Wyndham Garden Tallahassee Capitol Near FSU

My room was clean and had nice bed. The property was older and had been refurbished. Ice machine was not working on my floor.

Pool closed and food quality basic front desk was not available had to call front desk to check in cause the bell doesn’t work now dies your key after checking had to go to the last available door outside to be able to get in! Not worth what I paid!

No AC in common areas and very old and dingy in the hallways. And a crusty old elevator. I cannot believe this is a Wyndham. Room is OK, but bathroom is dingy.

This hotel has had no air conditioning in all the common areas for over a month. The musty mildew smell is overwhelming. Think they had a contractural and moral responsibility to advise guests in advance of the issue. I would have cancelled the reservation and gone somewhere else. I asked the manager how long it was broken, they claimed it would remain broken and no corrective date is even anticipated. Stay away, book somewhere else.

Elevator needed to be cleaned. Floor was soiled. stainless steel hadn't been cleaned. Handicapped elevator was out of order. Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable.

They didn't have handicap access to the breakfast area or front desk . We had to go outside and come through the front entrance to enter. No wheelchair or walker access.

One day there was zero coffee. One day they ran out of eggs by 8:00 am and it was Saturday with Families. The lights in the parking lot were all out it was SO dark! Finally came on my last night? Some of the staff was really friendly. The property itself was run down, the room was better thank everywhere else.

The property was badly damaged in a recent storm. It has holes in walls, stains on carpet, and a musty odor. My guest room was in the basement. It was bad. My second room was in the 3 floor. When you walk down the hall you’re scared. It’s nasty. But you walk in to a literal sanctuary. It was updated, clean and very nice. I don’t know if most rooms are Iike this or like the basement room. But my second room was great. The elevator does not stop at the lobby. It stops in the basement and you walk up stairs to the lobby. The stairs do not exit to the lobby either. You must walk down to the basement and then take a different set of stairs to the lobby.

The room was fine...but the hotel was in extremely deteriorated condition... the carpet in halls looked like they hadn't been cleaned in 20 years... the main elevator didn't work... the staff couldn't find my Expedia reservation... the restaurant attached to the hotel has been closed more than a year. I've stayed here before, but won't agaon

Floor of elevator and hallway littered. Elevator doors only worked at times. Frequently required pushing door open button to have them open Considering the damage to hotel from tornado 3 weeks ago considerable progress on repair has been doon.

The hotel was not very clean- dirty carpet in the hallways, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, dirty exhaust fan in the bathroom, toilet paper holder off the wall. It was FSU parent's weekend so everything is overpriced and that includes this hotel especially for the condition!

AWFUL never again, 24 hrs and 1500 miles straight driving so I didn't have it in me to leave. Hallways are urine soaked, I did not see feces but it smelled highly of both, elevators were urine soaked. No AC working in building except for room which lead to the sufffocating urine smell. The room AC was permanently set at 60, no way to change, alter or turn off. The bathroom needs to be gutted. I'm surprised we didn't fall through the shower mildew cracked tub basin. I had to wear shoes to take a shower. Fire code hazards! Our room had 1 light switch but worked on nothing. Ghetto install of bed ambiance lighting with no off switch to dim or control any lights in the room. We had to go around and unscrew light bulbs from lamps & unplug all other lighting installs. When we did that was when we found 4 cords into 1 extender each feeding into.each other, against fire code for this type of establishment. Positive was the bed was clean, which was the only thing clean in this place. Honestly this place should be shut down due to code violations and health hazards. Free breakfast, haha afraid of getting salmonella poisoning. I would honestly be scared to walk into their prep station. WYNDHAM should revoke their franchise agreement. This is not how you want your name or company brand represented. Seriously if I wasn't exhausted after a 24hr straight drive I would have paid 10 fold to move. DISGRACEFUL TO THE BRAND!

No centralized air, rooms very hot and stuffy. Two roaches in bathroom. Carpet dirty with stains in hallway. Rust on floor in room, looked like blood, dirty looking curtains. Not a great smell. Water pressure no good. Breakfast gross. Staff was pleasant, helpful and friendly. I don’t blame the condition of hotel on them. But won’t choose this hotel again.

