The only complaint we have is of the pools cleanliness, it had a lot of dead bees inside and when we say a lot we mean A LOT. It also had what looked like dead mosquitoes and tree residue.

The vineyard was very nice, my most favorite part of my trip. What I did not like was that there was no ice machine near by. I had to walk a distance to get ice. The pool was not a good experience. It’s a small pool area, not enough seating. Most seating is for reserved parties which is not fair to me because I paid over $400 a night.

The check in was great, quick and friendly. There was dirt all over two pillowcases. possibly came off the overhead fan? they dealt with it quickly. The pool area ran out of towels every day. there were only 10-12 towels at 9am each day. odd. but overall the room was lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

South Coast was our second hotel on our 7-day babymoon exploring southern CA, and I have to say that this experience fell a couple rungs compared to the exquisite hotel experience we received a few days prior. First off, this is not a 4-star hotel compared to the 4-star hotel we arrived from where we didn't lift a finger. South Coast however is a glorified motel stuck back in time in during the 90s. The check-in process was lackluster and I don't think the front desk said more than a few words to us. The first thing I noticed when we got to our "villa" was how dirty the room with dust and overall unclean. I will include a picture below of the tissue I used to wipe the black dust/dirt from the heating blower. The same goes for all of the molding and nooks around the room. The material of the couch and chairs were faded, truly stuck back in time and haven't been touched in decades. Our front door had cracks in it that you could see through. The pictures on the website showcase these incredible villas, but that's not the reality. Here's the twist, the spa/pool, and overall grounds were incredible! We had the best time by the pool and my wife enjoyed the amenities of the spa. Walking the grounds was our favorite because the views of the vineyards and other gorgeous flowers and bushes was breathtaking. We want to love this place, but they need a major update for us to come back. Next time we'll Airbnb and use the spa and other amenities separately.

We had a reservation at the Carter Winery but had to change at the last minute. The property is nice and the room was very large and comfortable. Typical of wine resorts, food and beverage prices are higher but consistent with the other wineries. We selected this property as they had a pool and hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working which happens. However, rather than closing it, the hottub remained open with cold water and it was quite dirty. Check in was slow as we had to wait until 5 pm to get into our room.

We were put in a villa which wasn’t clean. The refrigerator in the room needed to be defrosted and was dirty. For the price of the room I would have expected it to be clean at the very least. Could use a remodel as well.

The rooms are dated and grungy looking. Our villa had a musty smell to it and there was hair in the sink and a fly in the room. The AC was so loud that every time it shut off and turned back on it startled us awake! Horrible experience.

As much as I want to love this property, I can’t get past the rooms. We decided to go for the the king villa, and the interior of the room is extremely dated. So much so that it made me question the cleanliness. The room could have been clean but I never felt comfortable in my own skin there. Really upsetting. That being said, the grounds of the property are beautiful. We would have enjoyed eating at the restaurant, but honestly, once we woke up, we went off property because there were nicer places in the area. In the future, we would choose somewhere else. It’s a shame because the property is beautiful, the rooms though are a huge swing and miss

The room was clean and also there was no odor in the room. Everything was working properly and the room service was excellent. The bed and pillows were premium quality with utmost comfort. The bathroom was also excellent with great lighting and water pressure. The view from our balcony was spectacular with hundreds of grape vines making up the South Coast Winery vineyard. I will definitely come back and stay at the resort & spa.

This was my first time visiting this Inn. Staff was super nice at checkin and at the restaurant so I hate to leave this review. There was a very bad smell coming from the bathroom. It smelt like sewage. I opened the sliding glass door to try and air it out. I ended up just closing the bathroom door and then finally chose to leave in the very early morning. My pillow had a long black hair on it and the dresser top looked like it hadn’t been well cleaned in sometime. Disappointed.

The pictures of the resort make it seem much nicer than it is. The room was clean; however, it was pretty outdated. There were stains on the carpet, and the sitting chairs were pretty frayed. The walking path to the pool was unmarked, unmaintained, had no lights at night, and had many weeds growing in it. The pool, spa, and fitness area were nicer.

Loved walking through the vines. The rooms were nice and large, layout was a bit odd. For $300/night I expected to not have to drive to get decent coffee in the morning. A k cup is fine, but on a resort in a vineyard I would have appreciated a real freshly brewed cup of coffee available near the lobby.

