This hotel had the warmest hotel pool I’ve been to, which is great for traveling with friends. The front desk lady was awesome! They had a hot chocolate bar in the afternoon that the kids loved. Awesome Mexican restaurant next door. Great hot breakfast for free.

The hotel seems older. The elevator is a little scary. The toilet seat was loose and the tub was scratchy which made a bath actually painful. I always think the garbage cans are too small. However, the staff was extremely friendly, the room was very clean, and up to date. I didn’t hear a lot of noise from other stayers so I'm gonna say it was quiet. No one bugged us at check out or rushed us, so all in all it was a pleasant stay for one night, but I wouldn't want to stay much longer than that.

Very clean room. Easy access from main highway. Breakfast is average with two different kinds of breakfast sandwich and other selection. I was not aware they charge $3 parking/nightly. I would not argue on 3 dollars but it is unexpected.

Could use some updating. Bathtub bottom had chipping paint were it had been previously painted. Room had a musty smell to it. Employees were friendly and helpful while working under stress because of lack of internet at the hotel.

My stay was just fine. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. I did not like how hot and stale it was in the hallways. My room smelled musty as well. They were having the air units serviced and cleaned while I was there. I appreciate that they asked when the best time for me for them to come in. I was irritated that the front desk lady checked me out well before I actually checked out. I wanted to change the credit card to be used to pay the room. But I think it was because she was alone at the desk and was responsible for replenishing the breakfast buffet foods. All in all a nice stay.

The hotel was very well maintained in terms of cleanliness and construction. The rooms was clean and fresh. The only thing that was a drawback was the noise that came from the upstairs room's bathroom when they flushed. It was a vivid noise and felt like someone flushing in your bathroom.

Overall a pleasant stay. Lots of choices at breakfast. I like that they, like many hotels now, are using containers in the shower for shampoo, etc., instead of the little bottles. Much better for the environment. My only complaint was that there were only shears on the windows, which made it hard to sleep in a little bit in the morning.

Our only choice of chain hotels. The hotels are clean, even when they are older, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are a good size, and the people are always so nice. Thanks to Charles and Heather at the front desk (check-in and checkout respectively), our questions and requests were promptly addressed.

AC unit was broke told them to let me know when they could come and fix and they did not. Left to go grab something with all my stuff in the room out and a don’t disturb while I was briefly away and someone came in my room and messed with the AC. Totally uncouth and they should’ve adhered to there policy.

We had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn. The room was clean and we had no issues. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly as well. Breakfast was good and we also enjoyed the lemonade & tea during the evening. It’s in a safe location close to restaurants and attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Went to Starve Rock for weekend, stayed in Peru. 10 mins away. The hotel was in a nice spot close to stores, shopping and resturants. The staff was awesome! They had a cooler of water in lobby that was the BEST i ever had. Free breakfast that was filling from 6am-9am. Easy in and out. Shower had great pressureand pillows were soft..

It was available and where I needed to be. It’s close to the highway - but not too close. There are plenty of good fast food options nearby. I thought the price was a little for this type of hotel in this location. The staff were super nice. Overall it was a great experience.

The rooms was very clean and comfortable. Not sure about the controls in the fridge - I couldn't read the labels inside. It might be helpful to print something for the door. Lot of restaurant selections in the area. Breakfast on Monday was mediocre at best. No scrambled or hard boiled eggs available - what was offered was unappetizing.