This is an older hotel. It was very dirty and there was very sketchy people and activities going on. I did not sleep because of all the noise. I had another reservation and canceled it. Would not recommend.

The room had cleaning issues

Staff checking us in were rude. Mold all over the curtains in the room. The hallway carpet leading to the room was disgusting and extremely dirty. The bottom of the mattresses and box springs were covered in mold. We left and didn’t even try to get a refund. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The beds are comfortable. This is my 1 positive foe the hotel. Hallway floors had dirty carpet in severe need to use a vaccum on them. Hallways smelled heavily of marijuana the entire stay. Breakfast was minimal. Inside the room. Popcorn celings were bubbling and pealing, laminatw floors needed good cleaning with mop. Plug ins were minimal. Lighting in room was minimal. Bathroom you can barely close door if you are in front of toilet it was so small. Cosmetically, chipped paint, appears not clean curtains had stains, light switch was broken.

It was FILTHY!!

We were there for one night, it was good the bathroom had no air vent and the toilet seat was lose, other than that it was good.

Long wait for service and broken AC in lobby. We had a long walk to lobby for coffee... not many low carb options. AC was a little noisy, and refrigerator lights were super bright, pillows a bit hard.

Roaches. Saw at least 6 small ones. There was poor lighting in the room. Only lights were a dim one by the tv, 2 wall ones between the beds, and the bathroom. None in the closet, none when you entered the room. So at night when blinds are pulled, can’t see. The beds were very comfortable though. Had it not been for the roaches and the poor lighting, it would have scored higher.

There is no TV service!!! You need your own streaming credentials. You can’t even project from your own phone. Beyond poor

The property and room was clean and the staff was friendly. The motel is old and kept up but the room A/C was quite loud and came on and off every few minutes.

Not the cleanest hotel. Rust spots on floors, broken wall fixtures, defective tv, wifi did not work, non adjustable temperature in room, stains on celing. Would not book there again.

Very disappointed. Unfriendly check in desk person. Room floor was so nasty you could slide around with your shoes on. Room had visible spilled drink residue on furniture. Wouldn’t set foot in the tub/shower without shoes. Might have been clean, but looked awful. People in next room left TV on all night, could still hear it even in the hallway at 7am. Bed was comfortable though

Hotel was VERY expensive ONLY because they raise the prices for FSU College parents weekend. Double then the normal price. Rooms are old and rusty and need a major update. No safes in rooms and refrigerator was broken and falling a part. No drawers for your clothes and shower is very rusty.

Walls were paper thin. Could hear someone in another room using the bathroom.

Excellent customer service!

I booked this through Expedia. I got a call in route to hotel the day of saying they did not have 2 beds just one king and I told them that would not work.I get there, only king available and they knocked price down. No air in lobby hallways elevator, Musty in bldg.. staff did not seem to care. Bad coffee and you have to go down about 6 stairs to get to the elevator to go up. I asked for extra blankets and they said they did not have any. Then next person said they did They were to call me for 2nd night to get two beds and they never did so I checked out one day early and was charged full price for two nights when I stayed one!!!!!!!! Little to no trash cans in the room, I had to make bags of trash and leave stuff on floor. Phone did not work next to bed and room is much smaller than the picture. Go to BOB hotel by WAWA MUCH better service and hotel!!!!

Monica at guest service was warm, friendly and pleasant. She remembered me even though i didn't booked the first time around. Thanks to her my stay was pleasant, she made sure the room was appropriate and made recommendations.

The customer service at the front desk was excellent.

I was attending a personal matter that was cancelled during my drive. I attempted to contact the hotel via six different numbers to cancel or move it to a potential future date. Everything advised me to contact the hotel directly. 13 phone calls later, the front desk never answered. I will not be using this hotel chain or Expedia for any future hotel stays.

