We stayed 4th of July & honestly can’t complain, room was as cleaned as can be , having a jacuzzi tub in the room was awesome, mini fridge/ microwave available. Not bad at all . Only thing I would suggest is assigned parking!! But other than that it was great

This place is in urgent need of a renovation. The curtains needed replacing about 20 years ago. The front porch is full of ash trays and sketchy people hanging out who most likely live there. There was no chair or table to sit in the room. The pool looks as it was drained and collecting junk for a decade. The staff was friendly. The housekeeper was more than helpful and brought needed pillows and towels quickly.

Very pleased with the room's makeover. Though The Trailhead is pet-friendly, there was no smell. The TV was HD. While there is a huge jacuzzi, it could not be filled up enough to cover the jets before the hot water ran out. I suggest removing the jacuzzi and instead have a kitchenette in that space, there is plenty of room and would seal the deal for further stays. The staff were very helpful.

Amazing, loved the spa!

The place is old, its unsafe. It really needs a full inspection by health and building inspectors. The place was clean, the girl working the desk was good. It was clean. 2nd floor, going up the stairs, there a 10 or 20 ton jack holding up the 2nd floor cat walk, so if an earthquake came and moved it ud be stuck. The bed, spring type, hard not good ., bathroom no CURTAIN, WHEN ITS LIGHT OUSIDE SAME INSIDE. The bathroom floor is really soft in the underlayment, theres gotta be holes in it. The shower, use at your own risk. Set the temp, but beware of someone else turning the water on in another room or somewhere. Itll be nice, THEN SCALDING HOT. I MEAN HOT. there is no swimming pool and appears to havent worked for some time. Its a cheap hotel. And is as such

It was perfect for our stay. We just came for the night to see a comedy show and the price was right! We had a huge hot tub and even brought the dog! Check-in was simple, room was clean, bed was big and comfy!

Property looks very old they even have a hydraulic jack holding the stairs porch and there is a big whole in the pool like someone crashed into it from the street. Property is dirty with a strong smell of dog pee, specially at reception.

Pretty basic room, although at nearly $200 per night one might expect more. The room key was in a lockbox and self-service. It was a bit noisy with room facing the busy roadway, only separated by the parking lot. Television wouldn't stay on. Kept losing signal and I finally gave up on it. When I stayed at the Tahoe Sands a few hundred yards away the next night, the tv worked fine. Shower had little flow and was lukewarm. I'd have been better off camping near a real trailhead.

Our room is really dirty the bathroom still has poop in it when we checked in. Not safe specially with kids. Terrible place to stay

this place has a terrible cleanness, the only thing that it did look clean where the towels and the garbage that had new bags, after looking inside the room I try to geet another room at some other place, but I wasn't able to find one, so I had no choice, lucky brought my own blanket and pillow, I could not take a shower, the stand up shower was so nasty I could not stand bare feet on it, find some place else to stay definitely, not here.

The room for the price was ok. There was chipped paint all over the carpet from the bathroom to the closet side. The nightstand was sticky and dirty. The bathroom floor was not swept, by the bathroom window it was dusty and the window was hard to open. We also found a big hardware nail on the carpet next to one of the beds.

The room was dirty when we arrived, hair was on the AC and on the toilet. The carpet was not vacuumed it was dirty and the bathroom floor needed to be sweeped up but it was not. There were blood stains on the mattress cover. We notified the office of the condition of the room and the next day supposedly house keeping cleaned the room. Looks like the only thing they did was remove the piece of hair on the AC but everything else remained the same. According to the lady in the office house keeping cleans every day but we didn’t notice anything being cleaned. They never emptied our trash or fixed the bed if that is still a thing. The only pros were that it is in a good location and it was quiet at night so we were able to sleep. We paid too much for what we got.

Dirty and old

The property wasn’t so bad but the smell inside the room. It was horrible window on the bathroom won’t even shut close TV wasn’t working carpet smell like wet dog.

Room dirty, entire building needs upgrade. Squeaky floors, needs new paint, king bed not stable and not good for 2 people. marijuana odor in room. When i didnt smell it smelled like a dog. Cannot close bathroom door. Pool empty yet pictire is full. Sink has no stopper plug. There are people living here also. Will not return to this property

Mold in the shower. Ventilation fan not working. Transients living there. Very small room.

Our room smelled bad, the comforter was dirty and all surfaces had not been wiped down in a while.

The floor is creeky, bed a bit bouncy, the shower is very small and the toilet is extremely close to the wall. The TV is tiny. it's an older hotel that can use updates for sure. never needed any staff help. you get into the room with a lock box an text. There were items by the stairs that looked to be junk, but not sure what it was. The balcony seemed a bit slanted. It was clean.

Ok. Amenities match the low prices aka you get what you pay for. TV was non functional. No electrical outlets to charge devices.

