Aida Plaza Hotel offers an old-fashioned, budget stay in a central Market Street location near transit, but multiple reviews warn the surrounding Tenderloin blocks are rough, noisy at night, and can feel unsafe.

Its quaint for how old the property is. It could use some updates for sure. The rooms are very small compared to newer establishments so be mindful of the age of the building. If you want friends or family to have easy access to your hotel, that will not be as easy - the front door is locked so the hotel staff must unlock the door for you and your people.

Well.....this hotel is very old and has nothing other than a bed and a shower. 3 rooms before I got a TV that worked. Outside is very seedy and I had to ask a neighboring business where the place was. In the absolute worst part of San Francisco. No parking so I parked in a seedy lot around the corner and walked with my roller bag in and out of a couple of hundred people all wacked out on drugs and who knows what else. Absolutely not a safe place to stay!
