After 7 hours of drive in snow storm it was a great pleasure to stay at this great place. Front desk associate Marley H. was great and very helpful with any questions that we had, explained everything clearly and very polite. Great resort with outside spa and heated pool. 24 h fitness center and steam room. On site restaurant. Walkable distance to shops, casinos, and restaurants.

This was a nice hotel however we had a very very long walk from our room to the elevator and one night the elevators were down. We also had to pay for valet every night & there were no other parking options aside from valet . The room was large & had a washer & dryer which came in handy .

This property is in a great location. Close to shops and restaurants, one block from casinos. Right next to the Heavenly gondola. Loved the heated outdoor pool and four hot tubs. Room was ok, bed was hard and uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed which was more comfortable than the bed, that says something. One of the elevators was broken and at one point both were broken. Had to use the stairs, good thing I was on the second floor. Charged $2.50 for coffee in the lobby. Should be complimentary in my opinion. I received a good deal on this hotel but probably won't stay there at regular price.

UNDER RENOVATION...We have always enjoyed staying at this Marriott property due to the location. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find that the lobby was closed due to renovation. I don't remember seeing this in any of the pre-arrival communication. There was a temporary lobby set-up, but you had to walk around the entire perimeter of the property with all of your stuff to get there. The valet didn't help us and when we got to the entrance there was a locked gate and we had to wait for five minutes for another guest to walk by and open it. In addition, the kids area which both my kids love was closed and there was limited programming (all outside by the pool in the cold). Staff all together didn't seem as happy or cheerful as normal. It was a rather disappointing stay. I would wait to book until they are finished with renovations.

It’s the perfect location to enjoy all that South Lake Tahoe has to offer. You can walk to many places to eat, shop and ride the gondola. The service is incredible! We enjoyed the large pool and there are four hot tubs! The room are well equipped to heat up food in the microwave and keep snacks in the fridge. Love this hotel!!

The shower pressure was miserable. Also, we could only get extremely cold or very, very hot water in the shower (nothing in between). That was not fun. It also took nearly an hour for them to retrieve our car from valet. $35 for valet and we had to wait an HOUR.

Has staff gotten lazy?? This is our second time staying at this location. We returned because our first extras really pleasant but this time was not the best. We arrived at 4:00 to check in, staff advised us that our room was not ready yet and it would be about a “20 minute wait “ so we waited, and waited. Went back up to front desk and asked if our room was ready and front desk clerk told us “actually it’s about an hour wait”. I was so upset because we just spent a few hours on the road to get here and expected our room to be ready upon arrival. That was a huge set back! Then we finally get to our room and the room was not the cleanest some areas where dusty and some of the cabinets where still dirty. I get in the shower I pull back the curtain and there is what looks like someone else’s boogers on the shower curtain. Do they not wash the curtains and replace them after each guest checks out!!?? Apparently NOT! It was so gross!! The dish washer was also dirty and had crumbs inside of it ! We waited an extra hour and our room wasn’t even to standards?? Will not be staying here again. We are leaving our trip completely unsatisfied with this place.

We reserved a 2 bedroom villa and we’re assigned the Sierra building, directly above Fire and Ice. It was large but quite old. The kind of old that comes with a smell and dirt that can’t be removed from cracks and crevices. Hotel desperately needs a remodel. We had a nice view from our room and loved being able to walk and enjoy Heavenly Village.

The stay was amazing as the room was better than expected and comfort even more so. The only complaint was valet parking was poor service as we had to remind staff every time (we were there 4 days) to please input our car into the system as the staff prior continued to “forget” to do. This was only a problem due to us not being able to send for our car 15 minutes before needing to leave (as it usually took 15 or more minutes to get our car every time). So we would have to go down to valet, request our vehicle in person and then wait (average time was about 15 to 20 minutes) for them to bring it to us. This resulted in us being late to dinner our first evening there. Aside from that the stay in the actual hotel was great and we would absolutely return in the future!

There is zero leadership at this property. They are using text and robot when you call for anything. Called and texted for towels and coffee. Never came. I went to front desk and made the request, never came. Maid service every other day. By far the worst Marriott experience of my life.

The property as a whole is great for location. The main problem we had was with some staff and management upon arrival. The room wasn’t ready for an hour and 1/2 after checking in. The attitude of the front desk manager and the person working the desk was beyond rude. When we finally got in the TV didn’t work. We were told it was being repaired however that was a lie. When we went back to the desk to report it not working we were told they would have to get the engineer team to come out. The manager would not give us an answer about whether or not we would have a TV. We asked for another room and were told that would not happen. This manager was very rude and not apologetic at all for any inconvenience. All of this would have been avoided and made better if he could have been a bit nicer and the employee would have been more respectful and professional. This property caterers to owners and if you are just a regular guest you are just past over.

The hotel is Great. Perfect location. What really sets it apart is the staff. They are Amazing….Particularly Jayme. She gave me some Legendary recommendations for food. Local Mom and Pop shops. I appreciate that because I’m a small business owner myself (Ice Cream Stores) and love supporting local businesses. I say give her a raise 👍

We had a nice villa with a kitchen. My issue is with the service. I’ve never stayed in a hotel with worse service. No daily cleaning. Rude and unfriendly woman at check-in. You can’t get anyone on the phone if you have a question. You have to text and wait for a response. It’s just not a service-oriented hotel.

Great location, walking distance to restaurants, shopping and casinos. The room was clean and we didn’t hear any noise. They offer lots of activities every day if you’re into those types of things. The only cons were they don’t have room service and we were there for 5 days and they only offered one complimentary room cleaning. If you need clean towels in addition to that cleaning they charge you $10.

Great location. Everything you need is right here for your stay. Fire and Ice restaurant is fresh and excellent, with lots of menu choices. The casino is a 5 min easy walk and the gondola was steps from our room. Rooms are absolutely beautiful with comfortable beds and tastefully decorated. A+ for the whole trip. Thank you for a very nice trip!

We came here for our honeymoon and it was everything and more that we hoped it would be! Absolutely beautiful, can walk to anything, lots of shops and dining options. Great service at the hotel and nicely kept rooms. We stayed in a the one bedroom w the fireplace by the pool and loved it! Definately will be coming back!

I gave it a three stars because it is not really a hotel, but a residence type of set up. That means there was really no hospitality services like house cleaning or refilling of any items. It was a little confusing when you tried to call down you got an automated response. Everything in that Marriott area closed at 9 and they have no food options or even a bar. Probably good for families that turn in early.

The bed was very hard and definitely not comfortable. Also the pillows were cheap and less than comfortable too. Also the restaurant was only open for lunch and dinner.