The Villa we stayed at was beautiful. The Villas are so private and quiet, overlooking a beautiful vineyard. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the amenities. The only problem was the front desk wouldn't answer their phones. Although the room service didn't answer, they called us back. However, the ice is kept at the front desk and it is very hard to get ahold of someone there.

The staff told us our room would be ready within the hour since they were not full. They never contacted us. The next day when we wanted to visit their sister winery Carter winery, they shuttle just so happened to be in for service, but were told it would be back in an hour. So we walked to Carter winery hoping to get get the shuttle back in a few hours. Just our luck it was “still” being serviced. So we had to walk back.

Location is very overpriced. Hotel is old, dirty and smells. Not worth the price. It is run down and not worthy of a 4 star hotel. I tried to get a refund and they refused. The room cards kept deactivating. There was bird poop on the chairs outside my room. The vinyard is small and there is no where to sit outside to enjoy the vinyard.

Great service. Everyone was super friendly and offered service every step of the way. Doors being opened for us when our hands were full, a free gift for our anniversary, snacks and bags for our dog, offered to be driven to the hotel restaurant… very clean room and everything was in good working condition. Top notch. Definitely plan to return.

For the price you can do better in Temecula. We were disappointed with our stay. Quick summary, we had a king villa and the room seemed dated. The view was of some grape vines and the parking lot. Upon checking in we found the carpet soaking wet because the mini fridge had malfunction and ice had melted all over the rug. We were told by maintenance the cleaning crew did not close it correctly when cleaning it which cause the melting ice. We debated between this resort and Carters and regretted our decision. Having stayed at Carter’s previously, the rooms and view are superior. We received horrible service at the pool. Ordered a bottle and we were completed forgotten about and did not get our order until 40 minutes had elapsed. We then tried to make the best of it and order drinks and they never brought those. Just embarrassingly poor service that nearly ruined our anniversary trip. They tried to charge us for the drinks until I reminded them they never brought them out. The restaurant on properly is a positive, we had breakfast and dinner there and both were excellent. Great food and great service. Overall, due to poor customer service and dated rooms I would not recommend. For the money you can get better in Temecula.

I enjoyed my stay at South Coast Winery Resort. The property is beautiful and most of the staff were very friendly. However, one of the front desk attendants was not very welcoming—despite the resort being fairly empty and my room already upgraded, she was abrupt and did not offer any further options. It would also be nice to have more towels available around the pool area. In the late afternoon, the pool phone service wasn’t working, so we weren’t able to request additional towels. We asked for a mid-day room refresh, which was done at an average level. That said, we enjoyed our time at the resort overall and would consider coming back in the future.

South coast winery is a beautiful resort. It’s also right by numerous other wineries which makes it extremely convenient. The dinner at the resort is a little pricey but that comes with the territory.

Our stay at this hotel was amazing. While the check-in staff were just ok, everything else more than made up for it. The room was spacious and quiet, providing a perfect place to unwind. We had a great experience at the restaurant every time we visited, consistently good food and service. The pool area was incredibly relaxing, and even when it was busy, the staff remained attentive and accommodating. The spa was a highlight-absolutely fantastic. Overall. A wonderful stay in a great location. We’d definitely come back!

Issues with the restaurant— we were a party of 10 and service was slow, one of our party didn’t get his meal until the rest of us were finished (his meal was comped; it was an error by the cook), 3 complaints about too much salt in salads and a salmon dish; the waiter took way too much time getting our orders tallied for payment. Overall judgment: none of us would go back to the restaurant.

Our hotel room was exceptionally clean, and the property grounds are well maintained. The staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Fresh tacos were made available for purchase on the outdoor patio, which we appreciated for a quick bite while enjoying our wine. However, the hotel is a bit dated, everything closes early, including the surround wineries/vineyards. There was music in the patio area, but no live entertainment throughout our stay, which would have made our experience more enjoyable. Also, the hotel kitchen does not stay open late, so we had to drive into town to get pick up dinner, which was a little bit out of the way. I recommend this resort, but want to others consider these small details when booking.

We went to Temecula to do some wine tasting. My wife liked the wine and the bar tender was cool and helped with her choices. The room was kind of like a Shot gun bar but was comfortable. The room had seen some use and the pipes whistle at times. The view was nice very pretty, I included a phot of that. The pool was nice. We did not partake of the spa. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and it was ok as well. If you like to watch birds, the patio is great!
