Our check in was quick and efficient. The bed was exceptional. It was under construction but still neat and orderly. The shower was very nice. Check in staff gave us a room close to the pool, gym and our car which made everything that much easier.

Nice enough hotel but confusing development without good signage of how to get to your room. The 4th floor is broken up by the middle Section which only has 3 floors, so unless you know this is the layout, it could take you a while to find your room on the 4th floor. I had to ask an attendant how to get to my room, which was a first. The restaurant/bar area was mediocre. I expected more from a Marriott in a beach town, but the facility and room was nice enough. Not worth the high rate in my opinion.

wifi was not free, Even as a member with Marriott. Challenging to connect. No coffee available. Room coffee machine broken. Seeked alternative.None available unless you pay. So, if you enjoy coffee thank twive about this hotel. Nice inner court with pool and hot tube. The price was exceptionally high.

Our room was extremely dirty there was mold on the shower and the shower floor had not been cleaned and was all black there was overall the bathrooms felt like they had not been cleaned and our room was behind a car wash very noisy we could not sleep. The elevator was out and we had to take the suitcases up two floors no one helped and then just to learn that they have given us wrong direction we had to come down with all our stuff go all the way to other side of building to find an elevator that is working and every time getting to lobby from our room was a 10 minute walk Our room had a very short window as if you are in a basement super overpriced for what we got.

I have stayed at this beautiful Marriott in the past, and this time around I can only comment on the rooms. We did not avail ourselves of pool or restaurant, or any of the other activities available at the hotel this time. It was a quick stay, so I can say that at check in everything went smoothly. The staff we encountered throughout our stay, though few people, were all very courteous and eager to help. The room we stayed in was very clean, quiet, and had all the comforts one could expect from a well appointed guest room. We asked for extra pillows which were promptly delivered within a few minutes. We enjoy this location when in Ventura for the proximity to a beautiful beach, walking distance to Seaward Village with all the restaurants and shops available there, and short drive to Ventura Harbor as well as to Downtown Ventura and Main Street activities. When it’s a quick weekend away, this is a superb place to stay!

The room was clean and comfortable, however, the walls are really thin. We were on the bottom floor and heard kids jumping and running around on the floor above us until midnight. I could hear the guy in the bathroom in the room next to us. Not just mumbling, I could hear everything he was saying clearly. Check out is at noon. I had my “privacy please” sign on the door and at 10am housekeeping persistently knocked on my door until I answered and asked if I’m checking out today. Two hours prior to checkout. I called the front desk to confirm the checkout time and explained what happened and all he said was that maybe it was a new hire. No apology or anything.

The room AC did not work properly. The restroom vent not working at all, super hot could not get ready due to the heat. We asked for help and no one ever came to check. We also requested towels and no one brought them. The hotel and people are nice. Wish this issue would have been taken care of.

I read this property at ocean views. It’s why I chose it. No ocean view. Our view was the parking lot. When we entered the room, there was a bad smell. I opened the windows to air it out. The staff were lovely and we were given a larger room as our room wasn’t ready when we arrived. When we requested an extra blanket, it came but it was very thin.

Love the location, room, amenities, cleanliness, etc. The only problem was that the heater in our room would not stop and Airconditioning was not working, it was a warm day, and even though there were many open rooms, they still gave us that room. We realized this in the middle of the night and didnt have it in us to change the room at that point. They didnt care to follow up and check in with us the next day.

check in was not helpful. when you tell the person that you need as little walking distance to the elevator and to the lobby and you are put as far away as possible. i will say that the young man working in the bar was very kind and helpful.

Rude staff, gave me the wrong room then tried blaming it on me-until I showed them the reservation. Room service link in room didn’t work so I called the front desk. The lady at the front put me on hold, so I eventually called back. When they answered, the lady was intentionally rude and transferred me to a voicemail. I went up front to straighten things out and ultimately to cancel my room. At first they refused to give me any kind of receipt showing the credit card charge was cancelled, until after about 20 minutes of back and forth with the “controller” who said he needed to redact it because it has proprietary information. I challenged him saying that any time a credit card is swiped, the consumer is entitled to some form of record showing the transaction. About 15 minutes later, he came out of his office with my receipt. The hotel looks nice, but I wouldn’t go back. They also said that there was no manager available when I asked, which doesn’t seem right.

Hotel is really nice and staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a lovely room on the top floor with the view of the park and the ocean - always a bonus! The room was modern, super clean and very enjoyable to stay in. Hotel is relatively close to highway so it was impossible to sleep with the door open because of highway noise. However, the room AC was super quiet so the noise was minimal and did not disturb us during the night. Had to ask for daily room service - if we wanted it. Overall, we’d stay here again.

Nice location with a sweet pool. Very nice staff. No view of the beach but it doesnt matter. Inside view of courtyard pool is great. Easy access by car or bike/walk to beach path is great. Ventura makes a fun, easy getaway for central coasters. Don’t miss the bike ride to Ojai as it’s really fun & manageable. You can always get the bus back from Ojai.

We had a nice stay. The hotel is clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are amazing. Everything was great except the view and immediate neighborhood. There's no views to speak of but it is close to the beach. And there are homeless people around and not a super clean area. Right next to In-N-Out. The bathroom doors are barn doors so they don't close entirely and there's no bathroom fan. So very little bathroom privacy between no secure door closure, no noise barrier, and the cracks that stay open because of the barn door. All in all, though, we'd stay there again. It's very clean and comfortable.

I had a conference there, and I really enjoyed my stay. It was so easy to get around from the hotel room to the main lobby and the interior was nicely decorated with different seating areas. The only issue I had was service in the morning at breakfast was very slow, and it was hard to get a waiter or hostess. One woman sat there for over an hour and didn’t get her breakfast yet. Otherwise, the afternoon bartender was awesome.
