The hotel needs to be renovated and updated. The hallway carpet is dirty the floors in the rooms and elevators are dirty. The staff is not friendly and acted like we were a bother. The breakfast might be ok if the set up was better but they have food set up across the room and to many tables crowding everything so you can’t get by people sitting. The pool is filled with so much chlorine that it will burn your eyes and throat while sitting in the pool area. It is a nice place for the kids to have something to do but almost not worth staying for the other issues it’s old and needs to be updated asap.

We stayed with kids and the water park was a hit. Being right next to the Gondola for the Caverns was good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Kids enjoyed the game room. Rooms were clean and quiet. Hotel needs an update, carpets have large stains especially downstairs by game room and looked as they have not been vacuumed in weeks.

This is a very clean property with a awesome indoor waterpark with a large pool (3 feet deep) and a hot tub. It attracts a lot of families with children. The rooms were nice and standard hotel furnishings. Our only real issue was the limited selections for breakfast and bagels, muffins, milk, were empty and there was no fresh fruit or hot selections. We would have liked to have seen some adult only pool hours.

The first room I was put in was filthy. Stains on bed and dirty sheets. Hair in shower. I was moved to another room, I should have checked it better. We went to dinner and came back to go to bed and found hair in sheets, bugs on floor, hair in shower. It is an outdated hotel with sheets that are yellow and need to be changed out.

Eek. All the 5-star reviews must have been from a while ago. This place is TIRED. The carpet's almost worn through; stains on every soft surface from lamp shades to curtains. Bed was weird - like it was inflated?? All the doors and trim are beat up. Different color sheets (beige pillow cases, white sheets) make things look dingy. And a nice view -- of I70 with its noise. :( The pool was great, the slide was fun and the hot tub was good. But the rooms were sub-par at best.

Property was overall dirty from the rooms to the pool. The lady at check-in was rude and delayed check in by sitting (we could see her looking at us). Bugs were all over the inside of the building and floors looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Also, someone attempted to pry open my truck tonneau cover as it was parked out front. Will not ever stay at this hotel again. 0/10 do not recommend.

Hotel definitely needs an update. Sheets were not white but a creamy yellowish color that made me not wanna get in bed, windows were very dirty. Shower corners look moldy i didnt want to step bare foot in there. Pool looked dirty, paint chipping on slide as well. Honestly it wasnt a pleasant stay. Im glad I only stayed one night. Online images looked nicer than in person. Positives: Good location, front desk staff was nice and got a room upgrade as far as size but when entering into the room it truly didnt feel like an upgrade. But it appreciate it. Front area/lobby was decent.

Don't stay in this hotel. Very dirty. After delayed check-in, my kid and pet found "amazing gifts" from previous guests like old pacifier, nails, dog's food leftovers. Looks like room was not cleaned for weeks. Reported this to staff on duty, and person on reception provided another room but still with sticky, dirty floor and told me that hotel will provide full refund on my booking. I never got refund. Tried to contact hotel manager Mia but she never replied on my emails or return a call.

The rooms and overall hotel is very dated, very ran down and not well kept at all. The room was dirty with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, the bathroom was filthy and there was urine from a previous guest at the bottom of the toilet with the bathroom door rotting from moisture. The carpet in the room is dingy and filthy. The room doors have a significant gap and you can heat everything that happens in the hallway. The breakfast is terrible - no protein options at all. We are Colorado Natives and have been going to Glenwood since we were kids and have stayed in many other hotels, all of which are better than this hotel. We will not be staying here in the future.

We chose this hotel for the pool and it was close to the hot springs. Our room was in the basement facing the interstate. The door was really difficult to open. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors perfectly. They were screaming in the halls at 1:30am and it woke us all up. There is no hooks or towel holders at all. In the bathroom you have to hang your towel on the toilet or door knob. There was a hole in one of the quilts in the bed. A large hole. We had two adjoining rooms and in one room the fan did a squeal beep sound constantly and the other room the fan/air conditioning sounded like a broken washing machine. I had to turn the beeping one off and then the room was hot so we had to crank up the one in the other room to keep the other room somewhat cool. The door in between rooms doesn’t stay open it’s so heavy so we had to prop them with soap bottles. The room and hotel are in serious need of updating. In the pool the slide is held together with duct tape and a strap. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is aging and needs many touch-ups. The bed was not very comfortable, and the bathroom drywall and door definitely need work. The biggest frustration is the slow elevator, shared by 4 floors of guests and staff. The breakfast is super basic pre-packaged. No protein. The good news is the indoor pool and slide and game room make it super family friendly, and pets are welcome, too.

My husband and I stayed here and had a room on the first floor. The walls must have been thin, because we could always here noise from the hallway. We were also near the breakfast area and one night a HUGE group of tourists met there until late into the night and it was quite loud. The rooms are clean, but dated.

