The resort has great potential. It is conveniently located on Sanibel Harbor and very close to Captiva Island. I think the main areas of the resort are beautiful but the guest rooms need some updating. They were clean, but it felt like they were really old, in the gray interior was a depressing. Need new, larger beds too. Most staff was very friendly & helpful. The fine dining restaurant had good menu, excellent food, staff. Pool bar closed at 5 My family's biggest issue was we had left one hotel, moved over to here for a weeklong vacation. Little did we know that all the restaurants closed early or were not open at all. Plus several amenities that were advertised on the website were not actually available on the resort. I was very annoyed because I had called Marriott asking questions about some of the amenities prior to our arrival and it was never revealed that they did not actually have these services anymore. We were happy to be able to see the sunset from this hotel and the convenient location. However, I know my family was disappointed that this resort did not have as many amenities and the restaurants were closed early. Despite the fact it was July. If this information had been revealed to me, we probably would not have come to the hotel at this time or had a shorter visit. It's a nice region and explored the area. After the vacation, my family had revealed that they wish we had spent our whole vacation at the first resort in Port Charlotte.

⭐ My experience at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour was excellent. The location is simply spectacular, right in front of the bay, with beautiful views towards Sanibel and Captiva. The sunsets from the room or common areas are unforgettable. The staff was very kind and attentive at all times. From the front desk to the restaurant service and housekeeping, everyone made sure my stay was comfortable and pleasant. I felt very well taken care of. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I loved that it had a balcony with an ocean view—it was one of the best moments of the trip to relax there. The pools are spotless and there are several options, both indoor and outdoor, which is perfect for enjoying in any weather. Plus, the spa is a great bonus if you’re looking to fully relax. As for the food, the resort has several restaurants with varied and very good quality options. I recommend having dinner at sunset in the waterfront restaurant—it’s a beautiful experience. In summary, it’s an ideal place to rest, enjoy as a couple or with family, and disconnect. I would definitely stay here again.

Considering the Marriott brand, I had higher expectations for our stay, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing for both me and my family. The hotel consists of two towers, and we were assigned to the one called “Captiva.” Our initial impression was quite negative—the tower appeared neglected, with a pervasive odor of dampness and age throughout. The in-room television was not functional upon our arrival, and it took two service calls before someone came to fix it. Entertainment options were extremely limited, with the only available activities being swimming in the pool or watching TV. Moreover, the tower lacked essential amenities such as a bar, cafeteria, or restaurant. To access any food or beverages, we had to take a hotel trolley to the other tower, which was inconvenient and detracted from the overall experience. The one redeeming aspect of our stay was the restaurant service in the main tower, where we enjoyed breakfast on two occasions. The staff there provided excellent service, which was a bright spot in an otherwise underwhelming and costly two-night stay.

The property is divided into two separate buildings. We ended up in captiva tower which is a building away from main building with all the shops and restaurant but over all the hotels have golf carts that shuttle you to and from.

Property was beautiful. Very clean. Staff at front desk were very friendly but not knowledgeable about the area when asked questions. Was disappointed that although property was on the water it was rocky and you could not walk on beach. Two small man made type beaches for sun bathing are here. Also many ridiculous charges in the fine print including a daily facilities service charge and a daily fee for parking. We only stayed one night. The cost and fees were not a good value in my opinion.

The property lost power twice while we were there, backup generators did not work. There was no emergency lighting in stairwells or common areas. The staff seemed confused on what to do (no announcement was made, there was no organization or assistance to the guests, they handed out glowsticks as a means to light dark areas). We were forced to find alternate lodging as eventually, our room got very hot. We were not give any refunds or comps, as the staff said the situation was beyond their control. (One staff member told us the generators have been down for months.) We had to use our phones to navigate the stairwells to get up and down to/from our room, which was a convoluted, confusing maze.

The pool area was nice and had ocean view. However the room was not cleane. There was a big blood stain on bedframe. There was also stwin on carpet. My children and I woke up with big welts on arms and legs. I was highly disappointed with this marriog hotel. I will never stay here again or recommend anyone due to room cleanliness. Its old and nothing luxurious or nice about it.

For the rate I paid I expected cleaner property. My room had issues, the water coming out of the faucet in the sink and shower head was very strong splashing everywhere. I called service to fix they said they did however I did not see any change. The toilet flushes on its own every 20 minutes all night. The room was infested with flying ants. And to top all this a roach was next to my bed. I complained to the front desk all they did is move me to another room. The second room still has bugs issues. No compensation of any kind. Nada Latif

Our room smelled because of the carpets not being cleaned also an upholster chair in the room was dirty too. Looks like they did not vacuum our room before we checked in because there were a lot of debris on the carpets. Waited a long time for our room to be cleaned the next day and pool area was really dirty. People left their empty cups and dishes everywhere.

