I remember coming to this hotel a few years back, and the stay was good; the pool was clean. But this time, the stay was not so great. The bath walls had mold, the pool area was dirty, and let me not get started on the color and cleanliness of the pool. It was really disturbing seeing how dirty the pool was, with clumps of white stuff floating in it and oils floating on the surface. Mind you, it was not cleaned at all; the water was cloudy to the point that if you dived in, you would disappear. I am very upset of the money i waisted for 3 nights i couldn't even enjoy a swim.

The entrance lobby was bright and welcoming, and the young lady on reception (8/4/25) was pleasant and welcoming. The room was nice and clean although walls are paper thin and air con is quite loud but the swimming pool needs some attention. The sign says shower before entering, but the shower didn't work. The paint is flaking off the pool, and the cloudy water didn't make for a great experience. Overall, a pleasant stay, however, the thing that spoiled it was, despite being a no smoking hotel, the stench of weed in the hotel corridors and particularly from one room. We mentioned this on check out and were told that although it's a no smoking hotel, sometimes guests break the rules. Shocked by the response and the fact that staff seemed neither surprised, concerned, or willing to deal with the issue. Perhaps the occupant was a long-term hotel resident, but they are spoiling your other good hotel.

This hotel was ok. The room was clean and the staff was really great. But there was a lot of misinformation which made the the price a little too high. They advertise an airport shuttle which they do not have. They advertise a hot breakfast which, again, they do not have. There was a pool as advertised but the pool area had a sign that said closed. The gym was nice looking but the provided cleaning wipes for the equipment were all dried out and it was never stocked with towels. All in all, the hotel was a nice place to sleep and shower but the price should have been less since they were lacking a lot of advertised amenities. It's also the only hotel in North Haven so there aren't any other options.

We were moved to 3 different rooms. The first room, the bed was not made, dirty towels on the bathroom floor, coffee cups on the bureau, trash on the floor. The second room had a terrible smell no microwave. The third room just ok. Not the cleanest. The beds in room 1 and 2 had stains on the mattresses.

At the time of booking there were several positive reviews that in particular noted the hotel being clean which prompted me to book as we only needed a 1 night stay while passing through town. Upon arrival, I can overlook the tiredness of the hotel and the need to update many things. However, this property needs a MAJOR deep cleaning. Hallways are musty and smell of smoke; carpets are dingy, dirty, and need to be vacuumed. Trying to be positive, I hoped for better once in our room but despite red flags. Once in the room it was a relief there wasn’t a smell BUT the room was dingy and dirty! It was apparent the room hasn’t seen a vacuum with all the dirt on the floor (grass clippings along the slider, accumulation of dirt/dust, and other types of grossness that shouldn’t be on the floors but you don’t want to look too close to know). Walls are dirty, wallpaper/paint peeling, shower drain piece was pulled off and left on the tub ledge exposing the nasty drain but when you put it back where it belongs the water doesn’t drain properly so off it was left, toilet was dirty, bathroom counter was dirty, and more but I had to stop looking because the room was prepaid and calling for the room to be addressed wasn’t going to make a difference as it needs a team to REALLY clean it. Thank goodness for disinfectant wipes! We went out to watch a movie to decrease time in the room and hightailed it out in the AM. Ni blow dryer, called front desk, said they would bring one but never did.

First, a positive: the staff was lovely, I'm at three different people at the front desk and they were all wonderful. Now, the negatives: perhaps because we booked a room with a pet, we had a horrific room on the first floor, with hair on the bedsheets, bugs on the carpet, a dirty tub that wouldn't drain. It was extremely upsetting, and we left as soon as possible and had to stay at a different hotel.

This is a very old hotel, needs many upgrades. Only has one elevator which means a long walk if your room is on the other side. Unattractive lobby, hallways not kept very clean. Very small bathrooms. You can tell rooms were repainted because it was not done well. Plus was that it was near 91

It took 2 weeks to confirm an early check in request of 1pm and an extra 20 dollars. We also had late check out and what i assume was a cleaning person keyed in at 9:30am and woke me up. Walls were paper thin, the train, traffic and outside noise was loud. Would not recommend

We checked in at 10:00 PM right after my brother-in-law, who has the same last name. the staff checking us in didn’t check anyone’s names and got our rooms mixed up, giving me a room with one king bed when I had four people standing right in front of her. I called the front desk before realizing that my BIL had gotten our room (he requested a king but was given two queens). So I called the front desk again to say that we figured it out and we switched rooms. Then at 11:30 PM the front desk called and woke up my entire family, to ask what room my brother in law was in. Ummm, hello??? He’s in the other room, the one that you wrongly gave me. Ridiculous. The property is very outdated. Breakfast was adequate with waffles and lots of juice, but very dry eggs. For the price it was acceptable as there are no great options in the area, but I am still miffed that the front desk gave us the wrong rooms and then woke us up after we told them that we took care of it ourselves.