The room was extremely disappointing. It was dirty, the bed was very uncomfortable and the A.C. didnt work. We were told they would transfer us rooms and when it came time to make that happen, they gave us every excuse in the book including "management isnt here on the weekends". Maintenance was pleasantly helpful but the front desk staff was inconvenienced to do this job and look up from their phones when needed. Overall, I wont be staying here again.

The hotel itself was fine. Staff could be a little more well trained and professional however. We picked Hotel Glenwood Springs because it is pet friendly. We've stayed at other hotels that disclose up-front if there is an extra pet fee. Many have been no extra fee for pets. No where in my registration did I find a pet fee. The hotel also charged an extra $10 for parking which was not disclosed when we reserved our room. In addition to that there was an extra fee on my card the next day for $6.75. When checking out, I asked the clerk about that and was told it would be credited back to my account. It has not been credited back. Had we known that the room was going to cost an additional nearly $60, we would have stayed at a nicer hotel where the fees were transparent. If your fees were in the paperwork, they were buried in it, and not transparent. I did go through the reservation paperwork again when we returned home and did not find any of these fees anywhere. This is deceptive and unacceptable. We feel very taken advantage of. We will not be back.

I have always stayed here when i come to glenwood. This time the desk staff did not make us feel welcome, said theyd call/text when our room was ready, they did not. Once we got our room they never told us about the usual, wifi, pool hours, breakfast times, etc. they played rap music loud in the lobby, good song but very unprofessional. The continental breakfast sucked. Hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, yogurt… ill be staying somewhere different from now on

First off the staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. That is key to any business, they made me feel welcomed. The room was huge, everything was great, I think they recently replaced the carpet or it was in a newer condition. My only suggestion would be to replace or clean the showerhead. Mine was clogged.

Excellent experience on our trip, best one yet. Friendly and helpful staff, from front desk to anyone we have seen on the premises. Great clean room, many options when it came to size/setup. Cool breakfast options, oh and I let’s not forget about pool and arcade-that sure helped me keep the kiddos happy. I was also so happy to get the “here you go with dining options” sheet when I asked for recommendations.

We were there to explore the area’s geothermal features. On the way into town, we stopped at the Vapor Caves, and the next day we went to Iron Mountain Hot Springs, both of which were lovely. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Not walking distance to Historic Glenwood, but easily drivable.

Great property with very convenient location. East walk to Iron Mtn hot springs. Pleasantly surprised by condition of hotel. Yes, it's older, but it was in great shape and very clean, with very friendly staff. Would be great for families as pool area looked fun and gondola to Adventure Park right outside front door.

It was my first time staying in this hotel, and it was a very nice experience. It is conveniently placed right next to the gondola that takes you up to the Glenwood Caverns amusement park, and right behind is a trail to the Iron Mountain Hotsprings. My room had a hot tub in it that was clean and well maintained. Overall experience for me was a 5/5

Perfect place for families with children. Waterside was fun! Next to an amusement park. Walking distance from the business district. Breakfast was grab and go food (nothing hot. No fruit). Showing its age a bit. Typical hotel except for the pool area. Great value for the area. Take the gondola ride to the top!

Sadly got a room next to the highway. Road noise is super loud. I had ear plugs but still got woken up by loud vehicles/semis. Tip: request a room facing the mountain not I-70. No hot breakfast just refined carbs and continental breakfast items.. no protein :-( Seems like a good place for small kids though with the fun pool and being next to the gondola. Walking distance from the Iron Mountain Hot Springs which is what I was there to visit.

For the price I was expecting to be a bit more impressed. Breakfast had only waffles as a hot option. Hard boiled eggs and coffee was pretty gross. The location is super convenient and is close to local attractions, but the state of the hotel is definitely needing updating. The waterpark was good for my 3 year old son, but it was small if you have older kids.

This property is conveniently located to go to iron mountain hot springs, and the adventure park, but it is not worth $190 a night. It is geared towards kids and that is mostly fine but it leaves some things to be desired. The breakfast was underwhelming to say the least. It was waffles, cereal, and some bread products. All very sugary options. We decoded as adults we needed some healthier options and so we went to the 19th st dinner (which I would highly recommend) Over all its not as clean as it should be, its a bit run down, and over priced. There are other hotels in the area that are better maintained for the same price.

Our stay was ok, but we had to make it that way for ourselves. The highway noise was so loud we could not sleep, breakfast was horrible with no option of protein whatsoever. They offer muffins, bagels and cereal. And the juice machine puts out the juice HOT. Not room temp, but actually HOT! We were expecting much more from this hotel

Breakfast was terrible, it consisted of stale cereal, bagged hard boiled eggs, and high fructose corn syrup loaded syrup. Pool was littered with peeling paint chips. Staff was extremely rude, treated tourists like locals of mountain towns do. Rude, short, snippy. Also booked this place for the beer bar. It wasn’t open at all during our 3 night stay.
