Staff was great. Hotel unique. Many walkable areas with restaurants all around . Fillmore and J Town close by . $14 cab to pier 39. They also have shuttle service to pier 39 and Golden Gate park in the morning but book the day before. Good breakfast included.

We were pleased with our 3 night stay at the Queen Anne Hotel. The Victorian decor is elaborate and full of beautiful pieces. The old, antique furniture and detailed decor made this quite the cute environment. There was a slight musty/old smell, but it really wasn't too bad. The windows are able to open and they're was a nice fresh cool breeze when we visited in July. They have a small parking lot across the street from the hotel. We were a little worried about car safety, but everything was fine. One perk that we really appreciated was a complimentary car service in the morning that could drop you off within downtown. We utilized it twice during our stay.

This was a very unique Victorian hotel, my daughter and I enjoyed the room, the breakfast, and all the Christmas decorations. It was very convenient to Japan town. The staff was very friendly and I loved that there’s parking available.

This Hotel was very convenient to where we needed to go in San Francisco. They served a decent continental breakfast and coffee, tea, and water was always available in the lobby area. They also have a computer with a printer available for customer use.

Lovely setting. Room quiet and comfortable bed. Small trouble with cold water handle, but otherwise room was perfect. Used complimentary driver to go out in the city. Will be coming again!

The lobby was great. The cookies and sherry were fun. Breakfast was very good. The decor is over-the-top Victorian in a good way. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff is great. They have a driver that can drop you off at the Fisherman’s Wharf

Everything was period correct, from the furniture, the paintings, draperies, etc. We especially liked the sherry and biscuits served starting at 4 PM. The breakfast buffet was fine with the usual offerings. Staff was very courteous. The hotel bordered on Japantown and we found a wonderful 10 seat udon restaurant less than a block away. Unfortunately, we didn’t see the ghost.

This is a unique Bed & Breakfast. It is an older property and furnishings are very Victorian. Full breakfast served daily from 7:30 to 9:30 and coffee, tea and lemon water always available in the lobby, a big plus. 24/7 desk with helpful, friendly staff. Ideal for this quirky solo traveler.

I have stayed at this property several times and have always been in love with it. I never had a problem until this visit. They had bedbugs! And not a minor infection, but a bad one. For paying over $500 for two nights, I expect better. When I informed the staff, I got only a “sorry”. Any hotel with an infestation should offer a full refund, or taken one night off minimum! I now have to go to great lengths to ensure my house does not become infested. Extremely disappointed.

This hotel is utterly deplorable! It’s old, filthy, and reeks of an absolutely vile odor! The moment we stepped into the room, it was clear we couldn’t possibly stay the night. We arrived around midnight, and despite knowing how challenging it would be to find another hotel at that hour, we couldn’t bear to remain in this revolting place. To be specific: dust blankets everything undisturbed, the furniture is grimy, the carpet is disgusting, the wallpaper is marred with white stains, and worst of all, the bedding is yellowed, worn, and covered in pilling. The only redeeming quality is the friendly staff and a somewhat decent-looking lobby on the first floor. However, you’re not sleeping in the lobby. As soon as you take the elevator or stairs, you’re hit with the shabbiest hotel decor and a nauseating smell. The odor is noticeable even in the lobby, though it’s less intense there. Staying in this hotel is simply not worth it!

Found rat running by the breakfast area on the floor and cockroach on the bed....

Reasonable price. Neat & clean. Coffee & tea water were not hot. The place smells of mold/mildew.

Very cute decor and theme, love the history of the hotel. Always nice to have free breakfast, and I like to sherry wine and cookie hour. I saw a mouse in the dining room. There were some hairs in the bathtub when I showered, and I don't know if/when my comforter had ever been washed.

Do not stay here. Spent one night here in the King suite with Jacuzzi. Woke up the next morning COVERED in bed bug bites. Even emailed with pictured evidence and was still denied a refund. Also the hotel phones were “out” when we tried to contact the staff. The hotel is pretty old and apparently so is their sanitary standards.

The bathroom had black mold. Some of the areas in the room were dusty.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Can't ask for anything more.

Lovely boutique hotel. It was pretty warm and there is no AC so the room felt a little warm. There was a fan which helped. We have stayed here several times and this was the only time we felt the room was too warm.

We loved our large corner room (214) because it was sunny and quite spacious even with two (very comfy) beds, thanks mainly to the 11-foot ceilings and the 5-windowed anteroom overlooking both Sutter and Octavia Streets. It provided a very nice sitting area for morning coffee or a sunset glass of wine. The ultra-Victorian decor was well done, and was both practical & fanciful. What a nice change of pace from typical modern hotel room decor! The antique wardrobe closet was a bit small, as was the modern bathroom, but both were fully adequate. The front desk staff were top-notch and welcoming. Beyond the entry lobby of the hotel is an expansive & beautifully-appointed pair of sitting rooms: old-fashioned, elegant and inviting parlors in which to socialize or just relax in front of one of the 2 or 3 fireplaces. Breakfast is served in another lovely, large room, and there's also some outdoor seating for when it's warm enough. The breakfast buffet is good, meaning adequate, but fresh-cooked eggs would sure be a welcome upgrade to only hard-boiled eggs and, imo, please substitute crisp bacon instead of mediocre & greasy sausage patties. We opted to go out for breakfast on two of our three mornings since SF has so many excellent delicious morning eateries. But the hotel buffet is just fine and SO convenient if you want to get a jump on the day. Given its lovely ambience, central location, and reasonable pricing, the Queen Anne is our go-to hotel in San Francisco.

