Super 8 by Wyndham Wheat Ridge/Denver West

The first room was 25 yards from I-70. The one we changed to was quiet, but had none of the amenities we were supposed to have. The elevator was broken as was the hot tub and dryer in the laundry room.

The front desk staff were courteous and professional upon check-in. Although the hotel seems to be rather worn down on the exterior. the rooms and spaces seem to be well-maintained and kept clean. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. I didn't get to check out the swimming pool, but it was open and appeared to be clean.

There was a dead rat in parking lot for been two days still there not a encouraging place to visit

Supposed to have secured outer doors. They weren't. Homeless sitting in the hallways. Pet friendly but not a "rest" area. Dog poop all over the parking lot. Floor in room was sticky, stains on bedding and towels, extremely soiled couch in room and no toilet paper in the room

The bed was the best part of our stay.The pool was nice but the surrounding area needed mowing and trimming. Oh the dog park was around the pool. Every morning the coffee was gone before the skimpy breakfast was over. No protein. The place was full but was under renovation. Paint where it shouldn't be. They needed lessons on using trim tape.

Inside was clean. Pet friendly but there were needles in the pet area outside. Courtyard inside was cleaner for pets to use the restroom. A lot of homeless in the area and exterior doors were propped open many times.

Property needs renovation. Back door was often left unlocked by tenants and no one seemed to care. Trash cans left overflowing.

Outdated rooms were not very clean, toilet in room was leaking all over the floor, door handle was put on backwards and hanging off in bathroom. Walls were dirty and mirror had kiss marks left on it from previous guest. Hallways were full on linen on the floor at all times. Breakfast was absolutely awful 3 choices of cereal and two types of muffins. Not Tree nut allergy friendly. The pool was nice and clean and a good temperature on the smaller side but we were the only ones in it so it was fine.

Horrible hotel. Room was in poor condition. Horrible smell from air conditioner. Mold on vents. Police made the rounds routinely. Not a nice hotel. Microwave made the fuse blow in room. Sofa couch horribly stained....with food and a spork when you pulled it out. Bathroom dirty. Pool was open and decent but absolutely no shade. 1 out of 10. Would have moved after the first night but was too stressed as we were in the city for pet surgery.

They’re under construction and I smelled fresh paint which gave me a headache the door to my room needed some love and the floors are long carpeted just laminate

I would not even give this property a 1 star. It was the most disgusting hotel that I had ever stayed in. We had planned to stay 2 nights but unfortunately when we got there to check in the room was disgusting. The floor in our room was tore up, poop mark on the bed, hair on the floor, homeless people living outside of the hotel. We went down to the front desk and asked for another room and that room was not any better!! So we left right after we checked in and the hotel would not even give us a refund back. Stay away from this nasty hotel!!

My room was O.K. But the floor was a bit dirty (with stuff stuck on the tiles) and just unclean along the baseboards. Would've been nice to have a box of tissues in the room. The fridge in my room (#132) badly needed to be defrosted. One of the reasons that I stayed in this motel was because it was advertised as "Dog friendly". I think that that term should go beyond merely allowing dogs and charging for them. This particular motel did not have a place to walk my dog on grass; it's all pavement, gravel, rocks, and cement sidewalks. More "poop-bag stations" please! More places to dispose of used bags, too. Another outdoor issue: a large pigeon evidently took up living on the ground in a corner by an exterior door. There was a huge deposit of bird poop that had accumulated there and was never cleaned up in the 4 days/nights I stayed there. On the good side of things: Evey one of the employees that I encountered was friendly and professional toward me. Nice folks!

Room smelled of cigarette smoke, but appeared clean. Staff accidentally double booked me and charged a walking rate vs the prepaid rate I already paid.

The cleaning was not up to par, dead insects under the bed upon arrival. Also the rooms are wildly different between floors and bed quantities. Made for an undesirable stay as compared to the quality of the last time we came

It's one of the cleanest places I've stayed in a long time. Rooms are big. Very little to complain about actually

The hotel and the rooms were somewhat clean. But we noticed on the last night that one of the beds will starting to get ants. We thought they had continental breakfast, but I guess I read that wrong.