Let's start with my check in...While Jordan was doing her best to accommodate everyone, she was delivering news that at 10pm rooms were still being flipped due to some internal issue. I waited about 15-30 minutes and my room was ready. However, upon entering my room, we had a lamp that had no light bullbs in it, the carpet leading to the room was nasty with a large hair ball on the floor and I had to return to the front desk to request for someone to come clean the tub because the phone was dirty and didn't work. My family waited over an hour for additional towels and washcloths. The tub also backs up so while showering, it's like standing in a kiddie pool. I also picked this hotel for the charging feature, but I haven't seen it yet. My mom's room also had the smoke detector hanging off the wall. I DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone until they can adequately update the rooms.

Had a confirmed reservation, while waiting in line 15 minutes, 3 other customers were offered head of line in front of us and complained about the room conditions and 3 others were offered head of line service and given rooms. Then I was told the hotel was overbooked and there was no room despite the fact the it was pre paid for through Orbitz and confirmed. In addition I had to demamd a receipt for refund as the front desk expected me to take their word that I would get a refund after selling my room to another customer. They didn’t even offer comp.

For such an ideal location this was pretty bad. Customer service can always makeup where a hotel lacks aesthetics and cleanliness but it doesn't seem to make a difference at this location. We arrived at check in at 6:18pm and the rooms were not ready with 5 ppl still waiting. Would not give an estimated time. Next to the front desk were bathrooms that had no soap but a sign that told workers to wash their hands. Came back at 7:40pm and still had to wait for a room. One person could not give an estimated time when rooms would be ready but then someone else came out and said 5 minutes. No apologies. When we finally got in our room it had not been swept and there was hair in the toilet and bathroom floor and tub. Beds were done but one sheet had black marks on it. There was a candy wrap on the floor by the bed. The hotel itself seems very old and is very dirty. Carpets on the hallway are stained. They've just thrown nice furniture in very old and dusty rooms that need renovating. Just a huge disappointment. The only good thing was breakfast. The kitchen worker seemed to be the only person willing to keep an area clean and inviting.

This place needs to be condemned! The halls and parking lot are dirty. All landscaping,including trees, are dead. Closed restaurant in lobby. Junk pile visible in parking lot. If Wyndham doesn’t care about their brand then neither will I. It’s a crime they even stay open. It is just a rip-off! There is no confusion. I took photos.

Very convenient to Florida state University

The area was quiet, the mall is across the street. There was serial hood dining options near by.

We liked the location of this property. Its located close to the FSU campus and the Florida State Capital complex. We didn't like that we were given a handicap room, with no sink in the bathroom. We also found a dirty towel that was left in the bathroom as well.

central to all i needed area wise

Very convenient location. Walnart and other stores ver close by and restaurants too. Hotel was nice. Would stay there again.

Lots of. cockroaches in room, hallways and lobby! Bathroom was really dirty and rusty fixtures. Very limited vending options. Breakfast was VERY limited and not heated enough. Coffee was lukewarm.

Breakfast could have been hotter and better presented.

The staff in dinning area for breakfast was rude. She kicked off everyone stating the breakfast items were running out. She asked everyone to leave the area even who are in the middle of having their breakfast. Even me and my friends stoped eating and left the area. And also mentioned this to front desk.

A lot of noise from people all night long, talking and screaming out the rooms and throwing rooms doors at 12 and 1 am, breakfast was very poor, only bread and ham.

The staff is excellent and the breakfast is surprisingly good. The hotel is showing its age.

Great hotel- it did the trick when I needed a room to stay in during my son’s cross country meet. Service was great, the bed was a little uncomfortable, and the room could’ve been vacuumed better, but overall it was a very good hotel. Breakfast was much better than I expected and I really enjoyed it.

Breakfast was hot and good!

When looking to book hotels during our travels, I look for Wyndham as a brand that I would consider when making a reservation. Well Wyndham Garden Tallahassee Capitol just ruined the Wyndham name for me. Hallways were dark and dirty. Sections of carpet missing ( probably due to previous water damage) The room was ok. At least it was clean. Only a half roll of toilet paper and no refill in the room. Breakfast was poor. Eggs ok, potatoes undercooked and sausage patties warm but not browned.
