A really well located hotel for doing tourist things in SF and all the staff were fine. Some of the hotel is starting to show its age, and our room had a bit of a musty smell although appeared to be well cleaned. The pool wasn’t heated nearly enough to combat the windy days we were there, which was a shame. Given it’s billed as a family friendly place, it would’ve been nice to be provided with access to pool toys etc. I was disappointed by their use of disposable cups and water bottles instead of providing glassware and refillable bottles.

This hotel had a good location and the room had most amenities you would expect. The shower, however, was pretty grimy, with lots of black mould and the pressure was pretty bad too. Our room was on the same level as the pool, which meant we had to keep our cutains closed at all times, as anyone at the pool would've had a full view inside our room. The pool didnt look particilatly inviting, not at all like the official pictures, so we didn't use it. Overall this hotel served its purpose, but I feel it was overpriced for the quality and wouldn't choose it again.

A good place to base yourself to explore San Francisco, bonus that the hotel hire out bikes free of charge, had a great time cycling over the Golden Gate on them.

This hotel was a disappointment when it came to amenities and parking. Very stingy with in room amenities. The biggest issue was the lack of transparency on the cost of overnight parking in the garage connected to the hotel. First, the hotel should offer free parking for guests, with an option to pay for valet parking. They only offer valet which was inconvenient because the nearby pay pots did not offer overnight parking. The sign for valet shows $75.00 + tax per night. What the sign didn't show, and nor did the staff advise, there is a $35.00 destination fee added along with other taxes. One night of parking was $126.00 which is outrageous. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco.

Excellent place to stay. Location, cleanliness, and helpful courteous staff and service. The Brick and Beam, restaurant on site has outstanding breakfast and dinner. Especially in the morning the servers were wonderful. I would definitely stay again.

Pool closed all day until 5pm. Hot tub being demoed. No coffee maker or frig in rooms. Charged $30 extra to check in early when the room was clean & sitting open. Room was clean & beds were comfortable. Convenient location. Friendly staff

Overall I felt that hotel was average due to the cleanliness of the property. Immediately walking into my room an odor reminiscent of cat urine hit me in the face which instantly downgraded my entire experience. I will say that the staff were very friendly and the "Marketplace" where you could buy food/drinks was adequate however there were not many food options beyond candy and chips.

Didn’t have a great experience our room was dirty and had I don’t even know what was on the bed. We got checked into another room and it was fine but the toilet ran all night and a maintenance man took an hour and a half to fix it. Makes me think the cleanness of the hotel wasn’t ideal.

Our room was right over the hotel's underground garage exhaust fan. Every 30 or so minutes we'd here the exhaust fan come on for about 10 minutes, night and day. Their older windows could not dampen the sound.

I reserved a room with a city view. Arrived for check in and was told there was scaffolding up and construction would only happen weekdays. Got to my room and could barely see out the window and had to keep the blinds closed as the construction workers were out there on Sunday and Monday. Construction was so loud it forced me to check out earlier than I wanted to. Staff was wonderful, but disappointed in construction noises. Would have been nice to know of the noise/view restrictions before booking.

The pictures online are very misleading. My room was run down and old. The water pressure was awful and I could barely rinse out my hair. I had a co-worker stay with me in this hotel on the same floor and she had a better room, so maybe I just got a crappy room. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant food was no good, my calamari was soggy and gross. The server we had was quite rude as well. I have stayed at other Hyatt Centric's in the past and been very please, but this one needs an overhaul. I will not be staying here again.

I paid extra for a city view, and when I opened the curtains, I was facing a brick wall and trees. To see anything, you had to go in the corner of the window and turn sideways to see the limited city view. I went to speak with them at the front desk, and was referred to someone else, the manager maybe? I do not recall his name, but he was very tall with dark hair. His attitude while dealing with me was very condescending. He said the area has changed over the years, though none of the building around the area were new. He also said the pics I showed him of my promised view were not from their website, as I booked through hotels.com. I checked the hotel’s website, and it’s the exact same pictures. He said he had one other city view room that was worse than the room they originally gave me. The rest of the staff were great, but this man’s condescending attitude left a bad taste, and I will never stay at this hotel again. I will go out of my way to not book another Hyatt hotel because of him.

