Best Western Plus Newark/Christiana Inn

Overall the room and staff were good. Room was clean. The bed was in need of being replaced. Could feel the springs in the mattress. Plenty of parking and was convenient to gas stations and breweries.

The Staff is amazing, specially in the front desk.

Best part will always be hot water and pressure in the shower. The pool was available from 0700-2000, most only have a limited time. Also, breakfast included is a plus.

Everything was perfect.

Despite advertising a pool and hot tub and displaying both as their thumbnail for the listing, the hotel did not have a pool/hot tub as advertised. When questioned about it, the front desk attendant said that it was closed for renovations that “just started today”. There was no maintenance/construction crew present throughout the duration of my stay. Mind you I had called to confirm the hours the pool would be open the day before my check in date. An added bonus was that I had to go to the front desk every day (sometimes multiple times in a day) to get my key card reprogrammed even when I made sure that the key cards came into no contact with anything magnetic (cell phones, credit cards etc.) The facilities were well kept and clean is about the only positive experience about staying there. They did nothing about a few loud parties that went on throughout the week, and housekeeping never showed up at all, the A/c unit had to be kept at full power to chill the room even slightly in early spring weather. If you’re in a pinch and just need a place to lay your head for a night or two then by all means but if you’re looking for any kind of actual hospitality service then look elsewhere
