Hyatt Place San Francisco/Downtown

Great location for sports fans going to Oracle. There is no valet service or bag service however. Getting checked in/out can be problematic with the limited space on the street and then parking offsite.

This hotel is so great for access to Oracle Park and the waterfront. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable room and beds. Excellent Peruvian restaurant and bar on the rooftop.

Excellent stay. Easy check in. Parking on site is limited and $80/day ($94 with tax), however there’s a secured lot across the street for $30/day. It’s a block away from ATT park

Very clean property and the staff was super friendly. Parking was across the street at a covered paid lot. It was very safe and only $30 for overnight parking. Walked to the Chase Center. Easy 20 minute walk. Oracle Park is across the street.

Miniscule room. Hallway noises disrupted bedtime. Parking was a nightmare; only six underground slots designed for small cars - uncomfortable maneuvering for three full sized SUVs occupying undersized spaces.

The hotel is pretty and is in a great area for walking around, however the hotel itself has limited parking for $95 a night and no valet. We were told it was “in and out parking privileges” but we weren’t told that once we left the garage to come into the hotel there was no way to get back into the garage without a staff member. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful but extremely busy, there is also a restaurant/bar in the lobby but it was not open at all while we were there so it felt difficult for actual guests of the hotel to get food/drinks. We noticed the hotel had a delivery area for DoorDash orders which further gave us the impression to find food outside of the hotel. Our room was nice, we paid extra for a high level room but the view was pretty much directly into the apartments across from us, we also found leftover food from a previous guest in our mini fridge, we weren’t told about the master electricity switch in our room which we figured out, we also weren't told our towels were inside of the shower so we requested extra not realizing. Overall, the hotel isn’t bad but it’s not at all worth the higher price tag

Hotel was nice and clean. No issues. But watch out .. the hotel is advertised as having parking, but their parking is super small. Can't fit more than 10 vehicles so you have to park across the street for 35 USD flat rate per night.

Great night. Only demerit is the parking situation. It requires a front desk attendant to let guests into the underground lot and to open the gate to let cars in and out

The staff was wonderful, close to Orca park, and rooms were very cozy! Everything was great! Only negative i would say, i dont think our room waa vacuumed before we go there because there was oreo cookie pieces on the carpet between the couch and bed. Other than that, i would definitely stay again!

The breakfast was very good compared to other American breakfasts. There was cereal, fresh fruit and real cutlery (instead of plastic). Unfortunately we had mold in the bathroom. We only stayed here one night and only saw the mold on the morning of our departure. We addressed this at checkout. There was nothing except an apology. In other hotels there is a discount for this. Our room had some quirks and was getting a bit old. Here and there attempts were made to repair the damage, but it didn't look good. For example, the entire ceiling in the bathroom was stained.

The stay was okay until we found dirty panties left behind from a previous person staying in the room we occupied. We are still waiting on our full refund. Pretty gross and disgusting. The parking was very hard to get into and out of. All and all we would not stay here again.

The parking was ridiculously priced also our sheets were dirty when we arrived to the hotel. I don’t think I would come back to this hotel again. The people were nice but for the price I don’t believe this was worth it.

I’ve stayed at several Hyatt Places in the past and am extremely disappointed with the accommodations at this specific location. First off, upon checking in, the hotel closed off its parking lot and said it was full for the night. How are you going to build a facility without the proper parking situation for its guests. I’m not sure if the hotel was allowing outside guests park here for the game (Giants and Warriors were playing that night) but not having the proper parking amenities for GUESTS is completely unacceptable. The hotel staff at the front desk pointed out “other parking options” but in busy DT and one way streets, the allotted lot would take 30 plus minutes to get to in traffic. I explained my frustrations but recieved several rolled eyes in response as the staff apologized and stated the hotel parking would not reopen at all till the following morning. Now, on to to the room. I can’t believe how unmaintained the bathroom was. The shower looked run down, paint chipping, and stained. I felt so uncomfortable showering I had to lay a towel down or keep my slippers on because of how disgusting it appeared. I really do hope Hyatt takes this review into consideration. I have never left a hotel review but I do have to let others know that this Hyatt Place does not meet the standards of others.

