Rooms are clean, and the bed is very comfortable. The hallways are shabby, with periodic cuts in the wall paper, which looks like some type of analysis was done. It was disappointing to have to pay $25 per night to park.

Overall, to stay went well. But the only reason I selected. This hotel is because it had a pool, but upon arrival they shared that the pool was out of service for about over a month which I wish they would've shared on the website or when I called to confirm. They only also provide coffee and tea, but no continental breakfast.

I was very disappointed to find out only after i checked in that the pool was out of order. I specifically booked this property because of the pool. I spoke to the front desk and they told me that it was shared with the 3rd party company (expedia) but it is not listed there when i booked.

The Stamford Hotel (Sheraton) is now independently owned. Renovations currently going on. Pool closed indefinitely. Restaurant closed indefinitely. Only dinner served in the bar starting at 5:00. Snack area has a lot to choose from. However staff was very helpful. Room was clean. Didn’t hear renovations.

This hotel is getting very rundown. The carpets are stained, the wallpaper has tears and the counter in the bathroom had pieces peeling off. The shower didn’t drain properly, and we did tell the front desk several times. They said they sent someone up, but it still wasn’t fixed. We’ve stayed there many times before, as we have family in the area, but I’m not sure we’ll stay again.

When We first got there there were strands of dark hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower still. We didn't make a big deal and just cleaned it up ourselves. But the reason why I will never stay at this hotel again is that upon arrival back home a few hours away we found bed bugs on our stuff that had been left in the room! Disgusting. They claimed to have had the room checked out and that it turned up empty but there's no way that's true. Lesson learned. We really enjoyed our stay otherwise, but will never be back or recommend.

During my three-day stay, the room was never cleaned, no clean towels were provided, and the wall near the air conditioner is covered in mold and mildew. The shower drain has a horrible smell, and the main light in the room is out. This is a real shame for guests who want to rest.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! My room was infested with BED BUGS & FLEAS, making the stay not only uncomfortable but also a serious health risk. The cleanliness was unacceptable, and the overall condition of the room was appalling. I will not be returning and urge others to consider alternative accommodations.

Very unclean. Pillows were flat and lumpy. Linens were not clean. Dust everywhere. Dirty towels. Looked like it had not been upgraded in years. Looked like there was mold. AC was broken. Never stay here

This is a one night stay hotel. I had a medical procedure and couldn’t drive. The lobby and conference areas are spectacular. The room needs major upgrades. The carpet is stained and dirty. The rest of the room was clean. The pillows were flat and dirty. The pillow cases were clean. The room had an old musty smell. I would not stay at this hotel again. The staff was okay.

The hotel is in need of updating. The most surprising thing to me was the wallpaper peeling off the walls in the hallways, like a scene out of a movie. Floors were stained, curtains looked dingy, they had to change my room because the first one looked so run down, I felt like I was in an old motel. The second room was better, but even the frame on the mirror was all scratched like they had come from a second-hand store. Please update everything!

It was a nice place. Two important suggestions. 1) there is no power outlet on one side of the bed, so nothing could be plugged in, eg phone charger or anything else.this is a big shortcoming in this day and age. 2) the bathroom needs either a nightlight or the ability to have just a modest light source. The full mirror light and the recessed light are ridiculously bright if you have to enter the bathroom during the night. They're great for shaving or makeup, but as a night light source, they're way overpowering.. The TV remote is clunky and slow to react to channel changes. Perhaps an upgrade to the cable service would help.

Thin walls (literally heard people all night from all sides of my room it seemed) a lot of updates need to happen in the rooms, night stand was not sturdy, sink was slow and loud to drain, not great circulation in gym area. Photos give the property a different look. Upon entering the hotel it has a decent bar and presence however the rooms are VERY dated. Every room had 1 light which emitted very dull lighting. The mirror in the bathroom was supposed to light up for makeup and didn’t work. There were 2 hairs in the bottom of the tub when I arrived which makes me think it was not cleaned AND the windows were filthy. AC unit was loud and barely cooled off my room, however my friends AC in her room was much better. Spending $200 for 1 in this place was a rip off. I would not stay again

The room was nice and comfortable but a little outdated with the wallpaper (has some cracks) and the carpet inside the room and outside in the hallway. The bathroom was small and we found it strange there was only one door not the typical sliding two doors. So you have to be careful and place lots of towels on the floor as to catch any water onto the bathroom floor. Tv was difficult to navigate as there is no option for Netflix and not much channels to choose from and the remote was bulky and old. Overall it was a good experience I just wish it was more updated and modern as advertised on Expeadia. Oh and parking is $20 per day so that’s an extra cost you need to factor if you are staying here for several days.

The Lobby was the most updated part of the hotel. The rooms were very outdated and the hallway had wallpaper that was ripped and coming off the wall. The rooms were poorly lighted and one of our lamps didn't work at all. There weren't enough outlets to plug in our devices. Was just overall disappointed that the room didn't look as polished as the front lobby. We would've stayed in the lobby if we could.

Bed was really comfy. Shower didn’t drain, so when you took a shower your feet were always underwater. Plus couldn’t figure out how the tv worked. It seemed really expensive for what it was

Rude staff. Impolite while answering your questions. I request too many time to fix some water issue in WC no answer ! No service cleaning upon request 24 hrs ! So if you’re not aware you will stay 24-48 with dirty WC no towels no shampoo. I paid for my kids from a nearby store to give them shower !