Small showers, good bed.

Room was not updated. Had old 70's shag that was stained. Comforters were dirty. There was no one around to switch room. Left after just 1 night.

Very outdated, curtain too small for window, no hot water for showers.

Large room, clean

The room smelling weed all the time. There are NO Smoking signs on rooms doors but people are smoking weed and cigarettes anyway. The carpet was stinky and shower was so small i barely fit in it. Wifi kept dropping alaso

Staff was extremely helpful and very nice. The property itself was old and run down. The floor was creaky. I felt bad for the people below us. we only needed the room to sleep and the bed was comfortable.

The staff really went above and beyond to be helpful. They let me leave my car for several days while I was backpacking and they were very kind and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was quiet and it’s an easy walk to shops and restaurants. If you’re looking for a 5 star luxury resort, this isn’t it but if you need a comfortable, inexpensive place while in S. Tahoe this is a great spot.

My dad has bad knees and couldn’t walk up the stairs. They switched us to a room on the bottom floor as soon as it was available.

Staff left early and I could not get a whole of them. The T.V. in the room didn't work. The A/C was very loud. Just not a great place to stay.

This hotel was exactly what me and my ladies needed with the cabin vibe for an affordable price during this crazy summer season. The staff made it the best stay with their high energy, helpful demeanor, and very friendly attitudes. They were awesome to say the least! Amy at the front desk was outstanding & amazingly friendly, Julian in maintenance was so sweet and helpful, and everyone there was so cool to talk to. We had a small electrical issue and they did all they could to fix it and make us comfortable. This may not be a 5 star hotel but they treat everyone live a 5 star guest! They are literally a 5 minute walk from Heavenly, the shops, food, movie theater, and even the ski lift! I loved and appreciated our stay here. Thank you for all the hospitality!

Really terrible experience here. Customer service is rude, they never pick up their phone. Extremely disorganised, took my card at the check in, then a few days later sent me a text that they will sue me and give my info to collection if I don’t provide payment method. Then immediately charged me on the card they already took. One night on the New Year’s eve and the next day, we had no water and no light. They didn’t even provide customers with any water. We couldn’t use the bathroom even. No one is ever at the front desk to ask for extra towels or anything else. Just extremely terrible hotel. Never ever again I’m coming back here. I wish I read the reviews better before I booked.

This was a trip on New Years Eve weekend. I wanted my wife and I to have a nice time in Lake Tahoe, so I booked a room at this Hotel for two nights. As we drove up, parked and walked to the hotel, it was nothing friendly or inviting at all. I had to speak to someone I couldn\'t even see... through, a two way mirror like whole in the glass. It felt like some sort of shady , seedy like motel you see in the movies, that you\'d take a prostitute to, or to do a drug deal. I\'m not kidding. Their were red flags everywhere. As the lady verified our reservations, we had to get our key to our room, through a combination lock on our door, no card key access keys like a normal hotel. Again, very shady like way to get your key. Our trouble began, on our second day there around 5pm Sat. We heard a loud "BOOM" as our power went completely out!! No T.V! No water! No heat! There were no telephones in the rooms to call room service, or at least talk to someone. No one at the front desk either to help us, or at least to explain. The night was a freezing cold dark room! This was our New Years Eve experience at the Trailhead Hotel. Completely and totally awful. The next morning on Sunday,check out time, still no power, No one to speak to at the so called, front desk,, there was no one in sight, no customer service whatsoever, with a closed lobby,( which was a tiny strange like room) . We spent two hours shoveling snow to get our car out, so we can leave this God forsaken place. BEWARE

Location and price were great but there were other visitors and guests on the property who made the facility as a whole feel unsafe. The pool is not in working condition so if that matters, this place doesn’t have a pool. It’s walkable to the touristy shops and across the street from the bath path. The property itself was decent but definitely at best motel quality.

A great property with walkable access to the Stateline amenities. The property served its purpose to accommodate a weekend ski trip to Heavenly.

It was a good location. The hotel is a bit older and not really kept up. The room was fairly clean and comfortable. Mostly it's an affordable room in a great location. We were able to walk to heavenly village and had an incredible dinner and a good weekend. The room was just a place to sleep. Recommend for people looking for a basic room at a good price.

This is a basic hotel room close to the casinos. The room and shower could have been cleaner. But it worked for the price.

This is a good, inexpensive option. It's only a short walk to Harveys and everything else in State line.

We stayed with 2 teen girls. The place was as described, check-in was easy and smooth after 5 pm via the lockbox. Nothing fancy, and a bit old - don't expect 5 star at the rate, great value for the price. Comfortable beds, clean room and bathroom. Had a microwave and fridge, room and bathroom was clean. Everything worked. The room had good heat, there was warm water. Great location for skiing (winter) lake (summer) and close to dining and stores. Would certainly stay again!.
