San Luis Creek Lodge

The bed was very comfortable, room is extremely clean and the decor and toiletries are perfect. The coffee and scones each morning were delicious and a great added touch. Parking is free and convenient. The front desk staff is great, Logan went above and beyond making our stay very special. Can’t wait to stay here again.

No elevators, not great for older adults with mobility difficulties. The only full body mirror inside the closet and the closet door is self-closing… No coffee machine. The refrigerator does not cool -not great if you need to store wine or medication. No on-site gym. Scant information given at check in (like the little rope inside the room that helps keep the bathroom door open to let the steam out -the exhaust fan doesn’t work that well, is actually the “do not disturb” sign.

Stairs were not indicated when we reserved our night. No elevator. Over priced. Clean and attractive but not convenient

Fabulous location, wonderful and clean room. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast brought to our room in the morning with fresh roasted coffee and local pastries. Little touches that go a long way like free bikes to borrow, the breakfast and a bag with caramels upon leaving. We would def stay again!!!

Not enough parking places otherwise a good place to stay

What a great stay! Great location for Cal Poly. The rooms are super comfy - the staff were helpful - the spot is small and charming. Breakfast was left on our door - the fireplace was a nice touch - next time we”ll use the bikes for sure. We will definitely be back.

Believe the hype, this place is great. The room was spacious and comfortable and Aesop toiletries! Parking was easy and the location is walkable to downtown. Just stay here.

Beautiful room and decor - amazing small touches like delivering coffee and pastries in the morning, leaving a great note for mindful meditation, and a departing gift of sweets. Only thing missing was a pool but other than that, a perfect place to stay. Thank you to all the kind and helpful staff!

If you can’t do stairs too well, let them know ahead of time. We were put in a room where you have to climb a flight of stairs, with your luggage. We are seniors and my husband has mobility issues, so this wasn’t ideal.

I do not see how this hotel had high reviews. I have stayed at way nicer hotels for wayyyy cheaper. We were in a room all the way in the back and it was dirty on the stairs leading to the room. Then in the room #23 a horrible dirty smell when we walked in (we had to spray perfume) to cold to open windows. Then it looked like blood or nail polish on the tv stand and in the shower. Sinks and toilet were clean. The beds were comfy with all the pillows was nice. It was a VIP hotel and so i assumed the coffee and pastries were free but i guess not because i got charged $20. I will say coffee was ok but pastries were amazing! So i wasnt too upset that i was charged because front desk did not mention it was not free. Parking was a little annoying but doable. So all in all for this place to not even have a pool it was way over priced for a sunday/Monday.

Our room was clean, with nice water pressure, and luxurious bathroom amenities. The front desk staff was friendly, and I appreciated the convenience of text-based communication. One of the loveliest touches was the morning delivery of a thermos of coffee and pastries hung on our door. Unfortunately, we didn’t know this was part of the experience and only discovered it as we were leaving. Had we known, we would’ve enjoyed it more leisurely. Where they fell short: A laundry cart remained outside our room during our entire stay, which detracted from the overall presentation. The room was dark, even in the afternoon. Though our room overlooked the SLO creek, there was no balcony or seating area to enjoy the view. Indeed there was no comfortable place to relax other than the bed, which made it hard to unwind. There was an ice machine, but no accessible water source. When we asked at the front desk, we were directed to a local mini mart. A water dispenser in the lobby or near the ice machine would have helped. Ultimately the biggest dealbreaker was the noise. I could hear every footstep from the room above and every conversation outside. Unfortunately, that lack of sound insulation made restful sleep impossible.

I used to really enjoy staying here but it’s no longer well managed. Each of the three days I stayed here I was locked out of my room after the room keys quit working. Then, one day I spilled some water on the floor, only to discover that the floors in both the room and bathroom were filthy (the towel I used to wipe up the water was black afterwards). San Luis has a lot of hotel options available, there’s really no excuse for what I experienced at the San Luis Creek Lodge.

Hotel was cute; newly renovated. Staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast coffee and pastries brought to your door every morning was a nice touch. Only complaint…they need to upgrade the smart TVs in the room.

