Holiday Inn Express Temecula by IHG

Lacking on routine maintenance. Door latches don’t actually lock the bathroom. Looks like it was never properly installed. Bathroom sink drains weren’t ever properly installed. Only one ice maker works to support a 3 story hotel.

This Hotel is dated and needs to be renovated. The tub needed to be replaced the pool is dirty and the Jacuzzi did not function. Not very good for the money. Do yourself a favor and book 5 mil3s up the freeway at the new H.I. Express.

Pool was not working, laundry was also not working and room was not serviced daily

Bed was lumpy, noisy room by hiway. Breakfast not that great. Staff not very friendly. Was clean. Pool was not open due to renovation but if I had known in advance, I would not have picked this hotel!! Please keep website updated!

We choice this hotel for the pool and spa. But it was not working. The room was nice, The bed was good. The brekfast was good . But we will not came back again on this trip because no pool and they still take a lot of money for a stay.

The pool is not working. Under construction. It doesnt say that on the website. The room key wasn't working as well. So we had to go to the front desk to get it fix. The back parking lot is full of construction containers

Check in and found out the pool is not working. Got into our room and the tv was inoperable. Called front desk who said they’d drop off a key to another room. They never came and I had to walk down to the lobby in my pajamas to grab the key. Next morning, spoke to the manager about my poor experience and was met with attitude and unwillingness to help. She said I should have looked on holiday inn website for the pool message. Cancelled the remainder of the trip here because it was a horrible experience. Would not recommend

Expedia didn’t show holiday inn didn’t have their pool available temperature was over 100 on my stay I wouldn’t have booked I was looking forward to be in the pool

Staff was nice enough. Issues with the property. The hot tub that they had on site was not working, there were no towels in the room when we arrived. Ask the stuff if they could bring towels they let us know that there was no housekeeping and was only able to give a floor mats to dry off. And I know that it was not their fault but then the power turned off for about an hour around 10:00. I will say the breakfast was not bad and the cinnamon rolls were delicious. The gym is also very very small and it was obvious that people had stolen the dumbbells, there were only five left on the rack

Very mixed feelings about my stay here. Older rooms/no frills, and some minor issues, but overall not… bad…? The good: Free close parking, quick and easy check in, friendly front desk staff, safe and convenient location, reasonable price (especially for a weekend). Comfortable and clean beds. Cold a/c. Shower was clean. Decent quality free breakfast. My kids thought the outside looked “like a castle” The not so good: The pool was closed for renovation. In August. In Temecula. Was bummed but my kids wouldn’t have been disappointed had that been mentioned when making reservation, or in my confirmation, or at check in. But nope. Headboard had name carved in it. Kids found a dirty t-shirt, hair tie, sharp nail, food wrapper, and several buttons on the floor in various places in the bedroom. Bathroom had random patches of peeling wallpaper covering… I’m not sure what. The puzzling: Made a reservation for 2 adults and 2 kids. There were 2 bath towels in the room. Had to bother housekeeping one day and the front desk the next for additional towels. Everyone was quick to help, but I kinda feel like they shouldn’t have had to? The furniture, elevator, tv, a/c, shower etc. were all older and a little beat up but worked just fine. All of the staff were extremely pleasant. Despite the fun surprises my kids found I felt like the rest of the room was clean-ish. Would I stay here again? Maybe. But I’d call and ask about the pool first. And check the floor before my kids do.

This hotel is very dirty. Has mold in the shower and in the ceiling. I do not recommend staying here.

Spending $85 a night I guess gets you this. I was immediately greeted with a roach in the elevator. Room was filthy, I should have taken more photos. Toilet was dirty still had someone else's hair on it. Splatters on the wall next to the toilet could for sure be wiped off. Splatters on the walls near the sink. The grossest thing for me was the greasy, caked up headboard on the bed and nightstands. Def need to train your cleaners. Pillows variety was good and are comfy, sheets were hard and scratchy. I had to go to homegoods to buy a throw blanket.

Unfortunately, we found a roach in the bathroom upon arrival and the door handle to exit the hotel room was not attached. There were a lot of men who appeared to be construction workers who used the side entrance to smoke. It would have been helpful if hotel staff had directed them away from the building doors so we didn't have to walk through the smoke each time we entered or exited the building.