We were dismayed to find ourselves parking in a distant garage, rather than at the hotel as indicated. This crucial detail was absent from the online description, making our experience feel quite unsettling. Additionally, we specifically booked a room with a view, yet were given one overlooking the street. Instead of enjoying the beautiful skyline, our window was obstructed by a massive billboard blocking the scenery. This was truly disappointing!

Really good room just no fan and $80 for underground parking that I think they’re just doing on the side (only like 8 parking spots) first come first serve. So no free parking for expensive rates and also had to pay for breakfast. No fans in the room it was so hot with no circulation. And the “ac” was broke. Someone came to fix it and got it working and then it was just room temp air.

The room was clean and comfortable. The TV in the room allowed us to connect to any of our Apps for entertainment with easy instructions. The location was walkable and the Front Desk team was kind and helpful. We would definitely come back!

While the hotel was clean and in a convenient location, my stay at Hyatt Place Downtown San Francisco was negatively impacted by excessive noise throughout the property. Street and train noise were constant, and the upstairs restaurant frequently created disturbances, especially at night with chairs being moved and floors being cleaned. Additionally, doors were slamming at all hours, making it difficult to get any restful sleep. Although I appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel, the lack of sound insulation and frequent disturbances significantly affected my experience. I would not recommend this hotel to travelers who are looking for a quiet or restful stay.

The suite was nice. It was a one bedroom but no door to make it a private space. Its bathroom had a motion sensor on the light which I didn't like. I don't need a bright light shining at me in the middle of the night but there's no option to turn it off. The breakfast was mediocre. If driving, there's several spots in front to drop off luggage. The hotel itself doesn't have valet and only limited parking spots, so we parked across the street at a parking garage for $30 a day, which seemed reasonble. Overall the experience was good.

Paid extra money for a high floor with a city view as advertised in the pictures of the rooms. Got to my room and the view was the complete opposite of what was shown on the website. Checking in, the hotel’s parking garage was full which I would have wished they would have been more clear that a spot needs to be reserved despite already having a reservation for the same night.

Room was nice and clean, and friendly staff. I would say beds seemed small though (double not queen?) so trickier if sharing with someone. Rooms are smaller as well but that’s typical in SF. Great location for concert at Oracle Park- so close and easy to walk around. Parking was pricey though ($120 a night) and on site was full so we had to park at another spot nearby. Though it felt safe.

Location is A+, glad to see not so many homeless around. On Christmas eve & Christmas day should have top service workers, not lady in front desk. Rude, and uneducated staff does not represent Hyatt Staff.

With the hotel going through a transition with the program they use, I was accidentally charge twice for my room. I was able to contact the hotel and have it be corrected. Alexis and Genevieve both were amazing in their professionalism with dealing with the issue. We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately they had no parking the first night then after the event they were $85 a day!!! The garage across the street was $30 ,Crowded and the girl at the front desk when we checked in was Rude.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Downtown San Francisco, right off 3rd Street, and had a very positive experience. The location is excellent—just steps away from Moscone Center, Yerba Buena Gardens, and within walking distance to Union Square and the Embarcadero. It’s a perfect spot for both business and leisure travelers who want to be in the heart of the city. The hotel itself feels modern and welcoming. The lobby is spacious, stylish, and gives a great first impression. My room was clean, updated, and comfortable with a great city view. The bed and linens were high quality, and I appreciated the large windows that brought in a lot of natural light. The amenities were strong as well. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the on-site dining options were convenient with good food and coffee. Staff service was consistently professional—friendly at check-in, quick to answer questions, and helpful with directions around the city. Like most downtown San Francisco hotels, parking is limited and on the pricier side, but given the central location, that’s expected. Overall, I’d recommend this Hyatt to anyone visiting San Francisco who wants a reliable, upscale hotel in a prime location.

We love this location - within walking distance to Chase Center and super close to Muni lines. This area also feels safer than most. The Hyatt staff is so friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It’s the perfect place to stay if coming to SF for a Warriors or Giants game or even just to visit the city.

Bummer that breakfast costs $14 now. No reason to stay here over the Luma or others close by when the price is practically the same. The free breakfast was always a huge plus for us.

My only complaint is the breakfast was very mediocre for the price and there was no room service. The 24 hour Taco Bell across the street made up for it though.

Wonderful stay at this hotel! It is well-located, just in front of the Oracle stadium. It is very clean and the breakfast buffet offered a reasonable set of options. Finally, the staff was very courteous and accommodating.
