Rodeway Inn Wesley Chapel

Personnel were nice. Room was musty and filthy. Shower knob fell off in my hand. No breakfast as advertised. Elevator was broken—thankfully (??) we were on ground floor. Ice machine out of order….with a note on it that the one UPSTAIRS works…Broken down vehicles (with flat, dry-rotted tires) in parking lot near the few lights in the lot. The TV needed to be fixed by employee in evening, didn’t work in AM—with not instructions how to make it operational. I paid MUCH more here than an immaculate, elegant hotel in Atlanta.

Wife use cane to walk. Room on second floor. Elevator out of service while we were there. Very difficult for her to get up and down stairs.

Overall cleanliness was sufficient. Security gets an F. Not only would the bathroom door not latch closed, the main door deadbolt also would not latch and the extra slide lock was broken. Will not stay again.

A very run-down facility in need of renovation. The water valve in the shower was loose and the sink fixture in the bathroom was coming off of the wall and items would roll down and onto the floor. the areas around the facility were very unkept and there were cigarette butts every ware. I would not recommend this Rodeway Inn to anyone.

Elevator not working. This is unacceptable especially for disabled people. Steps are dirty and dark. The only exit door was propped open allowing strangers to enter building unauthorized and unseen making the inside unsafe. The linens were old and dingy.

The place is in desperate need of repair and upkeep. The pictures do not represent the factual state of the hotel. The floors were not clean, the outside side door was never locked so anyone could just walk in and wander inside the hotel, the elevator was broken, the ice machine was broken, the stairs to go to 2nd floor was not very well lit and felt unsafe especially side the side entrance that was never locked was at the stair entrance. The beds were not even comfortable. Thankfully it was only 2 nights. Will never stay here again nor recommend this hotel.

Arrived in evening.. had to ring a buzzer for attendant. Had to buzz three times she finally showed up. Directions to room was unclear so ended up driving around building to side entrance. The door lock was broken so we just walked in. Our room was a mess... broken light switch on wall lamp. TV was sitting on dresser, broken off wall mount. Bathtub was falling apart. Breakfast the next morning was a joke!! TERRIBLE!!!!! Outside was FILTHY... This was supposed to be Choice Hotel...IT WAS NOT,,far from their better hotels. DONT STAY HERE!!!!!

The elevator was broken, there was no microwave in the room, which every hotel has, no coffee maker, floors were filthy dirty. The only good thing was the bathroom looked to be fully renovated. My son said at breakfast there was a sign that said can not take food out of the area. No hotel ever states that. My son gets up early, I sleep late and he always has brought up muffins and coffee for me but it would not matter as I could not heat up coffee as no microwave and no coffee maker. I was glad to get out of there. It was overpriced for just a bed and TV and a mini fridge. I found out that Rodeway Inns are being bought by different owners so none are the same and owners do not care

The hotel was very dirty, elevator was out order. No ventilation on the bathroom. Stairwell had poor lighting. faucet in bathroom just barely hanging on. I have nothing good to say about my stay. The smell through out the whole hotel. Mold in the shower. Headboard on bed torn. If they had any other openings would not have stayed.

They didn't have the rooms ready for us when we arrived after 4pm, the elevator was not working, my door was not locking, the hallway smelled.

Property was not clean or appealing at all. Room had a ton of gnats and ants. Room smelled bad of cigarette odors. Breakfast was horrible not much of a selection and flys all over the food. No towels in the room. Was told it was because they were fully booked the night before & haven’t caught up with laundry. Heard banging and yelling at 6am in the hallway which woke my family up after a long night at a basketball game. Would never stay again which is unfortunate since i come to Tampa often for basketball tournaments.

The place is looked dirty and smell bad.

Filthy pillow cases, shower floor, tables and chairs. Smoke detector was beeping and cleaner must have noticed it but we had to go and find him to replace battery otherwise it would not have been done. The whole place is old and falling apart. Lamps didn’t work, Mirrors filthy. Yuck. Not an appealing place at all. Needs complete update and cleaners that actually clean.

