The hotel was very nice and spacious. Pool was excellent. Everything was clean and location was great. However, staff seemed extremely entitled and came across as not wanting to be helpful or even wanting to be there.

The pool is fantastic and absolutely worth spending extra money on the cabana. The rooms are nice enough but not as good as some other hotels in the area. For example, there was only one tiny trash can in the bathroom. Also tiny holes in the curtains and a stain on one of the chairs. Not awful; still a nice room, but little areas of wear and tear. I did find it odd that they didn't hand out any kind of welcome items. Usually hotels will give you a printout or a card with information like guest wifi and all of that. I had to go down to reception to ask about that since the general wifi was slow. Overall, I had a nice stay, but those were just a few things I noticed. I will say the staff was phenomenally nice and helpful. And the location is killer.

This was the second time we have stayed at Andaz West Hollywood. Both times we had a room facing Sunset Boulevard--we will not do that again! So noisy and so many moving lights, even with the blackout curtain--from the building across the street. Also, the room blasted a horrible perfumy smell when the air conditioning was going. Every time we walked into the room, it hit us and we said we wouldn't stay there again because of the smell. We do appreciate the free snacks and coffee machine in the lobby. The front desk staff was great. Nice pool and fitness center. We will stay here again but always request a room facing the back and hopefully the smell will be gone.

The room was clean and beds comfortable. The pool is really nice with great views, although too bad the rooftop is closed at 9pm. Shower was a bit on the smaller side and there was some mold. Amenities were nice. The hotel location was great, but parking (valet) was expensive ($75/day).