The hotel itself was nice, the surrounding area was decent, and the valet parking was nice. However, my husband and I could barley sleep from how uncomfortable their bed was. Specially the pillows, very flat, uncomfortable. You can also hear when your neighbors talk loud or play loud music, or even flush the toilet. Very thin walls.

Shower pressure was poor and the drains smelt while showering. The sound proofing was very bad. Next doors phone alarm went off at 6am and woke both of us up. Not sure if this was made worse as we were given and interconnecting room.

Amazing customer service! Housekeeping was incredibly friendly. Gentleman at the valet never failed to give us a warm greeting and smile. Really appreciated the early check- in. I stayed at The Fairmont for half my trip, and the service here was better.

The room assigned to me was a queen accessible room although I had a king booked. The lady at reception was not friendly and helpful and told me they have only so many king rooms and because I used a third party app to book the room, I got down graded to make room for their reward members. The room I got is a cheaper room than what I booked and did not get any refund for it. The room had no view and felt like you’re tucked away in a corner of the hotel. Super disappointed.

Staff was not as helpful as other hotels I’ve stayed at have been, for example I asked for an earlier check in and they just said no instead of trying to accommodate. I did not feel welcomed, they did not even greet us, it was straight off the bat you can’t check in. CHECK IN WAS AT 4 pm, that’s insane. We were jet lagged and no kindness was shown.

There was a plumbing issue and the double room I booked for my family was not available. We got a single King had to ask multiple times for a cot and bedding. My other daughter had to sleep on a small, hard couch. We were offered a generous refund on the first night and then were charged anyways. I was eventually able to get the refund as promised. Can of soda was $4.50 at the front desk. Pool area looks nothing like photo. 4 star prices, not service. I won’t stay in a Hyatt again.

I arrived at 3:00 PM, aware that check-in wasn’t until 4:00 PM. I was told I’d receive a text when my room was ready. The text never came, and by 4:30 PM I approached the front desk, only to be told the room was now ready. When checking out, I asked for a valet receipt and saw a $255 charge—far too high for two days of parking. The staff said they “assumed” I had two cars. No apology was offered, though they did credit my card. Between the lack of communication, delayed check-in, and billing error, I would not trust staying here again.

Started off horrible, arrived at 4pm for check in and room was not ready they had me sit in lobby until 6pm when they finally had a room ready. Continued to try to make the best of the weekend, house keeping was great so was valet. But due to friday it made me late to a wedding event and killed the weekend for me

It’s walkable to so many sights in San Francisco. Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, the sea lions at the Pier, Exploratorium, great shopping and the trolleys and more! You can see the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge, and the water too.

I came to San Francisco with my adult son to explore the city on foot. The location was ideal for walking to the Pier, Lombard Street, Ghiradelli Square, and more. The room was clean and all the workers were pleasant. We were happy with our stay.

My brother and I had a GREAT time there. Walkable to to main piers and boardwalk. A block away from the trolley system. Recommend you get the $13 per person all day pass for the "Muni" system. Unlimited rides (rather than $8 per person per trip). Trust me. 😉

Staff at the front counter are rude, unwelcoming and not friendly at all. When we checked in they were not happy or welcoming of paying guests. They never explained the hotels amenities or services or where we could go for breaks/dinner. There is no room service and I even had to go and get my own breakfast bowl and spoon in the morning as no one would bring it to my room. Poor service for such an expensive room per night.

Loved the location! Close to so much, including the trolley stop. Room was the perfect set up with 1 King and 1 Double. The buffet is a rip off. Don’t get it. $32 a person but you could order a whole meal for way less and no way you could eat $32 worth of food on the buffet. Nice service though. Everyone was very nice.

The host was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. He told us what was close by how to get on the trains. It was lovely. The lobby was wonderful clean. We enjoyed wine and food at the connected restaurant and the room was very relaxing and clean. Great location close to everything. Very nice
