was also an issue, as the guest upstairs was stomping around late at night and early in the morning, to the point it shook the ceiling. Place was a good price and clean but kitchen sink wouldn’t drain and it was really noisy. People were thumping around above me both late and early. If you are a light sleeper request the top floor.

Be aware that they rarely clean your room (every 4 days supposedly). However, they randomly change their cleaning schedule and might not even clean your room on the day they say they will. Some of the staff is super friendly and others quite the opposite.

The front desk person didn’t know what she was doing and charged the wrong card. And I couldn’t even get towels I had to go downstairs. The front desk phone was busy the whole time when you call from your room phone so I had to call on my cell

The room was clean, sufficient amenities,staff extremely friendly. This was our second stay at Larkspar within a year, we love the breakfast served , and the laundry facilities. Ample parking and shops close by .

Front desk staff professional and friendly. We had two prepaid bookings for the same type of room. The employee made it simple and seamless. Offered us a choice of floors to stay on. Explained where things were in the hotel, when breakfast would be available and parking. Hotel is showing signs of wear, furniture in the room has frayed arms and seams splitting, curtains would not close. Hallway carpeting has ripples so luggage doesn’t roll easy. Breakfast was pleasant and staff kept the area clean and stocked. A shopping center has grown up around the hotel with popular businesses so at times parking can be at a premium. Noise as always depends on the other guests. Lots of restaurants with in a very short walking distance. When we visit our daughters and grandchildren this hotel is always our first choice

The hotel was ok. The door to my room didn't self close all the way and a couple time i walked away with door still ajar. When i first checked in i found the kitchen sink backed up and the floor flooded. The hotel is also right next to a Chik-Fil-A and the traffic cutting the the hotels parking lot was annoying.

The hotel is located in a strip mall setting, right across from Starbird (big plus) and BevMo, with a shared parking lot that made finding a space easy. Just a heads-up: avoid leaving valuables in your car. The room itself was spacious since all units are suites. Like many older hotels, it could use some updates — the fridge was quite noisy. We always stay here when we travel to the Bay Area. We are able to walk to BART and anything we need is right there. The staff is always great and the breakfast is always good. It is well worth the price.

Area very nice Vagrants on property inside hotel and outside on property..It still felt 100 percent safe at all times day or night and many places to eat nearby and movie theatre nearby that looks very nice on the inside..No worries about those people on property..Really..

One of the nicer extended stay properties I have used. Nice central location. Staff is great. Tucked away. Good atmoshphere and clean rooms. Maintenance staff responsive. They had to replace the broken dishwasher in my room and fix a squeaky chair. The not so good: No pool or hot tub. Wireless was finicky and would go out often. The room cards will demagnatize and stop working if you look at them the wrong way. It was daily reprogramming. DO NOT get a room facing the back of the hotel. The rear parking area is used as a thouroufare for the next door shopping center. For some reason there are a group of extremely loud BMW cars parked here for hours (no mufflers) that love to rev their engines for a few minutes before they leave the area. It will rattle your windows. It's almost like a 'how loud can we be' club. The drivers seem to work in the area and are there daily. The breakfast was tasteless fake eggs and cardboard bacon or sausage. You can tell they use the same batch for days on end. Coffee IS available 24 hours! Unfortunately is is watered down and terrible. I would stay there again, careful of what room they place me in. It could be great if they do something about their rear parking lot, make a better breakfast and coffee. But, it is much better than Extended Stay America properties!

Great location for freeway, restaurants and shopping. Nice to have a kitchen. Daily breakfast could have improved due to lack of replenishment and finding empty trays and no coffee on multiple occasions. Was told they “ran out” of eggs and sausages for 2 days. Hard boiled eggs are left out at room temp. Room felt dirty and I wiped all down with disinfectant wipes upon arrival. No maid service even upon request. Left garbage in hallway and please clean room sign on door. They emptied garbage and left them in the hallway. Never got clean towels. Rooms are a nice size and the amenities are nice.

A hot breakfast was included in our stay but Saturday coffee took forever to replace it and the same with Sunday. Sunday seemed to be whatever was left over from Saturday as far as yogurts juices. Other than than it was good

I like staying at this hotel. The price is reasonable, the staff is friendly and polite. It's clean and a convenient location in Pleasanton. The only negative is the eggs and sides is not good. The waffle and other continental food is good. I've stayed here several times throughout the past years and will continue to stay here.

Property is getting dated. Tv in bedroom came on but there wasn't any service. Breakfast was good first 2 days I was there. 3rd day it was lacking. Parking spaces were very narrow. Room was clean and so was rest of hotel.

It has been a rare occurrence for me to check into a hotel and actually have peace and quiet. I was left alone, I did not have any noisy neighbors above or beside me, and I FINALLY was able to sleep. I did not even take advantage of the lovely kitchen I was provided, the glassware and dishes they offer, or all of the wonderful offerings they have because I was glued to that lovely bed the entire time. The kindness of the staff far surpassed any expectation I had and I am looking forward to my return.

I think the hotel offers good value with a hot breakfast included, laundry room, gym available staff were courteous and responsive. Good location with grocery store which is few minutes walk, infrared sauna and restaurants also walkable distance. Hotel could do with updating, a little dark in reception area but overall would stay again when visiting Pleasanton.
