Stayed 3 nights

The initial observation was that Room 904 and 804, emitted an unpleasant odor reminiscent of old carpeting or a similar substance. Upon opening the curtain in room 904, I discovered the presence of mold, which was quite alarming. Due to my disability and the presence of my son/dog, I was reluctant to stay. Consequently, I was accommodated in a comparable room, 804. Unfortunately, the air conditioning units in both rooms were non-operational, room 804 was warmer. Overall, the staff demonstrated kindness, with the exception of two individuals. One staff member witnessed my fall, despite my disability, and merely walked past without offering assistance. The other staff member appeared to question my identity. When I requested a Band-Aid at the front desk, I was not asked to file a report or answer follow-up questions, nor was I provided with a first aid kit. Conversely, the lady at the bar downstairs was very courteous, as were some of the housekeepers, including an older Asian gentleman, and a security guard. Regrettably, due to the persistent smell and presence of mold, I do not foresee a future stay at this hotel.

Good stay. Older hotel with some charm. Elevator took an extremely long time and there was not a lot of room in it so we had to wait a couple of rounds to get in.

This is a beautiful hotel inside, however the beauty and charm fades as soon as you get a lay of the land. This hotel is hovering next to the Tenderloin district which unfortunately has a severe case of rampant drug use and homelessness. Seeing the streets littered with people whose entire living is day to day is heartbreaking. We did find some amazing food spots all within a few blocks such as Milano Pizza and David's Delicatessan. The food and service were delicious. The outside of the property has security guards and they keep it clean and inviting. A fun feature was ringing the golden bell at check in which results in free champagne or apple cider. Sadly there were issues such as delayed service of ice and trash collection. The second elevator was down and the only one working was slow and small in capacity. The rooms are clean, comfortable and inviting. Bring earbuds, since you may hear a fair share of ambulance and fire trucks especially in this area. Highly recommend the sour dough French toast. No pool. Nice workout area, lots of great machines.