Overall, not a great experience at the Stamford Hotel. When we arrived we were immediately told that the system was down and that we were going to be unable to access our room with our key, so we'd have to get escorted to our room by security. No problem with these, as we know that issues happen. The problem arises when you inform the staff you'd like to access your room and they take thirty mins to help you. The staff was rude and uncordial. They made my room go through a service elevator which was really dirty. Additioanlly, the air conditioning was really loud. Not the greatest experience. The staff could have handle it better. On the bright side, they did provude us with great recommendations of things to do in Stamford.

The Stamford never disappoints. I stay there at least once a month and sometimes twice a month. The rooms are nicely sized with a very comfortable bed and good pillows. The staff is helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Once I picked up takeout with a side order of fries and forgot to get ketchup. Even though the restaurant was closed a staff member found me ketchup in the kitchen.

Ari at the reception desk was 5 STARS! I talked to her by phone, probably 6 months ahead of our arrival, as I had plenty of questions regarding the location, and our planned attendance of the Ryder Cup in NY. She was spot on then, and made it a point to introduce herself upon our arrival. Also, our bartender in the restaurant was extremely helpful with recommendations and service. The food was also great, as we had dinner there twice.

The check in at the hotel was OK. Staff did not really inform at all about any of the amenities such as the pool, parking or restaurant/bar hours and where everything was located. We first got the room 501 and we were extremely disappointed. The room wasn’t clean. Found hairs on the bathroom door and on the bed sheets. Bed sheets were super old and stained. Not enough light in the room. Need to add some more. Furniture is coming apart!!!! Gotta be changed all asap. The wallpaper it’s been patched multiple times and it’s bad. The court aims need to be changed. After complaining, they moved us to room 846. Room was the same but cleaner and with more natural light. Although the furniture is still coming apart and needs to be replaced and updated. Rooms do not have usb charger which it’s a downside for nowadays. Shower pressure is great actually and hot water comes right away. They should have available a dryer, a better iron and a steamer. We had a wedding and while I was ironing my husbands shirt, I realized that the iron was staining this expensive shirt. I asked front desk for a dryer an didn’t have, asked for a steamer and didn’t have so they just gave me a new iron that looked exact the same as the old one. I got the rate per night for $61 but the original rate is over $200 which is extremely expensive for the service they provide and the state of the building. Will come back just if I get a deal.

Mo the bartender was very personable and fun. Woman at the front desk during check out was very rude. She did not give a receipt for our stay, stating very rudely, we booked through a third party, and she could not give us a receipt. She did not explain why, just said she couldn't do it.

After I checked in, I found a card in my room stating that 24 hours notice was required for housekeeping services. Since check/in occurs in the afternoon, there is no opportunity to have your room cleaned the following morning if you have a two nights stay. Frustrating.

I reached out to the manager to notify them of a situation and did not get a response. This is what I said: the toilet in my room became clogged after normal use and overflowed, causing water to spill into the bathroom and hallway. As a result, I had to be moved to another room in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, the situation was handled in a way that caused further discomfort. No towels or floor protection were provided, which meant I had to carry my heavy luggage through dirty water, leaving my shoes and belongings wet. This was not only unpleasant but also unsanitary. I had asked the engineer and staff to bring me towels. The staff expressed frustration and when he brought the towels, plopped them in a pile that I couldn’t reach. I expressed that I couldn’t reach and the point was so I didn’t have to walk through dirty water and he just walked away. They were scraps and were quickly absorbed by water aside from the fact I couldn’t even reach them. While I understand that plumbing issues can happen, the response should have ensured my safety and comfort. I believe the hotel could have done more to assist me during this disruptive experience. I was also rushed to get out, it is my hope that I left nothing. Especially in the bathroom which was full of water making it inaccessible for me to gather all of my things with a clear mind. The new room I was given was dirty however no other rooms available or could be cleaned late at night

This hotel was a perfect stop for us on our way to Boston coming from North Carolina. We were able to get on the other side of NYC to beat traffic the next day. The location is within walking distance to downtown with lots of options for food and drinks.

Needed a place close to Chelsea Piers for a weekend competition and this hotel exceeded my expectations. Very clean and quiet and convenient both to the event and local restaurants. Firm mattresses with nice soft pillows. Although I don't like paying for parking in general, the garage had plenty of space and was convenient and easy to access.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a handful of times when I’m in the area for work and it’s been a consistent experience everything. Staff is friendly, restaurant/bar is always good with great service from the bartender. Room is clean and quiet. Parking is available and with my VIP Expedia credit, it’s only $4, can’t beat that. This will be go to every time in Stamford

It was a nice hotel. Hotel hallways could use some updating, but overall for the rate I paid, it was a very good choice. Staff was very friendly and room was clean and comfortable. Food/Drink at the bar was also very good.

Oh wow, we had another great time. Bartender Maricio was great. Terrance the cook came out and he told us about the salmon with pilaf rice and vegetables that is a great meal. He was not wrong, it was the best salmon I had in a while. He was great talking to the guest. Have not seen that in years. Wish they had a buffet breakfast for the guest for a fee. But we had a blast.