Let me start by saying, we knew this was not a luxury stay. And it wasnt. Here are the lowlights: 1. My husband can sleep on the floor and be comfortable. This bed left us both with back and hip pain. The floor may have been better. 2. They should say "Continental Breakfast" because it was cold cereal and a small muffin as the ootions. The drink machine had cranberry and everything else was crossed off. 3. If you need to fill the tub, start the minute you get there. Hot water will be full before bed time. 4. The walls are paper thin. We could hear the gals next door explaining why Bob was useless at work. Look out Bob, they have plans! 5. Alarm clock radio went off at about 2am and wouldnt quit snoozing so we unplugged it. 6. The remote back was broken and the batteries were constantly falling out. Staff was nice. That was a plus.

Great staff, very attentive to my needs and on top of the place’s cleanliness. Huge rooms made for comfort.

Terrible room to room insulation. Next room talking and laughing kept us up till 3am. Keys stopped working the second day. Npisy floor panels. Very tired facility. Never again.

I really wanted to give this place 3 and a half... To be fair. Definitely not a 4. I had a nice gentleman check me in, but.... it was SO slow. And my first room was already occupied! And then the second room, NEITHER of the key cards worked. So I had to go back to reception twice to finally have it sorted. And seeing other staff members on the desk making what seemed to obviously be personal phone calls whilst people were checking in seemed VERY unprofessional. The room was nice though. Clean, with comfortable beds, good air con and WiFi, and was quiet too. There were a few... shall I say "dubious" people around. Smoking near the back entrance stairs. Guests obviously, but still smoking right in front of the "No Smoking" signs, which annoys me. The area... is OK. We crossed under the motorway to get to Denny\'s (only a 4 minute walk), and there were the usual people hanging out at the intersection. But nothing really super weird or creepy.... Just... keep your wits about you and probably be at least 2 of you if you\'re gonna walk somewhere nearby. I did feel sorry for the gentleman checking me in. He looks just like Anthony Perkins, so the Bates Motel kind of sprung to mind. Thankfully, I was not murdered in the shower, which is why I can write this review. But maybe just a little more training for staff and a reminder what they can and can\'t do whilst on reception, in view and within earshot of customers / guests would be a good idea?

It was good for a place to stay while on our trip to Denver. No frills and the building is run down but the rooms were comfortable and they had a fridge and microwave which was nice.

Very old place

Bed was comfortable. Was mostly quiet at night. Location near I-70 for east access. Almost everything was in working order. Sam's Club gasoline roughly just one mile away from the property. 0 Shower: Will get hot water but temperature difficult to adjust. Diverter valve not fully working properly. – No hair dryer provided. – Floor not carpeted (some will consider this a plus). – Very bright lights in rear of property a nuisance.

Older property with older furniture, but room was spacious and clean. Had a good night sleep.

Blankets and carpet were in rough shape but the bed was comfy and the location was convenient. Some rowdy neighbors yelling early in the morning.

Ladonna at the front desk waa extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. She knows her job well and totally took care of myself and my issues while at motel. She is very energetic and always smiling. Lupe the housekeeping manager also is great at her job. Between the 2 ladies they make staying at this motel great and makes me continually want to stay at this motel when needed. Thank you lupe and ladonna. Keep up the great work!!

Staff were rude and judgmental.

Check in clerk informed me that the King bed room I reserved was sold out but I would be upgraded to double beds. (Insulting presenting as an upgrade) She told me the policy was first come first served. I explained to her that perhaps she didn’t understand the concept of reserving and paying in advance and getting what you paid for? She said it wasn’t her company and wasn’t afraid of bad reviews. I don’t normally review but here you go. Property run down, non smoking room smelled like a 50 year chain smoker just moved out.

The front desk attendant that checked me in is excellent at her job im pretty sure her name is ladonna. She works mornings at the front desk she may be the manager even and if she isnt then she should be. This was my 3rd time staying at this motel in less than a month and she was great every time. And she is one of the main reasons i come back and stay at this specific motel when im in town. Her customer service is above par and you can tell she likes her job. Thankx again

When we were given a key to our room, we entered a room that someone was currently staying in. We went back to the front desk and told them someone was in the room they just checked us into and they did not have record of anyone staying in the room.

Check in clerk was SUPER helpful !! I'm glad they were able to accommodate us after a long stressful drive.

