Ramada by Wyndham Davenport Orlando South

The room was really nice , property under construction so it looked scary and awful . The pool and gym were closed as i only thought was gym.

Though the building is dated for the age of the building it was very clean and I must say the staff very friendly. The breakfast seemed very limited and then the last day of my stay I discovered that you had to ask for different items of breakfast. I wish I had them known that earlier I was traveling with a child and I had to go purchase breakfast everyday because there are so many people that live in the building as soon as breakfast starts at 6:30 by 6:40 everything was gone. Even the juice but the beds were very comfortable I was there for a week 7 days the housekeeper came twice once the empty the trash and once she cleaned the room. A lot of things missing that are normally in a hotel room like there's no phone in the room I found that kind of odd It was missing the ice tray for the bucket found that kind of odd but I did enjoy having a patio right outside my room. Overlooking the pool The weather was very chilly so didn't get a chance to use the pool. There was no elevator but some of her employees are people that live in the building help me carry my items upstairs because like I said I was traveling with a child and we were there for a week so I had quite a bit of luggage. Though I did have to carry my own stuff back down at the end I couldn't find those nice people. What I stay at the Ramada again they say that they're updating in 2024 If I couldn't find another hotel I probably would stay there again once they update.

A very deteriorated property in need of multiple repairs / improvements. Some outside doors do not lock at night (unsafe). Insects are visible in the rooms, (roaches. And ants), some faucets leaks (shower head), amenities are not functioning as advertised ( pools not functioning, continental breakfast offer only in certain days). Very disappointing stayed will not visit that hotel again.

Garbage is everywhere, used mattresses are in the parking lot, and the exercise center is closed. The receptionist at the front desk didn't even know they had one when I asked! I found this room very noisy. It is adjacent to both I4 and FL27, and sirens went off all night. Combine that noise with the din created by the heating and cooling system, and a good night's sleep will not be in your future. There was only decaf coffee in the room, and when I went to the front desk to try to get regular coffee, I was told they had none. Until this property has finished its renovation, I'd find somewhere else to spend your hard-earned dollars.

Property was quiet. Check in and check out was simple. I did not like that the pool was closed majority of trip. Breakfast was only til 9 which made it impossible to get any. I also did not like that there was no microwave or coffee maker in room. Other then that, the staff was nice .

Sliding door lock was broken. Front desk indicated they were aware of it and said it was still safe - seriously?

The room keys don’t work, Not wifi, the Pool don’t look clean

We had a renovated room, which was very nice. However, we asked for a first floor room, but they were not renovated. There was no elevator to the second floor rooms that were renovated. We met and passed many other seniors who also have a problem getting up and down stairs. Also, the ice machine didn't work and there was only one that I could find. Walking up and down stairs in search of a working ice machine is a hard no for us. Also there was the issue of a deposit, which we were told upon check-in had not been charged, so we gave another credit card for a deposit. That card was not charged, but another card we had given for that purpose was charged. The front desk, at check out, assured us it was just a hold. Still waiting for the deposit "hold" to drop off. One night in a sub par hotel. We are in our 50's for one night. It is not as if we were spring breakers on the beach. I would not recommend this place..

grounds not maintained, gym equipment broken, doors not secured at night,broken ice machine, bathtub unsafe and did not drain, toilet not flushing properly, mattress horrible, we've stayed here many times, worst room yet!!

Got to hotel and it looked empty due to renovation. Got checked in and found out there would be no breakfast due to truck not showing up. 2 days in a row according to the woman speaking on the phone to I assume another worker there while checking me in. Got to room couldn’t plug the coffee maker in where it was had to move it to the night stand. There was no ice in two ice makers. The door to outside sliding door didn’t lock. The door leading to the parking lot wouldn’t let me back in had to walk back to front. And the hotel rooms need work in the bathrooms. Pretty rusty things.

The carpet dirty make me sick, I got sick just spending the night there.

I killed 6 cockroaches in our room! The room are so damaged and dirty. I don’t even know if the sheets were changed!!!

It was not clean. My room.

Te room was not clean at all, the bathroom was terrible, even the handle of the toilet was broken. The sheets on the bed were dirty, it was little rouches waking by the windows frames. I will never comeback to this hotel.

carpet in hallways and room was dirty - sheets were washed (hopefully) but were stained. bathroom fixtures were stained - rust. The hotel placed a sign that said THERE WILL NOT BE A BREAKFAST SERVED TOMORROW - - No apology, just this is the way it is - deal with it! I prepaid for 2 days - we left after one day and I asked for a credit to my card for the day we did not stay. Clerk said she did not have the authority to do this. Poor people skillls. We mentioned we saw a bug run under the microwave - - she said there was NOT a bug. I don't understand why Wyndham/Ramada allowed their name to be used on this property.

