The location of this hotel is awesome -- a 2 min walk to the gondola (and you can see the gondolas running above you from your room), and walking distance to the main drag on Lake Tahoe Blvd, with access to great restaurants and other conveniences. The staff is super helpful and friendly. We had some maintenance issues with our initial room, and they were promptly dealt with. The grounds, the rooms, bathrooms, bedding, floors and other items in the rooms are kept very clean as well. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is the aging structure, furniture and cabinetry. Despite the cleanliness, we could not avoid noticing how dated the rooms were. As mentioned above we had to call maintenance a couple times (a clogged sink, and a leaky toilet), the walls were quite thin, and the floor boards creaked and were uneven in lots of places. If you are staying in a downstairs unit, you should expect to hear muffled conversations and creaky floor boards of your upstairs neighbors too. All the bedroom and bathroom doors in our unit were either misaligned or "sticking" as well. We only stayed three nights, so they were not deal breakers in the grand scheme of things, but they did detract from the overall experience.

It’s big, and seemed clean enough. But somewhat run down. Staff was amazing. Maybe for a bigger family it would be nice.
