Orchard Garden Hotel

It was exactly as advertised — upscale and basic. No frills, very pretty and well maintained.

Simply a lovely property. Great location to explore Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square or the Financial district on foot. The bed was super comfy and the room was very quiet. We requested an upper floor and they happily accommodated us. Great stay!

Great breakfast. Very clean hotel

Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and very quiet -- we barely heard any noise from other guests. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is in a great location to get to many different parts of San Francisco easily; one entrance to Chinatown is at the end of the block, and Union Square is only a few blocks south. It was also very easy to get to the BART on foot with luggage. Many good dining options within a short walk. The only downside is that our room had a barn door on the bathroom; these provide no privacy whatsoever. But it seems to be a trend in hotels rather than a quirk of this property. Despite the barn door, we would stay at the Orchard Garden again.

Room was clean and staff was very friendly and attentive.
