This hotel needs help! From the staff to he facilities. The desk staff was not friendly at all. My husband was not spoken to until he spoke first, after standing for some time waiting to be acknowledged. This hotel has no elevator, which is is not listed and is very misleading. The stairs to get to our 2nd floor room needed a good vacuuming. They looked like a good shampoo was certainly in order. We were to have a smoke free room..but our room reaked of cigarettes, especially our bathroom. There was no smoke detector in our room..we guess so that smoking wouldn't be an issue. After a while , we became nose blind to it..but when we left and came back in..you could smell it bad..to the extent that our clothes even smelled . We were in town for a wedding so that was really not good. I was afraid to even shower on the nasty tub. We made sure to not walk on floors without shoes Not many TV channels The pool closed before said time. We were 30 minutes before posted 9:00 pm closing and it was already closed. I have a disappointed 5 yr old. The breakfast was certainly not worth mentioning . Had I been staying any longer than the 1 night I spent in this room..really 8 hrs sleeping, then I would have requested to move rooms or a refund. The pictures are decieving. Nothing like the website. Lots of people "hanging out" in the parking lot..ALOT of activity There was a festival in town so rooms were scarce. I would not recommend this place to anyone .

This is 3 rd time staying at this hotel in 6 months and the ice machine is still broken. The only ice machine available is on the 2nd floor. However we are senior citizens and we would have to climb stairs since the hotel does not have an elevator. I think at this point it is time to buy a new ice maker since the hotel is usually at full occupancy when we stay there.

I chose this hotel and paid a higher price for one reason: the indoor pool. I arrive and sign said it's "Closed for the season". Indoor pools don't have season. How dishonest of them to advertise that in the photos and not have it available.

The price of the hotel was not bad. The room had a bad odor in it. It smelled like the last person who may have been there. The biggest drawback was the hotel not having an elevator and I was traveling with 2 kids and luggage. Breakfast bar was limited. Staff was not very friendly either.

Was in town for family bereavement. The Hotel was OK.. Constantly had to wait at front desk for someone to come. At check in, or trying to make a purchase from market or just a question. There was never anyone at the desk, On check in we had to go and find a house keeper to ask if she could get a front desk person. It's April and the Pool and Spa were not open and it was an indoor spa. with a note that it was closed due to the Season!

The whole hotel was dirty. The AC wasnt on when he got to the room at Midnight. Was told by the front desk "it will cool down eventually". The bathroom had hair in several spots, the tub was dirty and the floor was nasty. I dont recommend this place.

The tub had a ring around it. The floor had clearly not been mopped as there was a brown drink spot under the side of one of the beds. And no do not disturb sign for the door, which lead to the cleaning people getting into my room. The person at the desk for check in was not friendly and didn't say anything she didn't have to.

The hotel rooms were filthy. Hair in the shower, purple shampoo was squirted all over the shower curtain from the previous guest and was still there when we checked in. The grout on the bathroom floor is green with mold. Spill on the floor from the previous guest was not cleaned. We stayed at the hotel with several other people and every one of them said their room was filthy. One of them had to lay a towel down in the shower because it was so dirty,others refused to shower.

Walked in and the hotel smelled musty. Walking down the hall it was not vacuumed. We got to the room and it was gross. We didn’t even put our bags down. We didn’t stay. There was mold all in the bathroom.

I booked here because other reviews commented on how clean this place was. Cleanliness is literally the only thing I really care about at a hotel. This place was not clean. We checked in very late. The area around the hotel was a bit sketchy, but okay enough for one night. Once checked in, our key card did not work, and although we were let in our room with the master key after two trips to the front desk, we were never given a working key so we could not leave our room. The shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time. There was a red ring around the drain, build up on the shower head and fixtures, and the curtain had visible mildew as did much of the ceiling. The faucet also was not clean and there was a strange odor when running the water. When we turned down one of the beds, on the sheets, there was both a yellow stain and another spot that looked like the remains of some adult time activity. Lastly, the indoor pool was “closed for the season”. I was never aware indoor pools had a season, but given the condition of our room, we probably wouldn’t have trusted it anyway.

Extremely Noisy air conditioner. Rust in bathroom. Water barely warm in the shower and was brown when we first turned it on…I assume from rust. You can hear everything in the rooms beside you. It was fairly clean inside the room. Pictures are extremely misleading. Indoor pool and hot tub closed for the season??? What’s the point of that?? Breakfast was extremely limited but not the worst for what they did have. Housekeepers came and collected all the towels but didn’t give us any more. Definitely not worth the 300$ we spent for 2 nights. At the end of the day…I’d look somewhere else.

This hotel is just OK. I've stayed here before and there is never anyone at the Desk.The clerk is always somewhere else. When I arrived for this stay I had to ring the bell and wait and then the attendant from an upstairs banister said "May I help you?" I'm thinking, 'Not from Up There !!! I had to say well I'm trying to check in, before she would come down and wait on me... REALLY !!!! The Pool is always "closed for the season "!!! It always smells poorly in the hall and stairways.

