I would rate this hotel a solid 7/10. On the pros: staff are very courteous and helpful; bed was comfortable with soft cotton sheets and duvet; location is great. On the cons: room just did not feel cozy, instead somewhat cramped with inadequate lighting; in-room features could be improved, eg. there was no fan in the bathroom and no espresso maker or genuine ceramics in-room; on the pool deck, the hot tub is lukewarm without an outdoor shower for patrons, which therefore didn't feel hygienic. We requested robes which, once requested, arrived quickly and felt soft, but it would have been much nicer to find them in the room. One of the escalators was broken during our stay, but staff helped with our bags. Overall the staff is excellent but the hotel itself is in need of better ambience and an update. It was serviceable for our needs, but from the room to the pool deck to the lobby, not somewhere we wanted to relax and linger.

Loved the location. Comfortable beds and housekeeping were a highlight. A+. Cute bathroom and room design, although cramped. Negatives: Rooms are small but it seems standard for SF. No coffee?! That should be a standard in the lobby. Customer service needs some improvement: we waited an hour for towels at the pool because they didn’t restock and had to request multiple times. Unacceptable. We had an electric vehicle and they provide charging but during our 4 night stay it was near impossible to get it on the charger (there is only one!?). Extremely frustrating and misleading. We finally got valet to charge it for a little 30-50 mile bump, but it wasn’t sufficient and we had to charge elsewhere. We also had to beg and plead to get it on the charger but there were always 5+ vehicles ahead of us. They need to add several more chargers. Terrible service wise. Elevators were also a HUGE issue as all were broken except one. It created massive lines and wait times. I’m not sure we would book this hotel again until these issues are remedied.

The shower had hair in it. They had cups to drink from in the bathroom eeeww and the cups were dirty. The toilet had pubic hair on it and poop stains in it. The hallway to our room had an awful odor. The website description showed an ocean view and a view of the city we just had a view of a building. It also said complimentary breakfast and that was shut down for some reason. The hot tub was small and not hot at all the pool was freezing. They are way over priced They should charge for a motel 6 price.