I reserved two rooms for family. They arrived late at night and were told that because they hadn't called to say they were arriving late the hotel had sold their rooms to other people even though we had paid in advance. The only good thing is that the hotel agreed to refund the money. Additionally, there were some unsavory men and women hanging around the outside of the hotel and in the lobby.

I arrived at 2:30pm to check in to my PREpaid room. Room wasn’t ready. I went back at 3:15pm for 3pm check in, room still not ready. I was assured I could come back late that night for check in (was going to a concert at red rocks). When I arrived after the concert my room was no longer available and was denied a room.. I was told to go 15 minutes away to a DIFFERENT hotel, mind you I booked this specific one due to location, and when I called the new hotel, was told they had no idea what I was talking about and did in fact NOT have a reservation for me but that I could pay the nightly rate of $364. I had already PRE paid $230 for my original room. Unacceptable and ridiculous.

Hotel is located in a busy street. Lobby is sparse. Checkin went quickly. Noticed in room that bathroom was in need of repair. Faded paint, sink stopper needs repair. Breakfast basically did not exist. Lukewarm coffee. No juice. No food. Most disappointing.

Near highway.

The rooms were clean. The property was clean at the check in area but the stairs into the room and the hallway were not well kept. There were a lot of homeless people in the area. I did not feel safe in the room due to the environment of the individuals around the hotel.

Just a pass through. Standard Super 8. Plenty convenient and comfortable but nothing fancy. No elevator, which was a bummer, but we lived… Very convenient off the highway

Wyndham has bought this chain but not done anything to improve it except new shower curtains. Place was filthy. First room visibly dirty and overwhelming cigarette smell permeated everything. Got a new room, not as dirty but blanket and bed cover were not fresh. Didn’t notice any blankets or bed covers on any maid carts so you know they aren’t changing them. My friend was approached by a drug dealer in the parking lot. They put a hold on my card although we paid with a different card. Only bonus was the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful but otherwise I’d give this a minus 10 if I could.

My family and I were in the area for a family funeral and this was a hotel about 10 min from where we needed to be in Wheat Ridge. There were homeless people and vagrants near the road in front of the hotel, we pulled to the parking lot along the side and it seemed to be a highway for seedy people walking through the property. It was not a place I felt comfortable with my family or my vehicle. We immediately left and found other accommodations elsewhere.

Good place to stay near Casa Bonita (within 5 miles). Easy on and off access to I-70 E/W. Good place to sleep , shower and eat a quick light breakfast. Room was spacious and ADA accessible (roll-in shower greatly appreciated). Nice selection of TV channels.

Hotel was clean but the facilities were pretty dated and run down. They shouldnt advertise breakfast. Corn flakes , fruit loops and cheerios is all that was offered. No frui or muffuns or anything else. Literally 3 cereals thatvwere almost empty.

No waffles, fruit or juice. Muffins and cereal was all. 7 am and very limited. Mix up on reservations. Reservations were supposed to be october twelfth leaving monday the thirteenth, but they were in the system for the thirteenth, leaving the fourteenth. That reservation was canceled upon arrival and the room was paid for in cash. But I was still build money taking out of my account for $90. And that's not what it was supposed to be. I paid $68 for the room cash and I need that $90. Put back on my card as soon as possible. Have tried to reach someone to speak to? And all I get, is that damn AI? Which is a crock of crap. I need this fixed quickly please.

Quite run down but they’ve tried to repair. They should not advertise breakfast it was literally some muffins coffee and cold serial. At least get a waffle maker and stick some fruit and bagels. Quite sad.

Horrible breakfast buffet

The rate was good for the stay. The property is run down and breakfast is basically juice, muffin or cereal. They dont let you take it to your room. Not sure why. The rooms were clean but very run down.

Great price for a quick overnight stay. Beds were comfortable and hotel was quiet. Staff was friendly. Coffee was good. Downside? THEY SHOULD NOT ADVERTISE THEY OFFER BREAKFAST (muffin and cereal) as its disingenuous for someone travelling with kids (say grab n go) While clean the vinyl laminate in our room was coming up causing a trip hazard

Breakfast was very limited; just a muffin, cereal & coffee. No juice or fruit were offered. Wood panels on the floor was sticking up and we cut our foot on it. Bathroom sink was damaged. Shower handle was extremely difficult to turn on.