There were several issues with the hotel, most of which were addressed by the owner based on a review I posted on Google. The one chronic problem was housekeeping not checking daily to resupply coffee, TP/tissue, empty trash. Their website states housekeeping checks rooms daily, but they don't, even after I complained. Renovated rooms are nice, staff is polite. Be aware there are busy train tracks behind the hotel that might wake you if you're not normally used to hearing them. Paid for my stay in advance which I regret doing as I was ready to change hotels on day 3.

Rooms were not cleaned in time for check in which is after 3:00. We arrived at 4:30 to check in. Staff were literally hanging around the check in desk while we arrived, told us that they were understaffed and could we come back in at least an hour to check in. I then asked to get a discount on the room because nothing was ready according to them, and the front desk then called a manager over the phone to relay my request, which did not happen. However within 30 seconds of that phone call, the rooms MIRACULOUSLY were cleaned and were released. Both my husband and I felt as if the front desk approach was unprofessional. They in fact stated "it's not our fault that the rooms are cleaned in time". We arrived to our room and it smelled as if it wasn't vacuumed , but my husband was so tired from our travels that he didn't care to make another fuss to change rooms. On a positive note, the bed and bedding were very comfortable.

We just wanted a little time away from the kids, dogs, etc. our house only 10 minutes away! It was exactly what we needed! We requested a room away from the elevator, to avoid the noise, they placed us in the back of the hotel. The only thing we barely heard, was the train! Perfect!! Reception at check in and check out was great, room was spotless! Breakfast included was great. The only thing that was not working was 1 of the elevators, but there was another one and only 2 floors in total. Pool and gym were available, not crowded.

Overall, it was OK. Staff was trying hard but the hotel needs better systems. They gave our room to new guests because the room was in their system as vacant despite us checking in the night before. Keys needed to be reset a couple times at the front desk. Not in a rush to go back but would go back if it was necessary.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds for 4 nights. The evening of our send night, we had no hot water. We thought the water heater just needed to have time to catch up to the hot water use. The next morning, we still did not have hot water. We reported it to the front desk. We also requested the provide clean towels and empty our garbage. They stated they only service the rooms every three days but would have house keeping provide a "refresh service". They also stated they would report to maintenance the hot water issue. When we returned to the room that evening, still no hot water, no clean towels and the garbage had not been emptied. I went to the front desk and requested clean towels and for the garbage to be emptied. The front desk clerk stated he would be up shortly and address those issues. I informed him that we still did not have hot water. He stated he was aware and maintenance stated they had problems with the water heater for some of the rooms. The front desk clerk then stated he would see if another room was clean and available. He moved us to another room. This room was smaller, double beds, not queen sized beds, no table, smaller refrigerator. We reserved and paid for the larger room, were moved to a smaller room and were without hot water for 24 hours. We were still charged full price for the smaller room and lack of hot water for 24 hours.

This is a pet-friendly hotel. I am very allergic to pets, so I called the hotel and they told me pets are only permitted on the first floor, so they gave me a room on the second floor (which was great). However, I got a room on the second floor at the BACK of the hotel. There is a train (Amtrak?) that passes the back of the hotel every hour or so at night, much more frequently on workdays after 6am. It definitely woke me up at 6am on Monday. Hard to ignore a train passing by. Overall a good hotel, especially for the price. Next time I would get a room on the second floor at the FRONT of the hotel.

I loved this hotel and would stay again. The breakfast is very filling and kept me full most of the day. There were a lot of hot items (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries). There were also bagels, English muffins, juice, etc. The staff was very pleasant, and check in was a breeze. There was a coffee machine after the check-in desk with multiple coffee options (regular coffee, lattes, expresso, etc). That was a nice touch. The channels on the TV were extensive with four HBOs, sports, etc. The location is convenient and right off of I-91. You can't miss it. The only criticism is that there is a commuter rail that comes through here quite often. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room at the front of the hotel.

Staff was wonderful. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times under different brands. It definitely is due for a refresh. I believe it was built @1974. Shelly at breakfast does a nice job. Location is good for my visits.

Nice room but many channels did not work properly (the screen would freeze). Went for breakfast at 8:30 and they were out of almost everything. No eggs, no potatoes, no sausage and even their was no more coffee. Kitchen worker said they had m no I food left and blamed it on poor management. Spoke to front desk and they said to call Expedia so they could contact the hotel manager to give me a discount on my stay. I said my wife and I look for breakfast so we can save money by not going to a restaurant. Hallways had food or something everywhere. Coffee at front desk was Luke warmer and tasted like mud (probably from night before since she said they were waiting for a food delivery (poor management).

We stayed one night on our way home from Maine. Room was clean, spacious and very comfy. Kids had fun in the pool but the water was pretty cold. We had dinner in the restaurant/bar and the food was fine. The menu sounded impressive but food was simple. Breakfast was very good.

Facility feels old and tired; staff are slow and don’t convey any hospitality. No one at the front desk at 9 pm for check-in. By the time they returned, had seven people waiting. Room was adequate. “Hot Breakfast until 9” …. or dirty plates, unkept food area, empty coffee pot, no selection, watery “eggs,” cold sausage patties, no syrup for waffles (only truly hot item), and dirty tables.
