This is an older property, but is well maintained. Interiors are modern and refurbished. Room was clean and well appointed. As is true for most properties in the area, it is still being repaired after a direct hit from a hurricane, so some maintenance materials are in the back lot. They did not interfere with parking and comfort of the stay. There is a tiki bar onsite for those who are interested. It was well attended while I was there. My only complaint is that the pool is open dawn to dusk. A later close, even say 9:30 pm would have been nice. I was out all day, and would have loved a relaxing swim after.

Very quick check in and out. Stayed 2 night, asked for new sheets second day and they had someone come in and clean whole room over again plus new sheets for both beds, all we needed was the sheets but were so pleased with how above and beyond they went. Rooms were updated, very roomy and clean, didnt hear anyone around us so noce and quiet as well. Used laundry on site, worked great. The pool was warm and very enjoyabke for us and the kids. Have a tiki bar right next to the pool which is AWESOME. Racetrac located right nextdoor and only 15min to a good beach. Only downfall was current construction on the building following the last hurricane but didnt bother us much and wed definitely come back!

Rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious, parking was easy, and the front desk staff was friendly. The pool was nice and clean and the bar was fun with plenty of options and a friendly bartender. With it being less than 20 minutes from the beach, it’s a great option. Will definitely come back.

We were very impressed with Lantern Inn and Suites for the price. Our room was a nice size, clean, had comfortable beds, and seemed recently renovated. The pool was kept clean as were the washers and dryers (I had just stayed in a hotel in a different town that had some that left stuff all over my clothes so it is the first thing I noticed here). I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Sarasota.

We encountered several live roaches in the fridge in our earlier lunch meal taken to be eaten for diner that same day. We asked to be moved to another room since it was very late for us to venture and look for another hotel in a city we don’t know. We didn’t sleep much with lights on all night and encountering one small roach on our night table between the beds. I’m not sure if we brought it over from the other room or maybe we were encroaching in their space since the new room was right next door. Never ever will I stay at that hotel although Hotels had a 8.6 rating on their website. This leads me to believe and have many questions if Hotels.com truly vet the facilities they host. I will be requesting for a full refund or partial as I didn’t have any shut eyes of fear to have something crawling on my daughter or me for that matter.

Room was very clean and recently remodeled. Rainflow shower head with soap and shampoo dispensers, Nice pool area and Tiki Bar. But the best things were the fluffy, full pillows and the ultra-comfortable bed. Very comfortable place to stay!!

You're not getting things like bottled water in the room or breakfast, but for what you pay its an excellent value and the room is top notch and clean. Maid service daily too.

The rooms are great. Updated and clean. The courtyard was nice with pool and tiki bar. Overall quiet motel, although right next to a busy road. The dehumidifier in the room, along with the AC unit drowned it out pretty well. I enjoyed my stay here. Double check the dehumidifier before going to bed as it went off beeping at 1:00am, telling me it was full. Also would be nice to have something to black out the light from the outside. Room was pretty light at night.

Definitely a busy area. I was a little skeptical at first .Once I opened the door to our room. Definitely changed my opinion. Room was nice and clean . Modern . My only downside is that I couldn’t sleep well because of the people upstairs running around . (Kids) . I could hear everything outside as well . But overall it was a good clean hotel .

This property is a hidden gem. The rooms are updated, clean and so fresh. It’s quiet, and I got a good night sleep. Unfortunately, I couldn’t give a five stars because the mattresses were just so firm. It was very hard for me to get a great night sleep. But that was the only thing that was wrong with this beautiful place.

Big room comfy bed hot shower very clean room. Noisy road outside Wi-Fi not brilliant and they want $150 secured on your card for damage which takes a week to come back. All other properties we’ve stayed at on this trip haven’t done this.

This was clean enough and basically fine, but the street traffic noise was immense. Far too loud for a hotel. I would imagine some areas of the hotel aren’t as loud, but the room they put me in was facing the highway out front and was ridiculously noisy.

Ari was SO HELPFUL! She provided early check-in when I asked, after hurting my back getting to Sarasota, and it was a HUGE relief! Then she allowed me to check out 36 hours early and refunded the night I did not use. And to top it off, she secured the iPhone charger I had forgotten, and had it at the desk before my flight home to Iowa! A super experience, thanks so much Ari!

I’ve stayed at low cost and high cost places and never had the hotel personally reach out about my stay. I had a minor issue that was immediately taken care. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

The staff the evening I showed up was extremely helpful. I was traveling with my son and we were having credit card issues. She waited patiently while I contacted the bank and sorted out the issues. The front desk staff were Excellent! Ping greeted us with utmost care and great service. She was very professional, courteous and greeted us with smiles. Ari is also great! Took me over an hour to check in because of their system, not processing my credit card and was given a room until it was taken care of and when I came back for the fourth time, the man behind the counter that just came to work had extremely bad attitude and told me to get off the property and he was going to call the cops, meanwhile, all of our stuff was in the room, and I told him that and he was disgusted that the other woman,that was nice enough to give us Cards to get in the room, would do that. Then while I was waiting in the car for him to figure something out, he ran upstairs and locked the room so that we couldn’t get our stuff out. The biggest dumpster fire I have ever been through checking into a hotel.

I have stayed at this lovely little hotel many times, and I would highly recommend it. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is friendly and professional, and their check-in process is very easy. Also, the communication from the staff is excellent.

Check in was poor. We were told to come back after 3pm as we were early. When we returned 15 mins early, our room was given away to someone else. We had to wait until 4:30 to check in.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, plenty of towels. The Tiki Bar was a nice place to relax with a beer after a day of work. My only complaint is nothing the owners can fix: location. Being next to an airport, sometimes early in the AM a jet comes by the runway nearest the hotel and got loud enough to wake me up.

The bldg is old but our room had been renovated and was quite comfortable. Very clean! Bed was comfortable. More pillow options might help. Staff very polite and efficient. Fridge was a bit noisy but did not keep us awake. Being near the airport, morning flights began at about 5:30 am.

Close to the airport. Nice Tiki bar. Floors were dirty in the room. Microwave is so high up it’s hard to use. All in all we would stay there again because of the location and bar. Locals show up to have a drink there. Right next to a busy highway.

After having an evening flight canceled at Sarasota Airport, I feel lucky to find the Lantern Inn via Expedia. It was a reasonable rate compared to the surrounding national chains. It was convenient to the airport. I would stay here again.

Staff was friendly, room was spacious and clean, with nice amenities of a keurig, refrigerator and soaps/shampoo etc. Pool looked inviting and had a happening tiki bar on premises. Only thing that would have made it better was if there was a continental breakfast offered.

Work was still being completed, but the updates were amazing. The Tiki Bar is a nice added feature, but the bartenders didn't make the best tasting drinks. No breakfast offered.