This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. The hall outside our room smelled of weed and not only was the room disgusting, but it smelled of stale cigarettes. The outlets in our room were dangerously dangling from the wall, the bathroom faucet was broken, and the shower door was missing half of the door. I could have overlooked the strands of hair in the bathroom if the rest of the room had been clean, however, it was just as dirty. I truly cannot express how terrible this hotel was. If there had been another option, I would have gladly taken it. I can’t believe how expensive it was to stay here. Honestly, you couldn’t pay me to stay another night.

Rodeway Inn was not only disgustingly overpriced, it was DISGUSTING. Sticky floors, the bed was broken and filthy, TV was ripped off the wall, furnishings were stained and ripped. There was an obvious smell of mold and the drywall on the ceiling in the bathroom was wet to the touch and nearly caving in. The lock on the door was broken as well. Just beyond gross. We were apalled and requested a refund immediately. Hotels.com was very helpful in getting us a full refund luckily. I would not recommend this place to anyone! I cannot believe they are asking $150+ a night for this DUMP!!

Dirty bed sheets the whole building smelled like smoke the room smelled like cigarettes and perfume mixed the couch was torn up the outside was full of cigarettes buds and holes on the buildings breakfast was horrible yogurt expired. I do not recommend anyone to this hotel

Tile floors were sticky, no hot water in shower, gross things on the walls overall won’t go back EVER!

The 3 front desk clerks I spoke with were all very nice. When I went to check in, I was instantly greeted 1st by the gagging odor of mold. It’s worse in the lobby area and down the hall. They recommended we park by the side doors by the pool for convenience to unload our car. That area had 3 plastic chairs all askew, cigarette butts all over the place & an overflowing trash can, filthy. The door was propped open with a rug & a guy was out there smoking weed in only his boxer shorts later that night. Our room smelled okay mold-wise but not 100%. When you turned on the AC it smelled moldy. The “non-smoking” room we paid for either used to be a smoking room, or someone just smoked in it anyway, or the slight scent of cigarettes was just radiating from another room somewhere. We walked past the open door to their laundry room so they don’t pay the pros to clean their linens. The beds had stains on the sheets, a greasy looking handprint on the headboard, dust & hair behind the bed on the top of box spring under the mattress. The first night we stayed there, we left the room before 10am, saw housekeeping in the hall, but returned to our room only to find it was never refreshed. They originally only gave us 2 towels & 1 roll of TP to start with for a family of 4 so we had to ask for more. The 2nd night there were 2 empty 40 oz bottles of beer & a fast food bag on the ground in the parking lot and we found an open can of dog food just sitting by a pool chair, but “no dogs allowed”.

No internet connection, Tv falling out. Bed is cracked

The tall ceiling made the room feel big. Shower door was busted and replaced with a curtain but they didn’t remove the door frame.

Our room AC was not working. Very hot in our room, had no refrigerator, the remote did not work. They switched our room and that room had no microwave but was a little better than the last room.

It just didn't impress us. The first room they sent us to the air conditioner didn't work at all. Not good in Florida to have the air be out of service.

My only issue was the wifi. It would connect but not work.

It need to be upgrade, the a/c was making noise during the night...but it is in a perfect location, i will stay again...it was only one night...

What I did like was that Ebony at front desk was sweet and super helpful. We had a problem with our reservation and she went above and beyond to help us. I will be forever grateful for that. I did not like that it is very outdated and the amenities in the room like the microwave, did not work, it actually exploded once. The TV was resting from the wall on top of the dresser when it should have been hung on the wall. It was not safe where it was.

The wrong room was given other that the one I reserved online. The air conditioner was not working. The fridge was not working. The shower was dirty. The control for the television was not easily usable, you had to scroll thru all the channels to find a channel ( no numeric keys ).

Room is not as advertised. Wanted a seperate room and pictures and description said it had a seperate room as the bedroom. This is not true, it is a standard room with 2 beds studio style.

Room 240 needs a lot of attention. The bed is really bad. Major hole in the king bed. Pillows need to be replaced. The shower needs a non slip mat inside. You can slip and fall in the shower due to the flooring. Needs to be recaulked around the shower black in it. I couldn't get a refund that's why I had to stay but never again

The staff went above and beyond with every request thrown at them. Felt like staying with friends.

