Hotel was way overpriced for what we got. No staff available 99% of the time. Had to drive a mile down the road to their other hotel, the nite inn, for any service. Parking lot was absolutely awful and way too small with a SUPER steep incline to get out. Hotel rooms were outdated, old, and not very clean. We saw mold on the window shutters and the showers were gross. The only positives were that the room had a microwave, mini fridge and the distance it was from universal studios. Not a great area, would not recommend.

This property was not staffed only there certain times. Parking was horrible very inconvenient to get in and out!! Street noise bad. Motel was not represented very well in Expedia. Overpriced for what it is. Would not stay there again.

This was a great budget hotel for our trip to universal studios! We would definitely stay again. Rooms were clean and in good condition, front desk staff was friendly, and there is free parking. After 7pm you have to check in at a different hotel but the staff at El Patio Inn make you very aware of that and where the hotel is. Great location for universal studios, there’s a bus stop a two minute walk away and it’s just 3 stops to the universal shuttle. Great hotel!

Great value and very convenient location to Universal Studios. The parking is tight, but very easy to exit through the alley. The beds were soft and the stuffed animals the kids brought were always ruched in waiting for us to return.

Parking is first come so if you are arriving late, there may not be a parking spot. I was told to park on the street outside of the property! The only spots outside were in the parking meter areas! The air conditioner inside also smelled musty when it was on. Overall it served it's purpose for a quick place to sleep before heading to universal studios.

No frills spot to sleep. The price is low and reflects the fact that you have to check in at the sister property about a mile away unless you arrive between 4-9pm. No ice machine, not much of anything on site. Rooms are dated, small and minimally furnished.

The motel it self is small but nice. Once you are in the room, it’s dirty and very noisy at night. Outside if you have suv or bigger car please stay away, you will take a long time to get in and out!! They don’t have anyone on site to help.

We enjoyed our stay - The hotel is old but the priece and location are great. bed and bathroom are all right - The a/c was an old model but it worked amazingly well. Good Amenities. Only bad thing was that bed sheets wasn't really clean I watched some hairs and doubt it was for washing.

I needed a cheaper place but this just wasn’t great. I guess you get what you pay for. It gave us a place to sleep and had the very basics. Bed was comfortable but the sofa bed had a sink to it. The room smelled of cheap cleaning supplies. Shower had mold in it. Parking was so tight and unaccommodating. I didn’t see bugs but assumed they were there somewhere. We had to check in late at night and had to drive up the road a mile to a sister inn to get checked in.

Black mould in the showers, dirty sheets greedy finger prints on the walls and being ground floor with sketchy neighbours made it feel extremely unsafe and would not budge when alerted about black mould and need to check out early. Would NOT recommend.

Mala experiencia . El check inn es en otro hotel que no fue donde se hizo la reserva. Ahí entregaron la llave y el hotel queda a 1 milla más lejos. Las sábanas con cabellos y eso me deja pensando de la higiene y los cuartos muy viejos. No tienen personal en la recepción. Es un número a marcar . No vuelvo a rentar ahí en mi vida. Mesay silla de plástico .baño azulejos rotos . Bad experience. The check in is in another hotel that was not where the reservation was made. There they handed over the key and the hotel is 1 mile further away. The sheets with hair and that leaves me thinking about hygiene and the very old rooms. They don't have staff at the reception. It's a number to dial. I don't rent there again in my life. Mesa and plastic chair. Broken tiles bathroom.

Took the family to Universal Studios and stayed 3 nights. This is an older facility so take that into account. If you're looking for a fairly clean room, a hot shower and a fairly comfortable bed to sleep on, and don't mind it being an older facility, then this is the place for you. It had 2 queen beds and a fold down couch so everyone was able to have plenty of room to sleep. Room is small but provides the necessities. Everything worked like the air conditioner, tv, mini fridge, microwave etc. The room was cleaned and beds made every day which was nice. It was only a few minutes from Universal Studios so I would say the value was good for the price.

I liked it there, I had everything I needed in my room. The fridge and microwave were super handy, the staff was nice and very accommodating and it was clean. There was room service every day and some of the cleaning staff made my bed as nicely as I have only experienced in higher-priced hotels (thanks again for that!). I felt safe there and found its location very convenient as I could walk to many places, including several shops and grocery stores. I found it a bit noisy towards the parking lot when it got busy, but I've often had that with higher priced hotels as well and it was otherwise perfectly fine and I slept well there. I'll definitely come back next time. :)

I liked that I had a room that was not connected to others but it was not comfortable. Small quarters, little furniture, blinds didn't block the lights on all night. The noise was ok if you turned on the loud air conditioner and portable fan/heater. Internet didn't work at all.

Check in was nice and easy. Other than that, it was not the best. We had a family room (two queens and a futon). Im glad we didnt need the futon, there wouldn't have been room to walk around; the room is very small. The worst - Worst part was that there was no hot water. None. My daughter and I showered at different times, and there was no hot water. The temperature did not change from Cold after 3 minites. The front desk is staffed from 9am to 9pm. We were not in our room during those times so we couldn't tell anyone. We checked out early at 9:15am and were going to tell them then, but there was no front desk person to talk to. I talked to a couple who also had no hot water. Maybe there was an issue they were unaware of and this was a fluke, but it was difficult to tell them. The beds were not comfy and the blankets were thin. In one area of the room there are glass blocks as a window that have no curtains or cover. If you need a dark room to sleep, this is not it. But really, all of that could have been overlooked if we had hot water.

But the man who checked us in was really nice and helpful. Overall the room wasn’t bad for the price and was close to universal studios.

On a scale of 5, I'd give it a 1. The rooms are very small. The shower drain clogged and water leaked from the bathroom to the bedroom. When I mentioned to Manager, he said it would be 2 hours before they get to it. Cleaning service did not come until about 6pm each day which was very inconvenient. There was inadequate space in the parking lot to maneuver my car when all spaces were taken. The freezer of the refrigerator was iced over. The office at the El Patio Inn was around 4-10, so getting a key involved going to a different location. Outlets protruded from the walls.

The front desk guy was courteous but when we came back the door key was not working, no one was at the front desk, I called the number and he asked us to go to another hotel 2 miles away to get another key. We were tired and upset with this since we had reserved for 2 days and 2 nights. I would never come back to this hotel and will probably not do reservations throughout Expedia again.

The smell of cleaning solution was over -powering, almost sickening. I had to unplug the refrigerator because it was so loud and kept me from sleeping. Other than that, it was fine. I had to check-in else where, which was inconvenient, but the clerk at the Nite Inn was very friendly.

This place COULD be a gem, but it is not. It’s cheaper for a reason, I suppose. Quite loud during the day (I think from the motor shop next door?) Homeless people camped right outside the rooms under the awning plants. No great!! Especially because there is NOT anyone in the office all hours.