The hotel is being updated, so there is potential for improvement in the future. The room itself looks nice, unfortunately on top of my well-made bed was a bunch of dirt on one side. The floor was sticky & there were bugs, dead & alive in the bathroom. Getting into the hotel was quite easy as you don’t need to use a room key to enter the doors all the way in the unlit back of the building. The hallway reeked of various smoke odors, but the room itself smelled better.

Hallways looked DISGUSTING! It was so filthy and falling apart I was shocked as I’ve never seen this with an hotel. The room itself didn’t look bad and actually looked quite updated . BUT the amount of roaches and ants I experienced was traumatizing! I’ve never seen a roach or ants in a hotel but there was sooooo many to the point I didn’t even feel comfortable sleeping . The first night I was sleeping I got waken up at 5 in the morning cause I felt something on me… it was a roach. So the second night I didn’t even really sleep; I checked out the next morning and don’t plan on EVER booking this hotel again unless they get an exterminator and CLEAN THE HALLWAYS ! I attatched photos of a couple roaches I had to kill and ants… and that wasn’t even all of them!

Good - The front receptionist (Jany) was lovely and I appreciated her attentiveness to our check in and issues we had while there. Bad - The property is filthy (beyond the remodel). Our room was clean but the towels were musty, the garbage outside was overfilling, the hall carpet was disgusting, the 2nd floor at the top of the stairs reeked of pot, the windows were filthy. Breakfast is supposed to be until 9:00am but they had it all tore down at 8:45. If you say it's open till 9, make it so - otherwise, give us the time you'll start putting it away so we can make accommodations! The lady who was cleaning it told us that it was "all broken", nor did she seem to care. Jany was kind enough to get us some pastries and apples. My daughter really wanted waffles but... oh well. (we didn't get waffles on our first morning there either because "they were filling the machine" but never did in the time we were down there which was about 20 min. We had to reprogram our room keys 3x and we didn't have them near electronics. We get that remodeling can be a task but when you clearly just give up on everything else during that time, that doesn't bode well for guests. You still need to vacuum the carpets, etc.

Our stay was great. The inside of the rooms was immaculate very nice and clean and updated. Don't judge by the outside because its being renovated

Just an overnight stay. Hotel was somewhat clean. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was super clean and soft. Slept like a baby. Shower pressure was so good, probably the best pressure I’ve seen in a hotel. Didn’t like that the pool was still down for maintenance. In previous reviews from a few weeks ago it was closed. This is Florida and it’s almost a must that there’s a pool! Was disappointed that even though I asked for a late checkout, housekeeping still knocked on my door a few times disturbing my sleep. Overall hotel was okay, would stay there again.

Checking in and checking out was a pleasant experience. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom needed a bit of work, the grab handle on the wall was coming out of the wall, the shower curtain holder was too big for the shower rod; curtain kept sliding wetting outside the tub. Overall good

We have bad experience in hotel for 2 days without water very hard to use bathrooms and shower, the hallways was very dirty and stinky I would no recommend it to no one.

Updated, clean remodeled room was great. There was a lack of security. Anyone could walk into the building without having an access key

Although I received an email warning me that they were under repair, we had other issues. When we arrived, the air conditioner in the room wasn't working, and we had to call three times to get it fixed; the room hadn't been cleaned properly.

Building was in some disrepair. Room floor had a slippery film in the room. Shower had no cold water, too hot for my son to shower.

The property is just old and tired. Dirty. Dingy. Peeling paint inside the unit. A couple of random bugs crawling around on the walls. the air conditioner cannot get the room below 78 degrees all night long. No tv. I didn't know they still made units that did not have ATV.

I booked for a different date and when I went in to correct it the lady at the front desk told me she was unable to do anything because the Wi-Fi was down and refused to help me in any case. When I talked to Expedia about how I was treated they offered to waive the cancelation penalty which the motel denied even tho it was their fault. Don’t recommend unless u like being treated like trash.

Alma oquendo was amazing she made sure our room was very clean , made sure we had everything we needed!!! I appreciate her and the front desk for making our stay very easy and feel comfortable.

Desk clerk at check in was definitely NOT friendly! The night clerk, however, was very pleasant.

Staff was great

The rooms were dirty and no one came to clean. The appliances and the bathroom were both broken. When we asked the front desk for help they claimed that they were short staffed but offered no help. They also tried keeping our security deposit claiming it was us who damaged the room. We have video recording of the status of the room when we first received it. The hotel and Expedia offered no help or compensation for the inconvenience.

Very nice for the price. Room was clean. Evening shift front desk was very rude.

I really enjoyed my stay here so much that i ended up booking a few extra days after my initial stay was done. The staff and desk manager are super friendly, very helpful and super professional. The room was nice and cold (ac), the internet was fast (was gaming on a laptop using their wifi), the king size bed was huge and comfortable, and the environment was very peaceful and quiet. This will definitely be my go to when visiting the area in the future!

