The drive and parking area are filled with broken concrete and pot holes. Three storage containers were in the parking lot. I assume they were for a remodel because the interior was nice and clean. Breakfast offered a good variety. Pool was nice.

I liked that the rooms were updated in their look and style and it also included a Pool. The Staff also took care of the request I made for additional towels and toiletries. What I didn't like was the accessibility to the parking lot and the amount of potholes and limited parking there was. Parking lines were faded, so lots of people were double parking. Large groups of people were hanging outside the entrance smoking and drinking (around 20 per night, every night I was there), and within the Lobby area. Drink machines didn't work either, nor sell water, and the Pool area had black mold on the ceiling.

The bed I had in the suite was like sitting on a barrel, hard, noisy with every movement. The driveway coming into hotel is torn up full of holes and rough, needs repaired. Will tear up cars.

There is a drive into the hotel that is dangerous. It says do not enter on the pavement, but that message is not visible at night. The other drive in to the south needs repair, as well.

Older hotel is well-kept with fairly new carpeting, paint, and furniture. Staff provides excellent service. Would give them more stars if I could. About the parking lot... The lot itself is fine. The short road that leads to it is horrible. I suspect that road is not owned by the hotel as there is another lot off of the road that is also in horrible shape. The road may be a shared road.

The outside property is a bit messy. Lots of holes in the lot. Three big dumpster out front too. Kinda made for a rough first impression. Room was great though and pillows were fluffy. Pool and hot tub were excellent!

Overwhelming Damp and cleaner smell. The room felt damp the entirety of our stay. The outside looks rundown. Even the 2017 award banner over the entrance looks bad.

The room looked clean, but the rug turned my feet black. Outside screen was hanging off and the windows were quite dirty. The hot tub had a leak that wet the hall floor continually. They had fans on to dry the floor, but really needed to empty the hot tub and get it fixed. The breakfast was good, the extra cookies at night was a great touch. The bed was clean, but too soft for my taste. The management was very helpful, and the staff was always smiling.

Trying to pull in main intrance might have caused vehicle damage. Very dark at night time i found out later. Drove around to other entrance checked in. Unknown 100$ deposit. Room had limited outlets. Room was hot and stuffy. The air unit set at lowest setting only turned on twice for several minutes. Mold in the pool room. Mold around our room window. Woke up having asthma attacks. Checked out as early as we could get ready. I could no longer breathe in room i am allergic to mold. Windows actually open, had to lock it for safety.

When we pulled up to the parking lot it had huge potholes that you could barely get around and there are people outside with a barbecue grill with beer and alcohol and a bunch of people like they were at a park. There is trash everywhere in the parking lot. The carpet in the room looked like it had not been vacuumed it looked dirty like it had things spilled all over it. The room smelled like mold and there was an old moldy air freshener in the closet. The hallway smelled dirty I had to hold my breath walking down the hallway to leave the hotel. The people hanging out outside the hotel looked very shady and I would never take my family there if I had little kids. I will never stay at the quality Inn in Ottumwa Iowa ever again and I may not use hotels.com. It was an overall bad experience and they had signs hanging up saying that they had won awards back in 2017. If they had won awards they wouldn’t win any now.

Normally stay in town but remembered this property. Had stayed here before but the remodel was really nice. Desk service was great, slight issue with TV but was resolved immediately. Max was super. Gonna be back in July.

Everyone with the exception of one counter host was very helpful. One host was rude and not polite. We had a service dog and they gave us a room very accessible to the back door. Other than the one person everything was excellent.

Attempted to stay here. Upon arrival, hotel sign was busted , parking lot looked like a land mine field with pot holes everywhere, construction trailer box sitting on the ground close to the entry and appeared as though the hotel was close. No signs on the building or address on the building. When trying to check in was told I did not have a reservation. I showed them my Hotels.com receipt and they didn't care and told me that I shouldn't have used a third party to make a reservation. We left and Hotels.com made things right by giving a full refund. Unfortunately had an unexpected 6hr ride home...

The hotel was ok; clean, etc. - what you'd expect from a chain like this. The actual building was hard to find. Signage was on the highway but the building was a block or more back through a vacant lot that had deep holes in the cement that could have damaged my car. Later I saw another way in but it was totally not marked and the direct way was through the cement mine field