This Bed & Breakfast is quite lovely. As soon as I entered my room, the mood was set for me. The lighting was perfect ... and they had jazz music playing. Pretty impressive! I had the fireplace room was it excellent. It was probably the best sleep I've had in awhile. The rooms are sound-proofed so it's extremely quiet. The bathroom had a large shower with the perfect amount of pressure. For breakfast, they place a cut bag on your door with fresh scones and a thermos of coffee. There are a lot of small touches that for a long way. The bikes out front are adorable and accessible. The only negatives I will point out are: 1. While the rooms are soundproofed, if you have someone above you ... you will hear them walking or dropping things. My first night was bliss. The second night I was awaken by walking from those above me. 2. No help with luggage. While I am perfectly capable of carrying my own baggage, it is hard to carry a suitcase up a slight of stairs let alone two flights. I think a quick remedy would be asking the guests if they need help. It would be hard for someone who's older or handicapped.

Loved the glow up and the decor and coffee and such was lovely! The AC didn’t adjust and get as cool as I feel comfortable/as I set it to, and so that impacted my sleep. That is not good. Check in took three attempts to the office and back to get key card to work and let us in - front desk was very helpful and make a maintenance note. Loved the windows annd the fact that they opened in my room!! Overall, very cute, friendly, and love the morning coffee touch!

From the warm welcome from Sean to our thoughtful departure treat, our stay felt perfectly arranged. My daughter and I experienced pure tranquility in our room with a simple elegance that relaxed our senses and provided exactly what we needed to calm our souls.

Everything was excellent. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.

Need to start off by saying this hotel needs to give their front desk agent a raise :) I believe his name is Bryce, anywho way to go on the amazing customer service!! He was SO attentive and answered all questions and gave us helpful tips that we ended up using while we were visiting the area. Room was clean, modern furnishings, breakfast comes in a tote bag that is hung on the outside of your doorknob. Location is super quiet and feels very safe. Appreciated not having to go through any lobby to get to our room after a long night out, just park up next to your room and you have a private entrance. We will definitely be back again- Thanks for everything!

Great place to stay in SLO. Third time staying here and will be back again. Pleasing and accomodating and very responsive staff. Rooms are clean with a upscale hipster LA vibe with the decor, Aesop bath products and Erewhon snacks available in the room for purchase. Safe location and free parking and bike rental is a plus. Try a king bed room with fireplace. It has a fantastic woodsy view out to the creek. The double bed fireplace room looks out to the parking lot and lobby. Let’s say a not so woodsy view but still nice. The complimentary scones and coffee for breakfast was pleasant as well. Overall a wonderful stay.

Room rates are totally misleading, Everything is a uncharge. parking, wifi, TV etc. and shouldn't be. Never stated all of this was in the amenities package. also very Loud. Next to a apt building or something. Constant water dripping or maybe from the neighbor room. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone. Very disappointed and staff is very young. The girl who did the check out was very rude.

The boutique property was perfect. It was clean, decorated beautifully, in safe location and the staff was excellent, especially Brice who was extremely kind, helpful and personable. I will stay again on my next visit!

We have a new favorite hotel in San Luis Obispo. Great, cozy group of , 25 units off the main road. Clean, updated, private and very well appointed. And the scones and coffee in the morning were a real treat.

Nice property very close to campus. Rooms were very nice with a large bathroom and walk in shower. Beds were very large and comfy. In room fireplace but we did not use it. It could use a small table for some counter space but nice place overall. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and anything else we needed. Check in and out was a breeze. We walked to downtown area but it is a long walk.

Loved the room decor, and vibe. When I walked in the door, soothing jazz music was playing. In the morning, a tote bag with a thermos of coffee and a few pastries were on the doorknob. Checking in and out was greeted by friendly staff. Quiet and clean...

Lovely large room with super comfy bed. Would have preferred a true continental breakfast rather than just a couple of meh pastries delivered at 7am. Coffee was good! Love the overall decor of this property! We highly recommend!

This is a smaller hotel, our room had two queen beds and it was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was dropped off in a tote bag at 7:30 by our door with muffins, croissants, and a thermos of coffee. I think I would like to have maybe some fruit or yogurt instead of more pastries since one muffin was plenty.
