Comfort Inn & Suites Gunnison - Crested Butte

This hotel double-charged me and now refuses to refund. Even speaking to the General Manager, they are completely unprofessional and I would never recommend this hotel due to this experience.

The hotel is in a disruptive transition. We were booked into a room that had no window shades or working curtains. We were relocated to a room without a working fridge. The deficiencies were corrected almost entirely thanks to reception staffer Nilu. The other reception staffer projected an unwelcoming attitude. I was ready to leave until Nilu stepped in to make things right.

The airport shuttle was great and they worked around our schedule. The hotel is being well maintained. Our room was fine and yet they are in the process of updating everything. Hotel staff were helpful with dinner recommendations and getting us to exercise trails. It was a pleasure to be there. Downtown was an easy walk and we also walked to a great coffee shop. Walmart and city market grocery were right across Main Street from the hotel. All very convenient. You know it is a good spot when the flight crews stay there

Room was clean and appreciate the new window covering but the damage to the walls may have been a priority.

The room was in OK condition – a bit worn and tired, but clean and functioned adequately. The toilet would run unless the handle was jiggled. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The hot tub worked well but could have been cleaner. Overall, the hotel looks like it could use some updating, but it was a decent experience.
