Overall this is a really nice place. We liked the location because it had a view of the lake and there were restaurants within walking distance. The room was nice and clean and quiet. The balconies in the area where we stayed were not very private which wasn’t the greatest. The only other issue I had was the pool loungers were absolutely unusable. They were so stretched out you were just laying on metal bars. It was a real bummer.

Great location right across from the Lake. The elevator is still broken, though that was not an issue for us since we were on the second floor, but it could be if we were less mobile. That is something that should be disclosed prior to purchase since I read of the same issue prior to booking in reviews. Other than that, no complaints. The room was clean, very quiet and the bed was super comfortable. Will stay here again for sure.

Everything was great except the hot tub. We were looking forward to the hot tub. I have a bad back and was very disappointed that the hot tub was down for repair. The front desk staff said that they will be giving me a discount on my room. This gesture will be well received.

It was not very clean. The fan in our room made a call we couldn’t turn it off without the room getting boiling hot. I asked the front desk to fix it and they said they would it never happened :-( Housekeepers very loud in front of our door. Talking yelling in the hallway and taking the washing that were supposed to be for the guest.

I have stayed here before and seemed fine but the property is worn out. I noticed the carpet in my room looked worn but when I spilled water and blotted it up with the white wash cloth it was filthy-brown. Truly unsanitary. I e-mailed the property twice and got no response. staff at the front desk were great but I would not stay there again unless they remove the filthy carpet

We stayed at Hotel Azure for a second time and we had a nice experience. I did not love that our room was so close to the highway - lots of noise - but the lake view was amazing. We were right next to a newer restaurant, Element, that has live music that was loud enough that we didn't need to play our own music - I guess this could be good or bad. We didn't mind it, though. Thankfully the sliding glass door and black out curtains really minimized the highway noise. We will go back but I would definitely request a room further back on the property.

I paid the price of a five star hotel for a mediocre hotel stay. The walls are too thin and I could hear the next door guests clearly. I could not sleep due to that and traffic noise. The air conditioning was noisy too. Vending machines were not working and weren’t stocked at all. The location is good since it’s across the lake but i had selected a lake view room and got a partial lake view. I Felt robbed after paying $300+ per night for such a mediocre hotel

Love the central location of this hotel in South Lake Tahoe. Large room and very comfortable king bed. “Lake view” is partial given some obstructing trees along with partial sunset views. Two separate sinks very convenient for getting ready in the morning. Short easy walks to multiple restaurants and grocery store. Friendly, responsive staff. Smooth check-in. Ice machine only on ground floor. A/C is slow to cool - must set to a very low temperature to have cooler air blowing. We stayed mid-July 225 and it was warm (up to 87F). Nice-looking pool and spa but pretty small. We did not use either during our stay. Prepare to pay more for restaurant food and gas here in general. Some road noise despite recessed location.

We rented a Lake View room. This is misleading. The room had a partial lake view at best. A large meeting center building is located in the parking lot. Between the room and the lake. Most of the view, from the second floor, is of this structure. No one should be charged a full lake view price for this room.

Very nice hotel and staff. Great views and location to a lot of things in South Lake Tahoe. Dog friendly and easy access to outdoor areas. The pool/ spa area was nice, I appreciate the split level spa so you don’t have to feel awkwardly crammed in with others. Very quiet, the sliding doors are amazingly sound proof. Only complaint was the beds/ pillows. It was like sleeping on a rock, and very difficult to get a good nights sleep. Might be just my family’s opinion, but we definitely all felt the restless repercussions into the next day.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The interior of the rooms have been renovated. The exterior is a little older, but maintained well. The location is literally across the street from Lake Tahoe! I enjoyed watching the sun set and seeing a beautiful twilight!

We had stayed here last year and had a good experience, but after this trip will not be back. It was an unusually warm weekend for February and when we checked in our room temp was 80 degrees. It did not cool down despite setting the temp on the thermostat as low as it could go. The next day we brought this up with the front desk and they sent a maintenance person to look into it. He was very kind and said everything seemed to be working as expected and to leave the fan on to cool the room down. Unfortunately the second night was the same thing. A could hours after closing the door and leaving the fan on it was back up to 78 degrees. When we checked out and brought this up to the front desk the explanation was that this is just how the system works and that if we wanted the room cooler we should have left the door open all night. This is not a realistic solution for a room overlooking the highway. As an added bonus everything we put in the fridge froze solid overnight. After 2 nights of no sleep we’re happy to be leaving Hotel Azire behind.

The front desk staff was not very nice. Not hospitable at all and appeared to hate their jobs. I had an issue with the first room them gave me because it smelled like smoke and requested another room. I went back out to front desk where they already had assigned me another room on the first floor. I requested a room on a second or third floor due to safety issues and they just rudely stated thats all we have. I called multiple times to front desk requesting for WiFi password because it was not given to me on second room. The phone in the room was not working. It seemed like every time I called someone on the other end would hang up. I had to call from my cell phone to get password. Person on other end gave password and hung up. No attempt to fix phone or make sure I was Ok

First impressions are important. Someone has invested a lot of money in this property only to come up short on the final product. This is an older but recently updated multi building hotel just across from Lake Tahoe. The location is amazing. The first experience you will have is in the understaffed registration building which has has zero renovation and is completely unwelcoming. When we checked in the small area was full of people trying to register with only one staff member available. The process is slowed by having to fill out physical paperwork with multiple initials and signatures like its 1985. The staff member was kind and friendly but overwhelmed. Our room was large, clean and nicely appointed, but is already starting to show wear and lacked attention to detail. This place has tremendous potential and a great location but is right on the edge failure and success. Bottom Line: I would not suggest that you should avoid this hotel, but I would suggest you tamp down your expectations. The online photos are heavily filtered.

After booking on Expedia, the manager refused to honor our paid reservation. We had called and spoke with staff multiple times to coordinate a delayed arrival from burning man, which had lots of travel difficulties. We were assured repeatedly on the phone that a room would be ready for us when we arrived in the morning, but the manager refused to release a room to us and was unnecessarily rude. The front desk ladies were nice, but the manager was unnecessarily adversarial and in fact dishonest. He told us there were no rooms available to release to us, and then I watched a woman walk in the door and book a room as a walk-in minutes later. Why not be honest and nice to your customers??

Reception desk showed us warm welcome and explained the guide kindly. Room was well set up and very clean. I enjoyed staying and would come again. Lake Tahoeis located just in front of the hotel, so very easy to walk along with the lake.

My navigation kinda got me to the wrong spot initially but then figured out where the office was (a bit hard to discern in the dark). Large spacious room, waking distance to restaurants and the lake is right there. I’d stay here again next time in south lake. Library next door had a free charger available for electric cars.

We liked the fact that there was no housekeeping at all. If we needed something we just had to ask the front desk. Pool and hot tub were nice! We did not visit the bowling area. Room had ac, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and lotion, frig, coffee maker. The restaurant next door “Elements” had excellent food and gave us a discount.

What you see on the pictures and when arrive are completely different things. This hotel is way outdated outside, somewhat updated inside, with dark interior. Parking lot need a lot of love, and is likely muddy in a rainy day. However the staff is friendly and mantenance waiting time is zero, you git somebody to your room before you get back from the lobby. No breakfast on site, with no good alternative around. This place doesn't worth paying $400 per night!
