First off...the property is in THE BACK. There's a Sonesta in the front and I accidentally tried checking into that one and they kindly told me it was the property in the back. The property was clean. The view was GORGEOUS during sunrise! They have breakfast. They have a pool and hot tub....pool didn't have towels and could have been a tad cleaner..that is the ONLY negative that I could say. They guy at the counter and every other employee I encountered was nice and polite. I will definitely stay next time I'm in town.

We had a good stay. The hotel was located next to the bay with a great walking path. Our suite was nice and clean and looked recently renovated. Our room was directly next to the light rail tracks but it didn’t really bother us much. We arrived on a cold day so the outdoor heated pool was a plus. Pool and hot tub hours are from 10am-9pm. There is an outdoor fire pit as well as games such as cornhole, shuffleboard (but missing the disc) and a tic-tac-toe table. My son enjoyed the pool as well as the games. This is a very kid friendly hotel. Breakfast was good. The hot options on this day was scrambled eggs, crumbled sausage and potatoes. We enjoyed the pancake maker. Downfall is the parking fee of $16. FYI, there is a $250 holding fee. Overall, we had a great stay and will likely stay here again in the future.

Heaven forbid a vacuum be run in the room. I have pictures of clumps of long black hairs that were all over the floors, long red hairs all over the toilet, a bent up wire hanger in the top of the dishwasher, and NEW towels (straight from the front desk) covered in other people’s hairs!! No emails received regarding construction/remodeling, and dirty dishes in the drawers. Shame, because we were ok with the hotel being a little older. I can say we would’ve loved, LOVED, our stay had the room been clean….

The suite was very dirty, it had old toothpicks from prior guests. The stove looked like it had never been cleaned, and one of the pillow sheets had blood on it. I tried calling customer service but both phones in the room meant to call to the office, we out of service and did not work to call the front desk. Only stayed because we had no where else to go but will definitely not be coming back.

The hotel was dirty. The hallway was dirty. The room was dirty. There was pubic hairs in the bathroom floors. The bathtub was dirty. The hotel was very unkept. The pictures online were not the same as the actual hotel room. It was horrible. I would have rather slept in my car. I wish I could have been refunded for this day. This is the most horrible hotel that I’ve stayed in in years I would never recommend this property or go back to this property ever.

The man at the front desk was fabulous! The room was disappointing. In the bathroom, the bath mat was moldy and the towels were too small and worn thin from too much use. There was a black stain on the bedroom curtains. It was too expensive to have those problems

I’ve stayed here on 2 occasions before. This time was disappointing. My room wasn’t ready at 4pm, it obviously looks like they were short on staff because of all the remnants of checked out guests that were still in the hall when I checked in. The WiFi was weak and kept buffering. The view of the cove made up for my disappointment.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past, but this time it seemed like everything was broken or in need of maintenance. Our fridge was leaking, the toilet running everytime we flushed, the bathroom fan was ridiculously loud and the kitchen was poorly furnished with only two forks no pans and two pots. We did call to have the garbage disposal fixed during our stay and they did take care of it in a timely manner, but overall, the room felt like it needed some serious care. The room I was in this time 424 was very noisy with the train outside and the elevator next to it, I was definitely awakened by the noise. I do like the Oyster Point area though, its nice to walk on the path around the inlet.

The room had been refurbished at some point pretty recently. I wouldn't say it was to a high standard but you could see work had been done. The kitchen was ok for what I needed. It could have done with some more pots or a non stick frying pan. The bed was so comfy. It was what I needed for the three nights I was there. The staff were out of this world. They were helpful and understanding and I could even get a kettle (for British people this is considered essential). They were all lovely. There is very little right beside the hotel. A ten minute walk takes you to a Starbucks and a couple of small restaurants which close at 8pm. No supermarket nearby so I would consider a car essential for here.

The property was really great and the breakfast was really great too. The only thing that would not make me want to stay there again was the fact that there was never a manager on duty when you needed one and the front staff refused to call them when they could not assist you. They also did not offer daily cleaning and you had to go down to front desk if you needed extra towels or anything else.

Rooms were very clean. Not enough staff at all. Broken elevators. Had to rescue my son and other people from the other not broken elevator. No garbage in the bathroom, that was awkward. All staff was rude because they were all so harried and busy.

got to the hotel a bit early and needed to check in to be able to work and attend business meetings. However, their booking system was down and they were not willing to provide any type of alternative. This is terrible service to not know any type of work around for your computer not working to serve clients in the best way possible. I needed to rebook at another hotel.

I was hoping for early check-in but that was not an option. I called in advance and they said yes, but once we got there 2pm-ish . We had to wait until check in time: 4pm, and even then I still had to wait because the room was NOT ready! It frustrated me! We had somewhere to be, and it made us late! Besides that, everything else was good! Clean and quiet! Beds were comfortable! Breakfast was decent. The front desk can work on their customer service.

This property would absolutely not allow us for early check in, not even 20 min early... we came into town for a bday celebration, and called at noon, checked at 2pm, and again at 3, and again at 340pm, even then, they wouldn't budge. I've never stayed at a hotel that didn't work with you like that...finally, we got ready in hotel lobby and left with our suitcases and didn't check in until after, which was at 11pm. Also the bathroom was stained and tub dirty looking. It had a great view, but when check in is past 4pm, what's the point of staying when you can't enjoy? Tried to ask for supervisor/manager and were told, they were in a meeting, and would be out to speak to us in 20-30 min. Of course, management never came out to speak to us and we got tired of waiting and left.

The room we had was very nice. It was large enough and had all the facilities for with a stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The staff were the best, especially John! The only inconvenience was that there was no public transport close by but we were able to overcome this because the hotel provided a free shuttle to take us to the airport where we could hop on a bus or BART. We also got picked up by the shuttle when we returned from town.

I had a great stay at Sonesta suites. Oyster point is beautiful and a nice peaceful place to come back to after spending time in downtime San Francisco. The Ubers from sonesta suites to San Francisco are around $35-$40- really my only complaint but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Overall a great place to stay.

The room was fantastic. However, the hotel was under renovations which we were not alerted to before booking. This made it to where the breakfast was VERY VERY limited. For example, frozen waffles they toasted, oatmeal, a banana and hardboiled eggs. No juice or cereal or the full buffet we were expecting. This would have been okay, had we been alerted to it before booking. I would stay here again- again the room was perfect for us and the beds were very comfortable. But if booking soon, I recommend calling to check on what amenities are currently available and full due to construction.

Shuttle service a little slow at 11 pm, to be expected. Property is worn/threadbare but was clean. Solid breakfast. Quiet area. Would stay again.

Great! Stayed here for an event at the Cow Palace which is a 10 minute Uber ride away. Rooms are spacious with full kitchens. Continental breakfast has plenty of options. Will definitely stay here again for future events.

The front desk was friendly and efficient at check-in. Parking was easy, and we didn’t have to walk far to our room. But many parts of hotel are shabby, and our room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned: cabinets and dishes were dirty, there were food splatters on the walls, and bits of who-knows-what on the floors. There were missing utensils in our room’s kitchen. Our room also had a fruit fly infestation; we must have killed two dozen or more. Also, the entrance to hotel pool was covered with yellow caution tape - not that we were planning on swimming. On the positive side, the complimentary breakfast was fine, and the kitchen staff were very helpful. For our purposes - an overnight stay on the way to SFO - the airport was fine, but we’ll almost certainly pick another property next time.
