Parking spots are kind of small. The floor tiles in room are kind of loose. Beds are very comfortable. Very close to universal studios. Staff is very friendly. There’s a subway in 3 min walk nearby.

We needed a low cost hotel near Universal Studios to celebrate a birthday. This hotel was a great location to balance cost and proximity. The reception was a very polite, professional and efficient gentlemen. After a four block walk, we took a free shuttle to Universal Studios. Parking was a challenge late at night and early morning. We hardly could leave our room with big suitcases navigating between cars. There was a friendly homeless gentlemen out front of the hotel camped on the sidewalk. This is the new state of California, it's everywhere. Around the corner were some low end restaurants like Subway, Doughnuts, Pizza, etc. For the proximity, cost and service balance, I would recommend just for sleeping and visiting Universal Studios.

The hotel is technically walking distance from Universal, if you want an uphill walk to get there and I mean a steep uphill walk. Room was very small, not like what the pictures made it out to be. Very loud at night. Parking is pretty much non existent especially for a larger vehicle. We got blocked in on more than 1 occasion. Also no elevator for people who have rooms upstairs. Good for a couple with no kids.