This has been one of the worst experiences that I have ever had! From the very beginning, my experience went downhill. It began with the hostess “not being able to find my reservation” .. then, 10 minutes later, after showing her my confirmation and itinerary number twice, she was able to find it. She then said that someone was already checked into my room under name .. which was impossible as I travelled 4 hours away from home and the only other person on my itinerary was with me. She walked me down to the room to ensure that no one was present in the room. It was empty. Within 2 minutes, we discovered that the the refrigerator was in the process of defrosting, the tv did not work at all (no connection), the walls were dirty, and there was a nice sized spider in the bathtub waiting on us. We made the decision to suck it up because it was after 11pm when we checked in and we are not familiar with the area. That was a terrible idea.. within 5 minutes of finally sitting down from attempting to disinfect the room, we heard a keycard in the door and, had I not put the door chain up, it would’ve swung open due to the clerk assigning our room to another guest !! We were both confused and upset! He apologized and exited. About 10mins yrs later, this same process happened again, but this time with an entire family! Needless to say, we did not get much rest. The problems continued the next morning as we learned that the walls are paper thin and the staff was rude! Very Dissatisfied!

I went down to the lobby around 6:30 am for coffee. There was not a regular coffee container available. I asked the front desk attendant if there was coffee and she shouted “ITS BEING MADE!” Not the best reaction to hear/feel at 6:30 in the morning.. I will never stay at this hotel again. Also this made things very uncomfortable for my child that was with me.

This hotel looked so nice but it was in a really sketchy area and it smelled bad in the hotel also they let anyone use the pool and eat breakfast we watched kids get dropped off to eat breakfast and swim in the pool all day

Hotel location is good it’s only $20 less than the new holiday in down the road which is on another level of comfort. The Clarion smells of smoke upstairs but they say no smoking. Moreover, it needs a massive makeover on numerous things. The reason we chose here is because they have a pool and my kids wanted to swim. Pool is good but not worth it for the price. Theirs better options like the holiday inn or Hampton inn down the road. Won’t be back.

As soon as I enter the lobby, I felt like it's home away from home. It's clean and smells fresh. The staff are nice and breakroom was stocked with free coffee and tea. Our room was clean and smells really nice with toiletries neatly provided as well. Although is was an hour away from where we are supposed to attend business to, it didnt' matter because everything about this property was great. I will definitely consider this hotel again in the future when we need to stay around Statesborough area. The drive was nothing compared to the relaxing and safe feeling we got while staying at this property.

This is an older hotel, located directly behind a car wash and restaurant. The guest room smelled like an old cleaning rag; the air conditioning was inadequate, even for the month of April. The room was clean and spacious. For a woman traveling alone, I do NOT recommend this hotel. The parking lot had several service vehicles with men standing around drinking beer. None were impolite but I was concerned that one of the hotel staff was obviously enjoying the evening with the men and a bit intoxicated himself. The staff overall were very pleasant and eager to please.

One day got down to breakfast at 855 am.No meat.Eggs were there all day.No juice left.No one came and replentished anything. I sat there 30 minutes. Also,I have knee issues.They put me on second floor.I asked them if any accommodations and they said no.Why didnt they put a priority for me when one came available?I stayed 3 days?They werent concerned about me.

The staff was very hospitable. My family was very comfortable, the location is convenient to alot of stores and the continental breakfast is served on time. We will stay at that location anytime we visit Lyons/wheeler county.

Extremely Noisy air conditioner. Rust in bathroom. Water barely warm in the shower and was brown when we first turned it on…I assume from rust. You can hear everything in the rooms beside you. It was fairly clean inside the room. Pictures are extremely misleading. Indoor pool and hot tub closed for the season??? What’s the point of that?? Breakfast was extremely limited but not the worst for what they did have. Housekeepers came and collected all the towels but didn’t give us any more. Definitely not worth the 300$ we spent for 2 nights. At the end of the day…I’d look somewhere else.

The room was a nice size, and the bed was comfortable. It had been recently renovated; however, the workmanship was sloppy (paint on the ceiling, shower floor chipped, peeling paint). My biggest complaint was the glass shower knob was full of mold. It was disgusting! The lady who ran the front desk was very polite, but she was a one man band. She was in charge of both the front desk and the breakfast area. She was working very hard but could not keep up. They were out of coffee, milk, syrup, eggs, and sausage. Another HUGE complaint was that the INDOOR pool and hot tub was closed "for the season". One reason we booked was for the hot tub. This was not mentioned on the website. We will not be returning again. It's a shame because it has potential to be a nice place to stay.

My pup and I enjoyed your clean, cool room on a hot Georgia day. We were passing through on our way to Charleston and stopped for the night. I liked that the floors were not carpet. They had a full breakfast. This is the second time we stayed there and will again in the future.

Upon arrival we were greeted by staff. The grounds, lobby area and carpet was clean. Front desk clerk was customer friendly and knowledgable. The hotel looks like the website photos. The room was clean, spacious and clean smelling. A large screen TV and a great makeup light in the bathroom. Breakfast had many options - hot and cold by 8:45 it was cooling down and not enough - the taste was very good. I would recommend this hotel to travelers. Breakfast hours very inconvenient for travelers :6 am 9 am even on weekends.