I was given the incorrect key for room . Room that was already occupied . Frond desk staff did not acknowledge wrong and was very disrespectful and unprofessional

Key card access to the room. I had a 4 night stay and had to go to the front desk several times because my access card did not work to my room. The staff was very accommodating

Property was clean and in good shape for the most part. It can use a few paint and small repairs here and there but it didn't affect our stay. However Ebony that met us at the desk and helped us get settlea in was very nice and a great asset to the propwrty! We had a nice relaxing stay!

The check in person was sarcastic and argumentative. The room smelled like must and I could not sleep. The room setup was haphazard. They had a wall lamp with USB charger on the wall by the TV instead of next to the second bed like it did for the other bed. The mattress was not align with the backboard I had to push it over to reach the plug in the bottom of the wall to plug in my charger. The plugs were loose and my charger kept falling off the plug. The cleaning people are very noisy and to drown them out have to leave fan on. Breakfast was terrible small selection. It was the cheapest price but I have stayed at a Motel 8 with better breakfast service and room amenities.

The check in was very slow and the cards did not work so i had to go back to the front desk 3 times. Also the hotel did not give any service for the entire stay. No trash was taken out and i had to go to the front desk to get clean towels. Then i was told the hotel only services the roos every 4 days. NOT ACCEPTABLE. WILL NOT COME BACK

When I first arrived my reservations could not be found even after providing confirmation number and email the General Manager came up with some story booking through 3rd party that it takes a while for it to populate over to their system. He continues to act like he was trying to refresh the system he then proceeded to tell me that he see that a made the reservation but it still didn’t transfer over. So he stated he was going to duplicate the reservation and call Expedia because the virtual card number that was sent had declined. Once again never heard of any of this happening before. I believe he was trying to create another booking. He then ask me to sign some paper he said that he has to fix my previous reservation in the system later the rate on the paper said $79.50 what I paid through hotels.com was $95.20 with taxes and fees. He said that the $79.50 is the actual rate without the taxes and fees and he will have it fix and the morning. He proceeded with giving me a room key I went to checkout the room the key didn’t work so I had to go back to the desk twice after he kept confirming that it will work tried it again didn’t work. He then switch my room and provided me with a new room key. The next morning at check out some new check me out I ask if the manager had gotten everything fix he said somewhat he going to make corrections today. He said a email receipt will be sent I said no I would like a paper receipt also and notice a balance of $79.50 he said to disregard

The hotel seemed in a safe place, basic, definitely no frills but good for a night. The breakfast was not a warm breakfast. Walking distance to an Outback Steakhouse and a Cracker Barrel and right off I-75 - easy off and easy on.

Property is in an upscale nice part of town with new shopping/town center area. Hotel is old, outdated and dirty, much nicer hotel nearby at similar price range.

The rooms and service are great but around the hotel is sketchy

I enjoyed my stay the room was excellent, staff was helpful and friendly, there is a restaurant on both sides of the property, got a google price will definitely be back.

Have stayed here several times. Tile floors in rooms are much cleaner than carpeting. Hall carpeting keeps halls quiet. Breakfast is limited to cold cereal, mini-donuts, bread, Belgian waffles, and not enough coffee. Stayed 4 nights. Housekeeping is sporatic -- unless you request specific service, the crew might collect trash, and an open bar of soap and a used towel off the sink (but not replace the towel or soap).

A 1 night trip for basketball tournament. We felt it was a good place for teams to stay. We were overall pleased with the room and location. It would be even better if a continental breakfast was included. They appear to have the means to cook but all that was offered was waffles and that was all.

I think everything was under average at your establishment, the staff was excellent. The breakfast was really poor. Dounts everyday but they were stale. Cereal was giving once in 11 days of my stay . Not really a choice to lodge at.

The room was clean; however it did need maintenance. There was a light fixture with exposed bare wires and damaged bathroom shelf with exposed nails. Breakfast was bare minimum. No fruit, protein, or milk for coffee. Just waffles, toast or prepackaged donuts.

Overall it was an average hotel but staff service was very nice. The free breakfest isn't really breakfast but snacks!

The first room had been smoked in. The second room was better. Couldn't reach toilet paper from toilet. Bathroom floor was sticky. No Kleenex. Breakfast was laughably the worst we have ever encountered . & No decaf coffee. Sadly do no recommend it.
