Hampton Inn Groton

Very friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the pool was out of service.

Everything was fine, the elevator was making some terrible sounds but we just took the stairs.

Other than the elevators both being broken, it was a great stay.

Staff was nice . Room was clean but second floor reeked of pot during our whole stay. Breakfast was good . Pool was freezing.

Place was nice. One elevator was broke the other sounded like it was going to break. Otherwise nice place.

The stay was Excellent.. One of the Better Hampton Inn's I've stayed at.. Breakfast was Awesome.. Parking was good.. Being able to get Fresh coffee regardless of the time, I really enjoyed.. Will be staying at the Same location next visit to Connecticut.. (I only stay at Hampton Inn / Hilton regardless of state).. Thankyou for making the stay feel like Home away from home

Centrally located to major attractions. The breakfast choices were diverse and everything was tasty and fresh. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. We also had water, coffee, tea and hot coco in the lounge area available for free anytime. This area was always stocked and clean. Highly recommend staying here.

Room was great, staff was friendly, location was easy to get to. Pool was out of service which we only found out at check in and we were disappointed, but we didn’t let that ruin our stay. They provided free breakfast (which we didn’t take advantage of, but appreciate), but we used the coffee maker in the room.

Pros: Very professional, kind ladies at the desk, clean rooms, very comfortable beds, convenient location and good breakfast. Cons: All carpet needs to be replaced. I was surprised to see carpet in such bad condition in a Hampton Inn.

I did like the room was clean. I did not like the carpets were stained and dirty, both inside and outside, the elevators, and when you walk in the main door

Everything was clean and beautiful

We just recently stayed for two nights and it was great! I would totally go back there. It was super clean and easy check in and check out. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. The room was just what we needed for a quick stay. Again very clean and shower was good. The air conditioner is the only thing I would change. It is set on auto which I completely understand the reason behind but the room did have to heat up a little bit before it turned back on so it did get a little warm at times. Other than that it was perfect. Free breakfast was very nice also. We did not use the pool but it did look well kept and clean. And the best part is the hotel smelled amazing and had no pool smell when u walked in! Very happy with our stay 😁

Very clean and room was very comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choices hot and cold. Would stay again.

A grossly place with bugs

It was alright, I’m giving it 3 stars because we found bed bugs in our room and didn’t believe it. We showed them videos and pictures and they moved us to another room which it didn’t have any bed bugs of course.

Upon arrival you were greeted by Jacqueline and another young lady at the front desk who were very personable and helpful with finding things around the area. When we came back from dinner to go to bed, we noticed.I should say my husband noticed that they were stains.Either yellow or red for blood, not sure if it was semen or not on our blanket and sheets. Disgusting!! I attempted to call down to the front desk.But the phone line was constantly busy so my husband took a walk downstairs.Besides the fact that the room was disgusting, the elevator should have been shut down because the noise and vibration.It was making sounded like it was going to blow up. Jacqueline, who was at the desk, came up, changed our sheets and our blanket.We showered and tried to go back to sleep forgetting about what we've seen. For the next 3 hours, we were so itchy.It was unbearable.We were unable to sleep and by 12 o'clock.We were going to be checking out because of the itchiness. We went downstairs and met Anna who was very helpful in changing our room.But by this time I was already disgusted.I wasn't able to sleep regardless. This room seemed to be a little checked.Everything out still unable to sleep.Even my little dog that I brought with me was itchy and constantly scratching.I didn't see anything besides more stains on their white sheets. If you're going to use white sheets you may need to use some extra bleach or oxy because it's disgusting. Very disappointed at this Hampton.Inn in Gr

Despite nice staff, would not stay there again and would not recommend. The bathroom door is not a regular door and had a 3 inch gap so thst if someone is on the toilet and you are opening the room door, you can easily see the person on thentoulet as can anyone walkign by in the hall andni dont mean just a glimose of a person, i mean youncna see them completely. When i mentioned this to staff they said yes they knew and this was the number one comolaint from guests. I alao mentioned the strong cigarette odor in thenroom coming from the bathroom and they said that was another issue they were aware of. Finally, a good sized portion of one of the drapes was stained with what we were told was ketchup. I can't believe how much we paid to stay in this place. I appreciated the staff's honesty in saying they were aware of all the issues.

My room was near the elevator and each time someone took it , I could hear and feel the elevator thru the wall. I have stayed before in hotels with rooms near the elevator and did not hear a thing. This caused me to not sleep well each night by the 5th night ofI decided to end my stay and head home

The staff were extremely welcoming. Our suite was the perfect size for our family of 3. Great breakfast with omelets, sausage and potatoes.

An out of town stay for a family wedding. Hotel was good not great. Rooms were clean but on the small side. No outside space to sit and relax. No retail stores within walking distance. Breakfast was good. No safe in the room.

