I chose this hotel for its outdoor pool. The photos looked lovely. But when we got there the pool is by the highway 70 and so loud we didn't want to use it. Not at all relaxing!!!

If you want to be treated like you are loved and matter, this hotel is where you should stay. Every single staff member from the time I walked through the door to the time I checked-out, everyone was extremely kind! Not to mention that amenities are outstanding! The pool area and the workout area was kept nice and clean, the bar inside the main lobby was excellent and cleaned, the bathrooms are kept clean with an exceptional custodian where she even came back to check on the bathroom toiletries were always stocked throughout the entire day! Even the food was amazing and when you stay, you need to taste their chocolate cake for dessert! 5+ Stars!!!!

There seemed to be some internal water damage throughout causing a disruption in the cleanliness and environment. The pool and hot tub were closed, which was very disappointing with no heads up or notice. Also says free breakfast and it is not. Rooms super small. Staff was very nice and friendly, food was amazing, and beds were comfy; beautiful lobby and area.

The property is very dated and Marriott has not spent a dime on it in years. Nobody is paying attention to details. I tried using the house phone from the pool to call the lobby and you get a recording! The bar draft beer was out of service, ok, how about a Stella? Oh we're out of that. How about a such and such? We're out of that. Blah blah blah. Very sloppy overall operation. Nobody is running the place.

Nice and modern hotel. Large parking area makes it great for group events where there would be lots of people bringing individual vehicles. Sizeable gym and a pool (was under maintenance I believe while I was there). Wide hallways, full size elevator, multiple ramped entrances, automatic doors, and large room make it ideal for people with limited mobility. The location is close to Colorado School of Mines as multiple parents were there dropping off students. A very classy and modern bar and lounge is straight inside the main entrance, and there’s an outside dedicated smoking area across the foyer. The grounds are well kept with beautiful foliage giving it a bit of privacy from the highway. A short walk on the pedestrian pathway over the highway brings you to a shopping mall that had a Whole Foods, Marshall’s, DSW, World Market home goods store, amongst other things. Very nice facility. Would be a great location for a corporate training retreat or something similar.

We were in town for a concert at red rocks amphitheater. I liked everything about the hotel. It had a restaurant. Free coffee and a nice outdoor pool. I picked this hotel because the rooms had balconies.

This property was beautiful and well kept outside. Inside, there was some random food in the hallways from company parties, but it wasn’t anything overwhelming or repulsive. It seems this hotel services a lot of corporate events, but we never felt out of place as regular guests. The hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean.

When I arrived (after booking a room for $289/night) a guest in front of me had some reservation problem that took almost 20 min to resolve. The registration person just let the line grow instead of calling another agent either to help him or check the rest of us in. He said nothing about the delay. I got to the room and they wanted $15 for the wifi. I just used my phone hot spot. (Maybe the hotel could have given me a coupon for free wifi for the checkin snafu). Finally my wife went to get into the shower and there was a used razor cartridge sitting in the bottom of the supposedly clean bathtub. This is an older property in good condition and would be a great place to stay with an operator who was paying attention. Until then, hard pass.

Our room had many issues like blood on our comforter, dead bugs in the room, wiring hanging from the walls, pimple patches left on the night stand, cigarette burns in our mattress. There was also a piece of the door that wasn't attached properly. My fiance ended up hitting her hand on this items and got hurt. She has to fill out an incident report

The room was very small (forget doing a sun salutation). The bed was lumpy and the sheets were obviously too small and in poor condition (holes). The air conditioning did not work well. The room was quite warm. The location was good. I would noy stay here again though because it just was not comfortable for sleeping. For the price, this was disappointing. I expect more from Marriott.

I was placed in the closest room possible to the highway. #201. Terrible noise and vibration throughout day and night. Unable to relax or sleep without tv on loud or heater blowing. No one should be put in that room even if they book through your discount service.

It was a nice hotel but when it says 'mountain view' it is not much to look at and the pictures make it very different. We paid extra for a 'mountain view' and patio - the pictures made it seem like we would be on a higher floor with a balcony and clear. what we got on check-in was a ground level (had to go down to get to our room) with a concrete slab and view of parking lot, highway noise and if moved chair could see part of a mountain. If we had not paid extra for this would not have been a big deal but was disappointed and told no higher floors available. Besides the room view, the food was good, drinks were good but very expensive and was easy to get places. No where within walking distance to go.

Room tiny. The bathroom could only fit one person at a time. Literally had to move knees while on commode to shut door. Multiple joints were left on balcony. Bottom sheet to little for bed and kept coming off. Pricey for a room like this; however amenities were nice. Good restaurant both indoor and outdoor pools super clean. Great location. Only one group of elevators leading us to walk down three halls to get to our room.

We checked in pretty late after a long day of traveling. Although I had reserved a king sized room, I was told at check in that there were no king rooms left and we would get two doubles instead. I showed them my confirmation and I explained that my husband is 6’4” and that we really don’t fit in a double bed. It didn’t matter to them and we were offered nothing for our inconvenience. Would not recommend.

It's a very nice hotel and setting. It is; however, a decent walk to any stores or restaurants outside of the hotel. Dowtown Golden is a 12 minute ride, but worth the trip.

Through Expedia, I reserved what I thought was a room with a higher level room but instead got a view of a major, loud highway. Very loud. The staff tried to accommodate us but really there are very few rooms that do not look over the highway and that have a view. The bed was nice but the bathroom could have used a fan and a few more amenities.

I’ve stayed here several times, however they have changed their breakfast. They used to have a nice restaurant with made to order breakfast now it is the standard you would get from any chain hotel and it was awful I think paying $22 made it worse I didn’t even finish it it was that bad. The rooms are outdated not what you would expect from a Marriott. I would have thought I was at a holiday inn or best western

The restaurant was open for limited hours - no lunch, only room service, which was unsatisfactory due to the lack of other restaurants within walking distance. Convenient to Golden and Red Rocks, but the restaurant is either closed or is closing when you need to eat—and there isn’t much else around there. They stopped serving breakfast at 9:00 am yesterday! Bedding is very comfortable, but this place caters to small conventions rather than the individual. Meh.

The room was cleaned daily by friendly cleaning staff, which was excellent. The $22 charge for a breakfast buffet that was little more than what is included as part of the room price at most other hotels was outrageous. The carpeting and furnishings were well used and tired.

This Marriott was a lovely, though older, hotel easily accessible to I-70 corridor. The room was clean, quiet and the bed very comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showering and complimentary toiletries were appreciated. We purchased the breakfast for both mornings of our stay. The selections were abundant, promptly restocked and delicious. The hostesses were very friendly and ensured tables were quickly wiped down after customers left. We had a lovely stay and would book again.
