Apple Farm Inn is a cute, traditional inn located within easy reach of San Luis Obispo shops and restaurants. Our room was spacious, good air con, nice bathroom, fridge etc, wine tasting was included in our stay both days which was great and they provide freshly baked cookies each day. There’s a tram which takes you into the town centre on certain days and the farmers market on Thursday was fab. The pool area is small and could do with more sun loungers but that’s our only criticism. We loved Apple Farm!

This is a cute motel. There is a fireplace in the room, which is nice and the room felt a little more homey than your typical roadside motel. The room was clean but there was a stain on the ceiling and everything looked a little dated. There is a pool, but it is very basic. I am giving it three stars overall because I feel like the price point is pretty high for what you get, and they charged a $30 resort fee (which seems exorbitant for this type of property.)

The on-site coffee shop was very convenient and the breakfast was good. It’s nice that they offer coffee and tea in the lobby, cookies upon check-in, and a pool. But they also charge a $25 “amenities fee.“ We didn’t use the pool. Is it fair to charge everyone the fee? Slightly annoying.

I wish they had a complimentary hot breakfast like some of the other surrounding hotels offer. They do have complimentary fresh baked cookies when you check in and always offer coffee /tea in the lobby. They currently offer a continental breakfast only. They have a refrigerator in the room but no microwave. It’s an excellent place to stay.

Have stayed at The Apple Farm Inn a few times. Comfortable and charming Inn. Very reasonably priced. However unable to connect to wifi on either stay. Very weak signal in the rooms. Disappointed the restaurant is currently closed for renovations. Also noted a wad of hair on the shower floor. May have just been an oversite by housekeeping.

I’ve stayed at the Apple Farm a few times now and I’ve enjoyed it each time. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, the staff is friendly, and the rates are very reasonable. The bathrooms were large and I appreciated having the mini fridge. Having direct access from my room to the heated pool was cool even though I didn’t utilize it. I enjoyed the cookies at check in and daily wine tastings and hot apple cider in the lobby. Unfortunately, room 100, directly under the lobby, is incredibly noisy. The elevator is very loud and you can hear every step that anyone takes in the lobby. Despite using a noise maker to try to drown out the sound, I woke up each morning around 4am and 5am to people stomping across the lobby and the elevator running. I would stay at the Apple Farm again, but I would avoid room 100 next time.

Stayed in one of the motel style rooms. It was pretty cramped. It was listed as a king with pullout sofa. If you pulled out the sofa, it butted up against the king bed... requiring you to climb over the beds in order to move around the room. I would not stay there again if traveling with a 3rd person/child.

Pros: decent room, friendly staff, restaurant, nice property Cons: loud AC, stiff doors, non-working outlets. Seems dated, basically. I still recommend this place as it is cute and the breakfast at the restaurant on site cannot be beat. Be sure and try the afternoon hot cider in the lobby (somebody give me this recipe!)

Lacking a warm welcome at reception. She barely looked up and told me she would be with me in a moment when she was running a transaction. When I was addressed she asked my name and asked for my credit card to pay taxes when I already had online through the motels pre-check in email. She stated she could not see this and acted like it was my misunderstanding. She eventually stopped to listen and understood what I was telling her. No customer service at all. Not impressed after a long day of driving to get here.

Staff at front desk fantastic especially the younger girl. Not a fan of no bed made or trash removed or towels unless you go get the towels for a 3 night stay!! TERRIBLE idea on your part. I bet you loose customers over that. Appreciated and loved the lobby coffee and cookies.

The check in now is automated via an iPad… lots of technical bugs, and not every one can do computer stuff…. The staff is barely trained, and they do not look happy. It feels like a self checkout at a Walmart! Terrible! Also, unless you request housekeeping,they do not clean your room!! Usually it’s nicer, easier, staff a bit more friendly, and the rooms I’ve had before have been bigger, with lots more space for everything… this one is tiny with barely any space. No coffee, tea, microwave or anything except w glasses. It’s really gone downhill, which is sad… oh and a resort fee??’? It is NOT a resort! It’s looking more like a Motel6 I. Terms of service and quality. Very sad….

The property is very nice but the staff is horrific. The lady at the desk is not personable and the manager hides behind the wall. Calling the front desk for service requires an email because no one is at the front desk. Called for assistance and 30 minutes passed with no one showed. I had to walk to the front desk to get service.

We came to the area for a wedding that started at 3:00. When I checked in online earlier that day I asked if we could get an early check in so we could dress for the wedding after a 4.5 hour drive. When we arrived, the person at the front desk insisted that check in was at 4pm and refused to even check to see if there were any rooms that were ready. We travel a lot, and I’ve never encountered a hotel that wouldn’t at least TRY to accommodate early check in. We left and checked in to another hotel across the street. I would never stay at Apple Farm due to the poor customer service.

When checking in the there was only one person at the desk and the person they were helping had some issues and before you knew it, the check in line was out the door. The customer being helped had issues with there room assignments yet they made theres online prior to check in so it was frustrating she was holding up the line. I was with kids that were tired and just wanted to get my room key. A gentleman ended up coming to tne front and started helping me but i waited about 10 minutes and the people behind me even longer and it was approximately 430pm so maybe a busy time anyway but one person at the front desk was sort of ridiculous. Other than that the place was beautiful and our stay was great!

Always enjoyable staying at Apple Farm. We were in a Trellis Court room which is very convenient for getting in and out. The room was a little small compared to newer hotels but for one night it was very nice and the location of the hotel is great if you have business at Cal Poly as we did. Our only dissapointment was finding out that the restaurant is no longer open for lunch or dinner.

I like that the property is right off the freeway, but it doesn\'t feel like it. It does feel older and our fire sprinkler in our room leaked during the rain. The restaurant is awesome! I would definitely recommend it, just know you\'re staying at more of an "older boutique" hotel rather than a nice, new hotel.

The Apple Farm was so nice and a very comfortable place. The Apple Farm Restaurant had the best food I’ve had in some time. Should have stayed longer. Nice staff at the hotel and the Apple Farm Restaurant Staff was great along with the food. Best breakfast ever.

The farm is nice but they didn’t gave us any information at the entrance. The restaurant is closed but the complementary breakfast doesn’t make sense. Only 2 options of yogurt, apple and muffins. They offered us cookies in the afternoon, why not on breakfast?

Nice stay except for the fact that the restaurant on the property was only open for breakfast. The front desk said they haven't returned to regular hours since COVID. I find it very strange that they haven't found a way after all this time to staff their Inn.