Rug in room showed wear, bathroom floor was slanted and shower head was at neck level and outlets were in unusually high places in the bathroom. These oddities are part on staying in an old refinished Victorian home. The breakfast was typical of a stay at a motel chain. The location is excellent and bed was comfortable.

We loved our stay at Queen Anne's! The hotel's ambiance is fabulous! We enjoyed the sherry and cookies from 4:00 to 6:00 each day. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful! Our only issue was the pullout bed/couch was not very comfortable. We did get a rollaway bed at no extra charge. Thank you!

Really nice hotel with a throwback to old Victorian style. Felt right at home. If I had to make one note, it’s that the room was quite warm and we had to open the windows to a noisy street to cool it overnight. Otherwise it was wonderful.

The atmosphere and service were both fantastic. We were treated so well and appreciate the warmth of the staff. Two issues of feedback: the beds in our room were very soft and uneven, and the sink faucets need to be replaced. The hotel is so fun but the beds did make sleeping a challenge.

The hotel was beautiful and easy to find with easily assessable parking. The rooms are not air conditioned but you do get a fan and the windows open. We had zero hot water and that was a drag. The beds are very soft so we both woke up with sore backs. I much prefer a firmer mattress. The continental breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Our stay wasn't bad but I would look for a different place if I come back to the area.

Cannot beat the ambience. Staff members were very friendly. Decor absolutely lovely. It shows its age in other ways. Would not recommend using the pullout couch as second bed. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast fair instead of bed and breakfast but not offensive. Would stay again.

Vintage vibe. Spacious room with high ceilings. Elevator. Proximal parking. Parking spot available on Sutter for check in. Breafast included more than usual continental breakfast.

Breakfast was quite good; could be small like a continental breakfast or full with sausage, egg, fruit, as well as carb heavy processed choices. Walking distance to Japan Town and Fillmore street, and it felt safe to walk. Only minor issue was a heater that tripped a fuse, but very quick service and resolved within 15 minutes. Kudos to the very helpful and friendly staff at the front desk and with service and in the dining room.

I stayed here twice now and the staff has been extra courteous and very helpful. I recommend this place walking distance from Japantown.

The hotel property is beautiful and accommodations are clean and comfortable. Breakfast food was fresh and great variety. And the best part of our stay was the customer service. John at the desk took great care of us, answering questions by phone before we got there, and helping us with luggage and questions once we arrived. We will be back. And I would highly recommend!

Amazing decor! Beds were more comfortable than we expected. Micheal was there to greet us for check-in....what an amazing human being! Give that man raise! Everytime we ran into Micheal during our stay he was the most friendly,attentive and informative person. More than happy to help with ANYTHING.

I had requested complimentary card service a day before which came with VIP status. Morning person forgot to arrange with driver, and we were left without last minute. Front desk gave us some petty cash for taxi but unfortunately was not enough to cover the fare. Not good.

I had a stellar time in SF and this hotel played a great role! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location in Japantown and walking distance to Pacific Heights and the Marina, this is the perfect hotel for a solo traveller. The area is very calm and safe and the hotel amenities aren't lacking of anything. Finally the Victorian decor as well as the stunning living room let's you travel within your imagination of what SF was in those times.

My favourite place to stay in San Francisco. Quiet spot of a cute neighbourhood and close to public transport and great dinning. The staff are friendly and open to accomodating of an early check in or late check out if possible. This is always greatly appreciated as an international traveller. Would highly recommend this hotel

Fantastic location in Pacific Heights and easy to utilise San Francisco’s bus network to get around if you like. Staff are very friendly and accommodated an early check in for us when we had landed in the morning from Australia which was greatly appreciated. Would recommend this hotel

We really enjoyed staying at the Queen Anne. The building has interesting history, and the interior is beautiful and fascinating to see. The lobby is large, welcoming, and very comfortable. The people who work here are very friendly and helpful, and our rooms were amazing, especially for the price. We went to a show at the Fillmore, which is a short walk away, and we spent the next day in Japantown, which is even closer. There is a lovely park up the hill from the hotel also, and lots of beautiful homes in the area. Great, safe neighborhood for walking. We will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I always stay here when we visit san francisco. Its a beautiful hotel in a great part of town. We are excited every time we stay here. Definitely will be back.

Loved our stay here! The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. They had a beautiful hotel lobby area that was literally like a victorian living room, and they had complementary sherry and cookies every evening from 4 to 6. I thought that was lovely! It was very quiet there also, unusual for a city hotel. Right on the edge of Japan town so there were so many great restaurants to eat at. Will definitely stay again! Oh and the breakfast was fantastic! Lots of choices.

This is a wonderful gem of Victorian history. The staff were friendly and from the cookies and beverages in the foyer and cozy rooms it was all I had hoped for. Loved the binder with the history. My room was quiet and had a nice view. Enjoyed waking up to a small flock of parakets on the tree outside my window. Close to Japan Town, so lots of nearby food options. Would definitely stay again! My only 2 minor gripes were I wish there would have been a kettle or coffee pot in the room. They did provide hot water and coffee, but sometimes it's nice to have a cup before getting dressed. The breakfast was underwhelming, the egg had been over-boiled to the point the yolk was grayish & the croissant was stale. I wasn't expecting anything gourmet, but most of the options were close to inedible. So yeah, even though the dining area itself was nice I would probably just skip it, other than grabbing the fruit. Though maybe I just got unlucky.

Staff was amazing. Room was clean. The windows rattled a bit during the bad weather. In the morning, the sausage and coffee was a bit cold, muffins were fresh and good.