Its a good place too stay u can see the pool from your room and all the shopping and eating you want is right in the area not 2 miles

I like where the property was located. However, some of the staff members were not pleasant.

This hotel was terrible. The common areas were dirty. There was a homeless man sleeping in the down stairs hallway. The outside doors were enabled with key card entry. They didnt work. You could get in without a key. There was a cockroach in the stair well. There was fighting in the parking lot. The whole place smelled of marijuana. The breakfast was awful. The machines such as the juice were broken & empty for the 2 mornings i was there. They had to send a staff to the grocery store to buy juice. More often then not there was no one at the front desk to discuss the problems The pull out bed in our room was horribly broken. I had to wait for 30 mins for a staff member to check out. The pool was drained. They laughed at me when i asked about it & blamed it on spring break. There was loud music at all hours of the night. Trash thrown about the whole hotel. I cant even begin to tell you how awful this place was!

It was a lot of foot traffic around the hotel and some people hang outside by the entrance door who made the situation uncomfortable.

Price was good. But unsafe. Exterior door locks did not work and when I went to check out the room the sliding door to the first floor outside patio was open. A killer could have been in room. No phones in rooms. I understand the remodeling excuse but no phones in room in terrible. Night clerk was very nice. Did not stay and it took three days to put in claim for refund. Honestly, the state of Florida needs to close this place down until they have completed the remodel. Don't risk it. I know the price is appealing, but don't risk it. Do not stay here.

It was not well lit. Grounds not that inviting. Was traveling alone and it did not give a safe fresh feeling at all. Dirty. Run down. Very scary.

This hotel is by far the worst, grossest, most run down hotel I’ve ever been to. The room was the most disgusting thing ever, it smelled awful. The carpet was stained and dirty. The toilet, tile and vanity in the bathroom were stained and chipped. The toilet ran the entire night. They advertised a pool but was in maintenance. We only stayed 1 night but i wouldn't go back. The front desk guy was not very courteous either. The only good thing I must say is that trying to rush out of there we left some shoes and we called to see of they found then, at first they said no but fortunately about an hour later we received a call from the hotel telling us they had them and we could pick them up. So I appreciate the honesty and the call back. Appearance and cleanliness are VERY important in hospitality. It did not feel safe to stay here.

If you’re on a tight budget, this is a good place to stay, but please don’t have any high expectations. I wish the pictures were more accurate to the actual listing. Definitely look like they were filtered and only set up for picture purposes. The staff was very nice, I never seen the continental breakfast unless they put it away before 930. This definitely would be a low budget hotel but for the prices what you get. Did not see any crime or negative individuals in the area so that’s a plus. The depart is it’s located right next to the highway Access story of Bob Evans, Chick-fil-A and across the street you have Cracker Barrel

The paint on the doors is falling off. The bathroom looks very ugly. The bathtub is stained. The shower leaks. The carpet had a torn piece. The room smells bad. There are cockroaches. In the breakfast juice machine, where it says Apple, it comes out pure water, and the orange juice looks like colored water. Breakfast is removed at 9 am, not at 9.30 am as they say. On the other hand, the staff is very attentive.

I was pretty much only on-site to sleep and have breakfast. First day was Saturday night so Sunday morning went to get breakfast and there was very minimal items. Bread and bagels (mini), about half a dozen half cut donuts, and fortunately a lady eating told me I had to ask for a plate of scrambled eggs and sausage(singular). I was able to get a second plate too. I had to ask for OJ too. It was good, but could have had a few more. The next day the area where the eggs were was closed and I asked the front desk worker where I could get the eggs and she replied that’s ONLY served weekends. WHAT A LETDOWN. All that was available were 2 thermos’ coffee, about 8 half donuts and the bread and bagels. Needless to say, in a 5 night/morning stay, I only was at the breakfast table twice. Overall, the stay was fine, and even though a lot of the hotel occupants were people living there, it was very quiet and I was impressed with that.

We didn’t know you were remodeling and receiving clients at the same time. The breakfast offer was all microwave warmed and could not be eaten.

Overall the rooms were beautifully designed since they were recently renovated. The outside still needs work. I will suggest a better breakfast selection and at least longer service since most tourist sleeps a little longer. 6am to 9 am is the one of breakfast. Will recommend at least 10 am or 11am.

Many things - 1. Cold and hot water reversed in shower and sink. 2. Badly Cracked sidewalk - hazardous. 3. Weekday breakfast horrible, little food, not even any juices. No attendant. 4). No available shower chair for husband with prosthetic leg (office person was arrogant about it. 5). Door to outside wont shut so not secure at night. 6). No maid service although we were asked 1of 3 days if we needed anything. 7. Toilet seat was wobbly but maintenance came and fixed it promptly when reported.