Fantastic spar! Few issues with the tv but was moved to room where it worked. Still Trying to recover from the storm 2 years ago. Rooms were clean food was good. Hallway floors were dirty! All in all was a good few days!

It was not so exciting unfortunately, I woke up with bed bug bites. Our room wasn’t cleaned until we requested at the last day. Lobby smelled moldy. Restaurants were expensive and the quality did not do it justice. The coffee shop could use better coffee grounds. Rooms and hallways need a decor update. They need better or offer more activity calendar. Bell hop were the best and friendliest. They should provide a map of things to do

Take note - this property is not in a beach as stated on Hotels.com - its water front. Pier has not been fixed since hurricane. Did not like living in “other upgraded tower” - nothing upgraded about it and rooms need change of carpet inclusive of replacement of rusted fixtures in the showers. Resorts fee is ok - but 20.00 for self parking outside with huge signs stating NO RESPONSIBILITY is a bit much. It’s not the money - but seem like a double standard. This property really has potential once they put it together - at the moment it feels post hurricane. Staff is very good and accommodating - property needs improvements. if you go stay in the main building !

The staff was so welcoming and kind. Upon arrival, Frank welcomed me warmly, and upon departure, Nelson was equally kind. The front desk staff and restaurant personnel were wonderful as was the food I enjoyed there. It was a relaxing week at the hotel and its beautiful setting on Sanibel.

This was my wife's and I second stay here at Marriott Sanibel Harbour resort to celebrate our anniversary and it was simply wonderful. The facilities are beautiful with 3 pools, restaurants, a gym and minutes to Sanibel Island beaches. The quality of service stands out as one of the best experiences we've encountered. Management was professional yet personable and accommodating. The many staff we encountered were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Our room overlooking the pool along with the waterfront views were stunning. The room was cleaned daily. I just cant express how great this stay turned out to be for both of us. We now have a wonderful anniversary memory and look forward to many more stays in the future.

It is at a good location. Most staff were very nice. Things I didn’t like: No entertainment. The pool bar needs more friendly bartenders. For the price of drinks the quality should be as high as the cost. Ie: the mix you use for pina coladas is awful. One of the worst I’ve ever had. The alcohol content in the drinks is almost non existent. The server taking orders at the pool couldn't remember who ordered the drinks . The housekeeping of our room was less than acceptable. We had to call two days in a row to have our room serviced. The waste basket in the bathroom was emptied but the one in the main part of the room, which was full, wasn’t emptied. The tissue box was empty . One toilet tissue roll was empty . There were no spares left in the room. The shower had a weak output while the sink had extremely high water pressure. While we were in the pool. A towel attendant had moved our lounge chairs and personal belongings to another area of the pool without our knowledge. My sister in law was frantic as her purse with her wallet, cash & id was taken with the chairs. His reason was that the chairs were blocking the way. That was not true because the chairs were placed where we were, by a staff person. We were there for hours . Thankfully when we found where he placed them our personal belongings were still there. They could easily been taken. His lack of notifying us before moving our belongings is inexcusable. Very surprising & disappointing for a Marriott resort.

Great location and great view. Check in was smooth, and bartender at pool area was great, but overall service was bad. Food locations were understaffed. Servers avoiding guests. Coffee shop area had one staff person taking orders and making orders at morning rush. Food was terrible. Hosts at the restaurant were running back to the gift shop to ring people at the register. Kids jumping in pool fountain with no security or staff to advise them it was against the rules.

