Pleasant accommodations and friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Location was within walking distance to Fisherman’s wharf and other local attractions. Maybe they will provide full continental breakfast in the future. Highly recommended!

This hotel offers free parking, which was a huge plus! The rooms were very clean as well. Area felt safe and was walkable.

We spent one night at Francisco Bay Inn. Reasonably affordable hotel with free parking and walkable to the wharf and pier. It’s an older building but the rooms have been updated quite nice with comfy beds. Room was clean. The walls are thin and it’s noisy but we were exhausted and crashed. The AC unit was noisy as well. I would absolutely stay here again, it worked out quite well for us. if you are a light sleeper, skip this one.

This hotel is in a location close to Fisherman’s Wharf, about 1 mile and easy walk. The room is very nice, very modern and clean. It is one of the few hotels that provide free parking inside the city. The outside looks more rundown. The elevator is not easy to use so we ended up using the stairs more. We do feel it is safe here. All in all a good stay.

Overall we had a pleasant experience at this hotel. The rooms were on the smaller side, but didn't feel cramped. They were clean, modern enough, and the bathroom was fairly spacious. The bed comfortable enough, and there was a decent sized TV should you wish to use it (we didn't). Well located and within walking distance of attractions like Lombard Street and Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39. Union Square and China Town are also within walking distance, albeit a little further away. The hotel is on a very busy road, so the noise may bother some people. We were so tired from all of the walking and travelling that it didn't bother us at all. Parking is very tight, particularly as we had a RAM truck, but the receptionist came out at helped us squeeze into a space, which was much appreciated. Overall I'd definitely recommend this hotel for short stay in San Francisco, as we both felt that it was well priced (given that it was also July 4th), clean, and conveniently located.

View of Golden Gate Bridge was great and the room was nicely renovated. Noise level was high, particularly of guests. While parking is free, they spots are very small and fill up very fast.

Solid, bare bones place. The free parking was the highlight. However the spots are tiny and if you come past 10pm it’s unlikely to get a spot. The rooms are clean and simple, but the property is not the greatest. Some general facility issues like key cards repeatedly faulty, elevator broken, and broken vending machines. But for a cheap and convenient stay, it definitely works.

Brief one night stay - the room was clean however the overwhelming stench of air fresheners was somewhat brutal throughout. Cheap price / great neighborhood. Thin walls could hear the upstairs guest throughout the night. The room was recently renovated, linens etc tolerable.

A very clean and comfortable place to stay that is close to the fisherman’s wharf area, many stores and restaurants, and the muni bus stop if you want to explore the many other areas of SF. Loved the free parking option and the complementary coffee in the morning. Staff was very nice. Check in and check out was a breeze. Highly recommend!

The hotel was nice and clean, just like in the photos. The owner were friendly enough, but not so much helpful. The front desk didn’t even bother to tell if coffee machine and hot water (don’t know anything else offered) will be available in the morning for the guess. Same thing, that was the answer when asked whether the rear parking are easier or harder to park. No explanation how to go there and else. Very noisy room (in front of the street) and the heater. Nice for the free parking. Safe area.

The entire property and room was well kept

The owner of this hotel is incredible. He went above and beyond to help me out. The hotel itself needs some work. The parking spaces are really tight, the walls are paper thin, and there were dead bugs squished on the wall and ceiling. Solid location but traffic is loud all day and night. I’d probably stay again for the price, but overall the room layout was strange and could be a lot cleaner.

Overall, the hotel and the location are ok. We arrived earlier and the staff was ok with us parking the car for the day before the check-in so that we could go and enjoy the city. However, on the first night we found gum on the blanket, I went to the office and I showed them a picture and they apologize providing a new one and asked that I let the blanket near the entrance so the next morning they could get rid of it. The next day I let the blanket near the door, with the gum on top, clearly visible. Then went on with my day and later went back to the office and said they didn\'t see the gum on the blanket and when I showed them the picture again, they said it was not their blanket, that the pattern was different. I was really frustrated as it seems they were accusing me of "faking" this or whatever. The staff said he went himself and didn\'t see the gum. So I don\'t know in who\'s blanket we got on. Terribly dissapointed by all of this and it really let a bitter taste to my stay in San Francisco.

This motel is very centrally located with an easy walking distance to the wharf district and North Beach, and it is right around the corner from a bus line to the mission district. My room was updated and clean, had a bathtub, which I appreciated, had a nice TV. The motel staff was exceptional, and even allowed me to park my car a few hours before check-in so that I could make this tour I had booked. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have friends coming into San Francisco the one an affordable option with parking.

The staff is amazing. My room was by the stairs and was the closest room to Lombard Street hence it was quite noisy. I did not find the bed overly comfortable and the same for the pillows. It was an average room at a competitive price hence the average rating.

Inexpensive hotels in San Francisco are a rare bread. When I visited San Francisco this hotel (more like a motel) was on the cheaper end of the scale, but surprised with good sized rooms, that feel modern and fresh, offering a a microwave and fridge. There are only two downsides. (1) Lombard Street is a busy street and you might hear road noise for most of the night (2) The air conditioner / heating unit is on the noisy side However, if the price is right, this is a great option

The room itself was very nice and clean. The walls are very thin and we unfortunately could hear every word of people who passed by our room. The traffic noises were so loud that we did not get much sleep after 6am when the traffic started. The location is great and we had a great view of the golden gate bridge from our window. We will unfortunately not stay again due to the extremely loud noises.

