Staff was kind and welcoming. Loved the refreshment bar. The breakfast was outstanding. The Turkish Coffee Bar was excellent and so beautiful and fun. Love the complimentary massage chair. Old fashioned popcorn machine and beautiful open courtyard set up. We were in town for a youth hockey tournament and the ice center is next door to the hotel so we could walk over in less than 5 minutes. Room was clean. The lotion provided smelled great. Room was extra large. All outlets worked. Bright upgraded bathroom. Would most definitely stay here again.

Check in staff was friendly. Parking free and easy. There was an additional charge for early check in. TV in room was continually problematic and staff acknowledged this as an ongoing problem but were able to help. Pool was small but heated. No towels by pool - staff had to be asked to bring them out on both of the days I used the pool. Complimentary breakfast was sufficient and a nice option. Water, coffee and tea available throughout the day was appreciated. Walking distance to movie theater, ice rink, dining options, cute downtown vacaville area and Andrews park. This property is also Pet friendly. I will be staying here again.

The staff is very accommodating and extremely friendly. The breakfast is much better than most Continental breakfasts and they even serve fresh Turkish coffee - my first time having it. My only recommendation would be to management to put a full size mirror in each room. that is the only downside to the hotel. I want to be able to see what I look like from head to toe before I leave; not just from waste up. The rooms are very comfortable and they even have a massage chair that you can use whenever you want for free.

I enjoyed my stay. I love the friendliness of the staff and the overall cleanliness of the place. Hot breakfast is served every morning. Fresh Coffee, milk, juice, bagels, English muffins and bread. Cereal for the kiddos, eggs, sausage and hash browns etc…Clean dining area with a courtyard feel with lots of tables, chairs. Also provided, WiFi, public whirlpool, pool, massage chair and many other amenities. 2 night stay for business.

Room was clean. Hotel's description said gym, gym consisted of 2 treadmills and a exercise ball. Even so the gym was closed for remodel. All soda vending machines on premises were not working. But buffet breakfast and morning staff were great!

From the greeting to the exit... I was genuinely impressed.. Unfortunately, good customer service is a lost art; however, Sonesta seems to have unburried this treasure.. they were genuine, the rooms were fully stocked with things that you might have forgotten at home and exceptionally clean! There were ample towels, washcloths et cetera, and an extra blanket. The rooms are accessible through the lobby, only, as they are encased within a enclosed structure. You cannot hear anything from the outside, nor from any other rooms. Blackout blinds and very comfortable bed with awesome linens. One could definitely catch up on much needed rest before taking that next adventure, or the long drive home. THANK YOU, SONESTA HOTEL and STAFF. PS There is an extra plus because they are pet friendly...;however, there is a charge, albeit a small one, one cannot find a hotel with all the amenities AND pet friendly, too.

Definitely ready for a remodel. Staff was pleasant and helpful, but the room had a terrible smell. The bathroom had mold, and broken backsplash on shower. We didn’t ask for a different room since we noticed several other reviewers with same complaints. The toilet splashed over at every flush, and the black out curtains were short so they didn’t black out much light. There are larger, blackout curtains that can be used, but they cover the air conditioning which isn’t an option in the summer. The musty smell was the worst part though.

We booked a two queen suite, it was very dated smelled like eggs, had a hole in the wall near the ceiling,and the door would get stuck. We called the front desk they explained the room was dated but they had some renovated rooms available but it wasn't a suite. We accepted. This room was smaller but in better condition. When we were packing to leave I placed our used towels on the floor and then a huge cockroach ran from the towels and climbed the wall to under the vanity.

Staff was great. Hotel is dated, but cheap so you get what you pay for… literally. They originally put me in a room without a working heater (it was cold) and a sticky floor. They then moved me into a nicer room, but there was a noise all night that sounded like Darth Vader’s breathing. Breakfast was on par and their scrambled eggs were better than most. They also had Turkish coffee and free cookies which was a treat.

The room was clean, with no oders. Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was great. It was very quiet. Would have gotten 5 stars but the room heater didn't work. We didn't need it that night. But tried to warm the room a little in the morning and it would not put out heat. We let the staff known when we checked out.

I liked the easy, fast check in. The room is clean, spacious and nice. The bathroom is clean and the shower is wonderful. The bathroom vanity is ridiculously small. Outside parking lot and view is nothing special. Middle of a busy and noisy intersection.

Accessible room was not up to standards. I am not disabled but yet it was almost impossible to take a shower. The water pressure was completely low, and the cleanliness of the bathroom was terrible. I will never book an accessible room again at this location. The WiFi also did not work.

The light in the bathroom didn’t work, maintenance came to check it and said needed to replace whole piece, front desk didn’t wanted to give us another room, when I asked reimbursement suddenly it turned out they did have another. I've stayed here before and didnt have any issues but this stay started off bad. I called to ask if any rooms were available before 3pm and they said yes. Normally places will let you check in like an hour early with no fee. I drove 9 hours and I was exhausted and I didnt want to wait an hour. I checked in at 1:55pm and they made me pay $35 extra! Ive never had to do that before and the clerk had an attitude on top of it. Then the next morning there wasnt any water to take a shower or use the toilet. They said it would be back on around 2pm. I had to check out at 12pm! If they had to do work, do it late when everyone's sleeping. From what I was told, it was a planned shut off, not an emergency. Also, I'm noticing more homeless and people smoking weed out front. Needless to say, I wont be back.

This property really has some nice extra features that we enjoyed. The breakfast was really good and the rooms were comfortable. The only problems that we encountered was first with checking in. There was only one staff member who was doing his best, but there was a long line and multiple people kept calling the front desk. He would’ve done well with a secondemployee working the desk with him. In addition, our room was very warm and never cooled down to the temperature we set on the thermostat. The exercise room also had issues with being too warm even though the air was on. The extra touches for comfort were appreciated despite the above issues.

Service was slow. We were in a rush & check-in took so long. It should be quick & easy. They had me enter information & sign on the blank space of a form because it didn't have spots for that information (car make/model, signature) Aren't they checking everyone in with this info? Even the elevator was super slow. It's a convenient location from the ice rink & it's nice they take pets & have a grassy pet relief area. Breakfast was good, above average (e.g. chobani yogurt, 2 flavors of waffle batter). Bonus for the Turkish coffee! They also had toothbrush, toothpaste & mouthwash since my daughter forgot to pack hers.

I was in town for some refresher training for work, the location was close to the training facility which made it convenient, the breakfast provided was more than I expected. Everything from a yogurt machine with granola, fruit both fresh individual and chopped fruit, eggs scrambled the first day and ham & cheese omelette & hard boiled eggs, bagels, danishes, muffins, bacon, sausage pattys, coffees, juices and I'm sure I left something out, pet friendly property but I never heard any only saw them outside being walked around the property, decent shower. If I'm in the area I'll stay there again.

The personnel were just ok. No one really went all out to make me feel welcome. Breakfast was horrendous. Not a staff problem. Frozen food warmed over just doesn’t appeal to me. The room was adequate. The weird closet set up left a lot to be desired. Hot water was a premium….not a lot to have. I suppose if this were a lower rate facility it might be worth it.