The resort has great potential. It is conveniently located on Sanibel Harbor and very close to Captiva Island. I think the main areas of the resort are beautiful but the guest rooms need some updating. They were clean, but it felt like they were really old, in the gray interior was a depressing. Need new, larger beds too. Most staff was very friendly & helpful. The fine dining restaurant had good menu, excellent food, staff. Pool bar closed at 5 My family's biggest issue was we had left one hotel, moved over to here for a weeklong vacation. Little did we know that all the restaurants closed early or were not open at all. Plus several amenities that were advertised on the website were not actually available on the resort. I was very annoyed because I had called Marriott asking questions about some of the amenities prior to our arrival and it was never revealed that they did not actually have these services anymore. We were happy to be able to see the sunset from this hotel and the convenient location. However, I know my family was disappointed that this resort did not have as many amenities and the restaurants were closed early. Despite the fact it was July. If this information had been revealed to me, we probably would not have come to the hotel at this time or had a shorter visit. It's a nice region and explored the area. This is a phenomenal resort/hotel. I can't speak to the spa side because we didn't make it that far but the staff at this resort were very friendly. They offer 24 hour valet which is nice (I personally saved 10 bucks a day and just used self parking since it is right next to the entrance anyway). We chose to rent a "waterfront" room and I can't complain. The views were beautiful. Our room over looked Sanibel island. We could see dolphins from our balcony daily. This resort is at the base of the bridge to take you to the island on the ft myers side. The on-site food is good. The drinks were good. The rooms were very clean. This is one of the nice hotels in the area hands down. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip in to town. It's only about 15 minutes to Ft. Meyers Beach, 20 minutes to Cape Coral, 1.5 hours to the everglades, 5 minutes to Sanibel and 30 minutes to the airport.

Nice hotel with inviting lobby. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Disappointed Steakhouse was not open during our visit. Only open Thurs-Sat. Only disappointment was that the hotel is not in Sanibel. It is located on the other side of the causeway, which you need to hit at off hrs or your in traffic for almost an hour to get back to hotel. We got stranded in Sanibel for dinner due to Ubers not wanting to pick you up and bring you back. No problem getting over the causeway from the Marriott but cant get back. Thank god for some very nice people who dined at the same restaurant and drove us back! Otherwise good stay!

The hotel lobby and rooms were very well kept. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Based on the main image of the table setting on the beach, I was expecting beach access, but that was not available. There was a small area to access for SUP or kayaking but not suitable for swimming. We were disappointed about the misleading picture, but the actual rooms themselves were nice.

Property was beautiful. Very clean. Staff at front desk were very friendly but not knowledgeable about the area when asked questions. Was disappointed that although property was on the water it was rocky and you could not walk on beach. Two small man made type beaches for sun bathing are here. Also many ridiculous charges in the fine print including a daily facilities service charge and a daily fee for parking. We only stayed one night. The cost and fees were not a good value in my opinion.

The property is at the harbor. I was looking for a hotel by the beach. Depending on the traffic, I had to drive 15 - 20 minutes to the beach. There are a few restaurant options at the hotel. Otherwise, you have to drive to get to other places. I chose an ocean-view room... Sunset, sunrise, and the sound of the water through the night was amazing.

View: They have excellent view on every place (room, Cabana bar, pool even Tapon rest). You can see the dolphin from pool and sunset as well. It was beautiful. Food: we've been to all the restaurant/bar at Marriot. Food was okay, but cocktails was great. Service: i think restaurant staff was stand out among others. Especially Leo (Steakhouse) and Lauren (breakfast at Tapon) they showed excellent service Pool: clean, but i have incident with my toddler . Big rocks arround palm tree fell on her toe thumb. It was bleeding, thanks to one staff (start with K) who helped me to give her band aid/antiseptic. Thanks

Loved the size of the room, bed was comfortable, shower was the best (presure was awesome), Views of water and playful dolphins were amazing! Tarpon Room food was good but a bit overpriced. Yacht dinner cruise is a most do!

I loved the pool area Restaurant was great (sea bass) We were given a CAPTIVA room and I absolutely hated being shuttled even though the wait was never bad. In our hotel there is nothing and noone. Even an empty dry pool. Its depressing!

This resort is delightful. Many areas were redone since hurricane Ian in 2022. The hotel was extremely empty right before Labor Day so we basically had the whole resort to ourselves. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The spa was beautiful and Kristen gave me a wonderful facial and Gean (sp) provided a spectacular massage. Highly recommend this resort overall and the spa for sure. I will also remember how quiet early September is at this resort and the surrounding area.

The check in process was quick and were given 2 welcome drink passes for the bar which was great. The problem was the elevators which only 2 were operational and took anywhere from 3-9min just to go floor by floor at any given moment.the restaurants were a bit expensive but still gaave it a try. The spa is definitely recommended as well as the gym which is very stocked. The pools was nice and never crowded. The bimini restaurant which is a small golf cart drive away is very recommended. The height of the stay were the amazing sunsets by the poolside which were incredible. Overall the stay was good, but try it out . Enjoy!

The spa is definitely recommended as well as the gym which is very stocked. The pools was nice and never crowded. The bimini restaurant which is a small golf cart drive away is very recommended. The height of the stay were the amazing sunsets by the poolside which were incredible. Overall the stay was good, but try it out . Enjoy!
