SureStay Hotel by Best Western Seaside Monterey

This was a good budget friendly hotel. The room and bathroom were clean. The neighborhood felt safe and it was centrally located. My only concern was that the beds were pretty uncomfortable. My son’s and my back were both pretty sore each morning and while it was better than the floor it was still pretty rough. Plus due to the hardwood floors you could hear every movement from those in the room above.

No pool or hot tub, some "hot jets" in some rooms.

Check-in staff member seemed like they hated their job, knowing we had multiple rooms they put us far apart, window screen was broken & several other guests said “don’t let people see you have kids, this is a bad area”, entire place just felt dirty, the eggs & milk were sitting out on the counter late at night during the check-in. Overall, it worked for a quick night rest on our trip, but not somewhere I would recommend to others.

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The AC unit was extremely noisy and the window coverings did not adequetly block out the light at night.