The room was clean. Our TV remote would not work so Natalie took it and worked with it so it was operating again when we returned to the hotel. The sliding door to the bathroom did not close completely which was not convenient for bathroom privacy but everything else was great!

Everything was great. Bathroom door was a little weird. It was a sliding panel that didn’t close all the way.

This property is indifferently maintained, inside and out. The room was on the small side, with a bathtub and overall in need of update. Advertised as pet friendly with the fee not disclosed until too late - it is $75. Not sure whether per stay or per night, but as I was there only one night, I consider it exorbitant. This, for an inconsequential 10lb dog. On the upside, the bed was comfortable and the A/C worked well. Overall, for the price (room + dog), it came to over $300 for one night. In Groton ? Definitely not worth it.

I like the comfort of the king size bed and the spacious area where a sofa was placed.

The rooms were large and clean. There is a shared door between rooms and you can hear EVERYTHING in the other room. Also, when you walk down the hall, you can hear people talking in their rooms. Someone had smoked weed in the hallway or in their room close to ours, we reported this to the front desk and their solution was to spray a significant amount of air freshener to try and mask the smell.

Great bed. Slept 10 hrs.

Stay was ok except that the hotel changed us from a two bed room to a king size bed without telling us.

I love that they’re pet friendly and affordable! Staff was amazing and the person that attended us his name was Jose; he was amazing! Would definitely recommend and will be staying here again next time.

This is a great location when we visit our son at school. Easy access to dining and expressway to get around. I’ve stayed here several times and the staff is always friendly and provide great service.

At check-in, the desk clerk was missing and didn’t return for more than 20 minutes. No wash cloths to be had. The pillows were poor, too soft. The breakfast was good. The mattress was decent and the cleanliness was good.

The staff was courteous. They brought us a pack n play when asked. We did request more towels and they never brought them. They were not at the front desk a lot of the time. The continental breakfast was heavily processed and previously frozen food, which is most hotels but still not appetizing. Coffee was available at all times which was great. We had the king suite which had a sink, fridge and microwave. They microwave was sparking and loud when used, so it seemed broken. We unplugged it so there wasn't a fire (we have a toddler that plays with things). It would've been nice to have cutlery and dinnerware to use, which would make the hotel even more ecofriendly (a claim they make on their website). We could hear traffic from our room on the first floor (inside and outside) which could bother some people. There was a decent gap around our door which made it feel less secure and didn't help with blocking noise. Overall a very basic hotel without bells and whistles. Suitable for short stays where you won't be spending much time there. Could benefit from healthier breakfast options and more front staffing (they seemed understaffed & overwhelmed most of our stay).

We stayed there for one night and it was great. The night manager was especially helpful and lovely, providing us with excellent information about the area and the hotel services.

It was a good stay. Close to the 2 places we planned to go, casinos and Misquamicut beach. Very clean , quiet and tons of restaurants and stores nearby. It was exactly what we needed for our weekend getaway

This location had everything we were looking for. It was convenient, super clean, and very accommodating and also close to Mystic

Near restaurants and convenient from the highway

We had a great stay at this hotel. Lovely big clean rooms, with a great breakfast included. Tea/Coffee available 24/7 as well as fresh fruit. Laundry facilities were also good. Jose at reception was very welcoming & friendly. Great location for all things in Groton as well as in Mystic. Lots of restaurants within 5-10 mins drive

It was a nice clean hotel. A bit farther from Mohegan Sun than I thought but nice and quiet.

Great familiar option in Groton. Already missing the thin crispy bacon they serve at breakfast.

Pool was freezing. The counters in the bathrooms were falling off the walls. No wash cloths they don’t carry them. Elevators don’t work properly. They don’t keep enough food at the breakfast they don’t restock them Beds are old and dated.

Pleasant staff. Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Hampton Inn has the Best Bacon.

High points of the property are the welcoming and accommodating staff. The public areas are clean and pleasant enough. What I didn’t like are Hilton’s obvious attempts at cost cutting that diminished the overall comfort of our visit. Housekeeping is offered every other day only. We needed to request more tissues and towels because we would run out prior to the next room cleaning. The towels are old and thin. The free breakfast is very basic - powdered eggs etc. There are no options for people who are gluten or dairy free. I travel a good deal and have always been offered these options. This was very disappointing.

The handicapped bathroom was spotless and had a very safe shower. The free hot breakfast had a large variety of foods.

Great manager, Maya. Very good staff. Good communication. Room very good, except no freezer compartment in frig. The breakfast is AWFUL. Processed crap and plastic. Limp greasy bacon. Processed scrambled eggs. These are not eggs…Hilton should renovate the kitchen and make real eggs. Not worthy of Hilton name. The base is close and lots of service folks stay at this hotel. They deserve better!!!