Room was a little dirty and the bathroom ceiling can see it had mildew spots. I was not happy.

Easy check in. Room was clean , but dusty around ac unit and window ,stuffy smell Noisy bathroom fan Television was not working,Advised front desk , No one showed up to repair One outlet was not working Pillows were very flat Had to leave one day early, hotel refused to compensate me in any way , After Expedia was advised and approved it Will not stay there in the future Don’t recommend it at all

In our room we were not alone. There were a lot of cockroaches here. And a very dirty carpet. After meeting with cockroaches, everything else fades. No one answered my emails about it.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel felt safe and had an overall good environment. The room was clean overall, but you can tell there wasn't a lot of thorough and detail cleaning being done as there was a lot of dust, missing outlet plates etc. We had a very bad ant issue and when I went to the desk for help was given a can of Lysol spray. When we asked for housekeeping service with fresh towels, our room was not cleaned. The beds remained unmade, the bathroom was not cleaned, it looks like they took out the garbage, picked up our used towels and then left us with 1 towel, 1 bathmat and 1 washcloth. I had to go to the front desk to get more towels to accommodate our entire party.

Convenient location, good breakfast, clean room w free HBO. Only 4 stars since they don’t clean room daily, and we only had 3 bath towels for 2ppl, 2 night stay, also the housekeeper knocked on our door on check out day even with the SIGN hanging on the knob.

The girl at check in was not friendly at all. The front door glass was filthy. There was trash in several areas in parking lot. Hallwalls were hot and no air conditioning was on in common areas. Carpet was old looki g. Room had very odd scent-perhaps cleani g products- and very strong

This was such a huge disappointment. While the staff were pretty nice, I was assured the room given to me was quiet and no one above me. I was woken up by what sounded like bowling balls hitting the ceiling at 6am. The curtains do not close all the way and I had to use a hair clip for privacy, and if you want to use the heat/air/fan, it sits directly below the window, blowing the curtains open wider. I could see people walking in front of my window constantly. I had spotty if any Wi-Fi and the toilet wouldn’t always flush. I spent alot to stay here and ended up wishing I went elsewhere. Also the breakfast provided was not great, but free so can’t complain about that too much. The positives were the bed is comfortable👍

Room and area was clean. Breakfast was hot and plentyful with fresh fruit and many options. Only complaint is the bed was not comfortable for two. Sagging in the middle.

Everything was good including breakfast except my room location. Be sure not to take a room on the freeway side of the street. The traffic was loud all night and I got little sleep.

They had an excellent hot breakfast that varied each day. Free. Nice spacious room. Comfortable bed. 32 inch tv. Easy check in. Their internet was slow and essentially worthless. Not secure. Did not know maid does not come every day. Had dirty room with no clean towels after day one. Upon check in the hotel put a $100 hold on my credit card even though I went through Expedia for a better price.

The check in process was quick and the lady was friendly. The hotel is okay everything needs a little tlc to re do outdated things all over the place. The room was clean. The bathroom sink has big cracks in it. The bed was comfortable enough for me. I would say that this is more of a business friendly hotel no frills than a family hotel. Free parking is a plus. Tv is a bit small. Bonus points for a coffee maker microwave and fridge in the room. The room just needs a general re fresh on decor. The air conditioner is loud and so is the toilet when flushed. Ear plugs would be a good idea if you’re a light sleeper. You can walk to Wendy’s in n out burger or Arby’s easily from the hotel if you get hungry during your stay. The breakfast was very good and was one of the best I have had from a hotel in a long time. Bacon eggs oatmeal coffee pastries pancakes toast juice and fruit. A very nice breakfast sure to get your day started on a full tummy. The breakfast service lady was very nice and accommodating when things ran low be sure to tip her she’s working hard.

Noisy air conditioning in the rooms and rock hard beds made sleeping difficult.

Our first night was very unpleasant due to heavy freeway noise all night. The hotel is located along the freeway with no noise mediation from the freeway along the rear of the hotel. We were moved to a much better room on the front side of the building. Staff were very understanding and helpful during our room change.

