This property is under renovation. The lobby & 1st floor are a dusty dirty mess. The room was new and updated, sparkling clean. There were only 2 small tables for breakfast, sticky, not clean. Only good thing serves were the cinnamon rolls.

Pool was open nice and late and it was heated which was lovely. Location a bit bizarre (by an outlet mall that is mostly out-of-business), but kind of like a hidden gem. Great food options just a short drive away. Really friendly staff.

We stayed here for UIUC graduation. Reasonable rates compared to campus and only about 35 minutes away. The hotel is currently under construction (May 2024) but that did not impact our stay at all. Our room was brand new, pool and workout room were open, breakfast was being served but on a "grab n go" system. Thank you to hotel employee Julie for her helpful and friendly customer service.

As soon as we walked in we could see they were remodeling. They had tables set up for them to use to check people in. One of the main reasons we picked this hotel was for the hot breakfast. With the remodeling going on they were not serving hot breakfast. We could have stayed at another hotel for cheaper with the same grab and go breakfast. What a disappointment.

We arrived a bit late, after 9:30, but the staff was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to enjoy our meal without any hassle, which I greatly appreciated. The only downside I noticed was the size of the gym—it was quite tiny and could use some expansion or additional equipment. However, the comfort of the beds made up for it. Staff was professional and friendly. Room was quiet and had a comfortable bed. We were pleased with the breakfast selections. Only disappointment was the shower curtsin & liner were soiled. Also the toilet wasn't clean and the tile floor looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. Otherwise the other areas of the room and the hotel were clean and well kept.

Wasnt a bad 2 day stay. Kinda sucked hearing the interstate but wasnt too bad. The only thing i didnt like was that the bathroom door wouldn't stay open, so the bathroom stayed pretty warm entire time. Did find a dead bug in the window sill but it happens. Overall decent stay for a couple day trip.

Overall we were very happy with our stay. The room was clean. Staff was friendly. We did not have breakfast there so I can’t comment on that. It was concerning that we did not have a smoke detector in our room- where the smoke detector should have been was just wires hanging down - I do have a photo of this. This was a safety concern for us. For my preference, the bed was hard and pillows waaaay too soft, but that is a personal preference. We would stay here again, just hopefully next time we would have a smoke detector in our room and not just loose wires.

The hotel was clean. The pancake machine for breakfast was broke and there was no bacon. Looked to be bacon earlier but they never refilled it. Our stay overall was still nice. Cleanliness is my #1. Would stay again.

Was it a functional room? Yes. But a little more run down than most Holiday Inn Expresses I've seen. The entire hallway smelled really musty and damp, and the smell got even stronger in the room. The carpet had a large burn mark, and almost felt moist from the dampness that you felt just walking into the room. Blackout curtain had holes in it. It was a place to spend the night to get some sleep, but that's about all I'd say about it.

Yes the room was great and clean. We have one issue where the door didn't close well. You really have to pull hard, so hard my wife couldn't get the door to latch. We were in room 110.

The check-in was easy and the front staff was super friendly. The beds were comfy and the breakfast in the morning was great! (Shoutout to whoever put the cinnamon rolls under the steamer thing 👍) And, the price was excellent! We were driving through on our way to Iowa and this was the perfect spot to rest.

Called early to make arrangements for early checking, when i arrived was told the person i made those arrangements with was new and didnt know she couldnt do that. All i needed to do was change clothes for a wedding. I requested to cancel my reservation before the desk agent would put me in a room. Hotel was exceptional clean, updated, pool and hot tub area was clean. Wifi was great, tv had an array of channels and movie channels. Hotel staff was very nice once we got checked in. Definitely would recommend.

Had a good experience. The staff are friendly, no surprise, people in Tuscola are generally friendly types. Nice and clean. Quiet-- no shared door between rooms is a plus I like about most Holiday Inn Express properties. I'd stay there again. I had to do business in Tolono and Savoy and the hotelbetter priced than a comparable property had I stayed in Champagne and Tuscola is 20 minutes from downtown Champagne and 15 from Savoy and 10 from Tolono. So, it worked out well.

When I got down for breakfast, I had a fairly large selection. My only complaint was everything was already dried out, and overcooked rolls were hard. The biscuits were hard. The eggs were overcooked and dry. You might wanna turn your temperature down a little bit.

We stay in Tuscola once a year for a family Christmas reunion and usually at the Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Our only disappointment was with breakfast. Although it is very good, the pancake machine was out of batter and not being refilled and no cinnamon rolls were replenished. There also was no oatmeal for one of our party. Seems small but we do look forward to it. We thought breakfast was until 10 on the weekends but the hours changed to 9:30 and we came down at 9:15. Could be why the low supply, but the hotel charges quite a bit for the area and it should be stocked until closing. Just my opinion.