The location is good and the rooms are clean. However, the internet connection is very spotty. It is not acceptable in this era.

The inn was centrally located, with ample parking spaces. It was also within walking distance to a few public transit options, but a bit far from BART. The room was quite spacious, especially the bathroom. It was also recently renovated. However, the noise was Lombard St was too much. The rooms had poor sound proof, and the noise from the traffic, especially the motorbikes, could be disruptive to many sleepers.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and very nice. Room and bathroom was remodeled and clean. Windows are sound proof, no noise from the street. I really recommend San Francisco Bay Inn.

We really enjoyed our stay here as there were 3 of us. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. We had 2 queen beds. They have an elevator; ice machine and a really cool coffee machine in the lobby! Serves Pete’s and Starbucks! I really dug the guy at the front desk, very attentive and knowledgeable. Well, that’s what you can’t read. Will be returning.

When I checked in the gentleman was kind and helpful because I had two other family member checking in just a bit later. He told me to take a picture of the parking rules etc... So I did. We went out for dinner came back and the woman at the desk greeted me with EXTREME attitude when I asked about the parking and I did not understand their map I took a picture of. Needless to say my husband went in and gave her a few words after watching the exchange thru the window and knowing it did not go well. Then we found out when one of the other family members had checked in, got her and she was very rude to them as well. So it was not just me. However, I will not stay here again because of her.

The staff is wonderful, especially Henry. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Great location. Clean and quiet rooms. And free parking!

I was able to check in earlier with no additional fees and front desk staff was helpful when giving directions for taking public transportation.

The front desk guy was a nightmare.

I was unhappy with the front desk manager he was rude even him discounting the room after I told him I was going to do a review on him. It is very noisy outside. Did not sleep well and had work the next day.

Location was great! In a very walkable area. Highly recommend going to Kopiku Coffee across the street, it was a morning ritual while staying here and some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. The room was clean and comfortable. Road noise is loud though, so plan accordingly. I had to sleep with headphones in to drown it out. Had to knock off some stars for the service. The guy who checked us in was very rude from the get-go. After we checked in we asked if there was any way to pay to park an extra car since we had driven in from different states and were told no even though there were spots available and nothing online said it was limited when we booked it. They even have double-deep spots that can fit two cars. I should have called ahead to ask, but didn’t think about it till we got there. They would only give us another parking spot if we booked an entirely new room which would have been hundreds of more dollars than leaving it in a garage. We even asked if we could just leave it one night and move it the next day since it was already so late and the guy basically laughed and told us to get lost. So at 11pm we had to go drive around looking for a secure garage to leave our other car. Every time you drive in they will come out of the office and harass you until you show them your parking pass and also micromanage your parking job if it isn’t perfect. Very annoying!

My wife and I stayed at the Francisco Bay Inn during her knee surgery, and we were very pleased with our experience. Henri, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure we were well-cared for. He made sure my was comfortable and that her post-surgery needs were not a concern. Overall the hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly.

Exactly what we were looking for with an economy hotel. Located close to the wharf and on a main road with easy access to public transportation. The room looked remodeled with a modern look. Nice and clean and functional. There was also parking included on the property, which is a huge plus. The accommodation is simple, but perfect if you don't plan of spending a lot of time in your room, just need it to sleep at night. Would definitely recommend if this is what you are looking for.

Good location

Perfect location, clean area. Older motel but completely redone. Comfy beds. Fridge, microwave, free parking. Walkable to Ghirardelli square. Bus stop just down the street. Amazing service; they let us check in early and gave us great advice about using public transportation. Very clean. Small, no frills room with huge bathroom. Would definitely stay again!!!

We had stayed at this property in Oct 2022 before the refurbishment and it was just okay. With the updated rooms, it’s so much nicer, cleaner. Besides the room updates, we stay here because parking is included, there are good restaurants nearby and it’s 10-15 minute walk to Fisherman’s Wharf. The staff is friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable for location. Will definitely be going back within the next 6 months.

Rooms have been updated and are great! Close to dining and shopping in Marina area, Cow Hollow and Fisherman's Wharf. Definitely booking here again.

Free parking, minutes away from famous Lombard St. Rooms look like they were recently renovated, staff very accommodating and helpful w information regarding tours in the city. Free coffee a plus. Only negative for me, my upstairs neighbors were always up and walking around in the early morning. Orher than that, would definitely stay here again, I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you.

The staff was amazing.They we friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They helped us find good public transportation; which was really important to us. They were very responsive when we needed something. Our room was clean and ready on time. The only drawback was that they use Fabuloso cleaning products and I am very sensitive to it. It was very strong and gave me a headache. I had to open the door and window to help flush the scent out. But the room was spacious and clean. Parking was good. I appreciated the free parking. And they provided a very nice coffee machine for my early morning coffees. I would stay with them again.