The rooms facing the interstate are noisy 24/7. My wife had a sleepless night. Otherwise the hotel is clean, convenient, and reasonably priced. Ask for a room facing away from the highway.

From the moment we checked in, which Antonia was an absolute joy at the front desk. She made us feel welcome, even though we arrived early. Exceptional service.

The lights in the parking lot were all broken so it's very dark at night. We were told that it's been broken for 2 months and they don't know when they will be replaced. Also, there was a false fire alarm going off at 3 am one night we were there. And the front desk staff looked like they don't want to be there....urrrrrgggghhhh....

Check in 5/30 around 11:00 pm; 2 bath towels & 2 wash cloth in the bathroom. I Went to front desk,spoke to a female employee. I asked for 2 more bath towels bec there’s 4 of us (reservation was for 4 (2 minors and 2 adults ). Front desk employee said, there’s no employee in laundry, she had no towels to give, Laundry employee cones to work at 7:00 am. I said, I can then pick up the towels at 7:00 am? She said no- come at 7:30 am. May 31 Saturday) we left at around 7:30am,no one at front desk, I said “ hello”, I then saw her on the right side of the front desk (inner portion of office. She didn’t go to the front to speak to me, so I told her: I’m in Rm 210, I’m requesting for 4 bath towels & our room to be cleaned. I saw her taking notes(she seem to be writing) And I said “ thank you. No reply from her. That night, we got home around 11:00 pm. Our room was not cleaned & no towels. I met Ms Reed at elevator with a push cart w/towels for new guests. I explained what transpired ( as above narrative). We both went to the 2nd floor laundry room, that she has access w/ keys. Laundry arm was on the Same floor as our room 210. Ms Reed was only able to give us 2 towels, 2 wash cloth & a bed sheet to use as towel. Ms Reed said the employee was Emily and doesn’t know her last name. Pls review your cctv May 30 & 31, ti validate the incident. I am a valued customer & IHG valued member. I have never experienced this disrespect & total disregard for an excellent customer service.

During my stay, I noticed that the hotel appeared to be understaffed, which led to some delays during check-in, taking about 15 minutes. Additionally, there was an unusual odor in the rooms that could be improved upon. The laundry facilities were limited, with only two washers and one dryer available for the entire hotel, one of the washers was out of order, leaving my children's uniforms damp. Unfortunately, I had to re-dry them in the morning. Regarding breakfast the following day, it seemed that there was only one staff member handling cooking, which contributed to delays; the pancakes were not ready until close to 7:00 AM, despite the 6:30 AM start time. I found the quality of the food to be lacking, as it was often dry and undercooked. The juices did not have much flavor, and sadly, the coffee did not meet expectations either. Overall, the breakfast experience could use significant improvements. Given these challenges, I would likely consider other options for future stays.

When I arrived for check in at 3:30pm I waited for 10 minutes in lobby waiting to be helped. Once the staff acknowledged me I was told the room was not ready due to staffing issues. There was another couple ahead of me which were told the same thing. My wife and I were attending a wedding nearby and had planned on getting ready in our hotel room instead of at home (2 hours away) we were forced to get ready in the public restroom at the hotel because the rooms weren’t going to be ready in time for us. Not a good experience changing and doing hair etc inside a public restroom. Not a good experience.

Clean and comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Complimentary breakfast was very good.

Front staff made me feel like I was inconveniencing them for wanting to check in. Lots of passive aggressive treatment although we specified we were in town for a family wedding. Front of house staff was very quiet and nonsupportive. Hotel itself is old and has a misty smell but o it.

It was a quick drive to Old Town Temecula and 15 minutes to the Wine Country.

The hotel is great; centrally located, good breakfast and helpful and friendly staff. Our room was on the freeway side of the hotel so the freeway noise kept us from a good night’s sleep.

I like the area it’s near old town Temecula to the point you could get a cheap Uber if you wanted to or walk. Also it’s a nice area.

It was a bit noisy through the night from the adjacent freeway, but overall the accommodations were satisfactory.

Excellent location, near good restaurants, plenty of options. We needed a nice, quiet, convenient place to stay for a soccer game. Rooms are impecable, cozy, with a fridge and Microwave.
