Quality Inn Castleton

The popcorn machine in the lobby was cool, but it was empty. At that point, the machine should have been turned off. Popcorn was spilled in the elevator and throughout the hall. It was still there in the morning. At breakfast, the coffee containers were empty. After being refilled, they were full of grounds. I literally took a sip of coffee and had a mouth full of coffee. Overall, poor service.

Door keys had to be reset every day to enter room, back door key scanner never worked so we had to walk half way around the building and use the front door, tall overgrown lawn, moist carpet that smelled like mold or something weird, door was propped open with a hanger when we arrived (probably to vent the stench and moisture). But overall it was a bed and warm shower.

The front desk staff was kind and helpful, and the room was clean. Parking was very limited due to construction materials taking up spaces and hot breakfast was little to none available.

Parking lot was completely full so we had to park overnight in another property next door. The lobby/breakfast area was small compared to the hotel size and # of guests. Otherwise, the refresh of the lobby and hallways were nicely done. The front desk staff was great too.

The room, service, and hospitality were spot on. The pool is in excellent condition and the staff monitors the condition of the deck and the pool water. If you don't take advantage of this amenity you are missing out.

This motel looked fine from the outside but as you get in it is a whole different place. The men's and women's bathroom in the lobby area was always locked. room cleaned 1 time even though it said every 3 days for long stays. We stayed 9 days. Toilet leaked. Halls always smelled like cigarette smoke. Our door did not close so every time we came back it was open and only needed pushed open, which since the keys never seemed to work, I guess it made up for that. Handicap bench in the bathroom was cracked and I almost fell once form it slipping. Wanted to wash clothes but washing machine was broken and when I asked about it, I couldn't really understand his English so I I heard was that the manager had to figure that out. Good Thing I don't plan on going back to Indianapolis any time soon but I definetly would nopt stay there again

It was okay. But the pool was a bit dirty with hair and stuff flowing in it. The pool water was a bit stinky. In face my swimsuit smelled real musty right after my swim. The breakfast could’ve used some more condiments for the waffles and non powder creamer for the coffee

This appears to be a run down older hotel. It is convenient as it is just off of 465. If some TLC were given to the hotel to spruce it up I would have given it a higher rating. It just smells old and musty and the carpet in our room was quite dirty. I had on white socks and they were so dirty after walking around the room for one night I just threw then away. Staff was polite and considerate. The room said it was non-smoking but I don't believe that was the case.

I paid for room through Travelocity and when I checked I had to pay again. Stains on chair, dehumidifier hadn’t been emptied. Flaking paint in bathroom.

Dingy towels and badly used sheets. They charge a different deposit the. Listed which is higher. Thin walls. You can everything that goes on in the next room. No rest at all.

The property itself had struture damage such as cracks and meldew. The chair individual logging was dusky with visible dirt. The shower didn't work, the lever was stuck. One of the lamps appeared to have stained splattered liquid that wasn't clean. I was in town to work but I couldn't wait to leave. When I checked in front desk clerk was rude, when I said I made the reservation including my one dog and he said the charge is in addition to. Do I want the room or not. I didn't need that attitude just becauseI expressed I was told it was an additional charge. So, to receive a room in this condition really topped my night off. Although, the location worked for me. I don't think O would recommend or stay there again. I didn't even receive an apology, which can go a long way.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was dirty. There was a hat and garbage next to the bed on the floor from previous guests. The bed skirt appeared to have bodily fluids.

The room was dirty and damp. The area around the hotel was not great. Breakfast was not good either. There was limited selection and the food was not cooked well.

The hotel needs to be overhauled. It is not clean. You can smell mildew. The room had not been serviced well. I purchased cleaning supplies & Febreeze to mask the odor. The carpet needs to removed. The gasket stripping around the refrigerator was offensive & nasty. I checked out early because of the condition of the room.

Toilet did not flush in room 223. Reuse white flat sheet with a yellow stain on it. They should have thrown away the stain sheet.

Room was comfortable, clean and location convenient. Unfortunately there were some problems. All paperwork showed only at $50 deposit (even the forms I electronically initialed) but there was a new sign that they said it would now be $100 so my card was charged that. The toilet didn’t flush without having to wiggle the mechanism in the tank and their was obvious bubbles in the ceiling from past water damage.

It had the most comfortable bed with nice crisp clean sheets. It was very inviting after a long drive. The TV was confusing in both Quality Inns.

Just passing through and stayed one night. Bed was very comfortable (and I'm picky!). It was very quiet. Only 2 issues: there was an alarm clock in the room that went off at midnight and the carpet seemed damp (first floor). I would stay here again.

it was good for a Quality Inn. It suited its purpose to lay your head down at night. small bathroom, but you could still take a shower.

The walls seem thin; can always hear other guests (this was my 2nd stay). Everything worked as it should, there were guest soaps and shampoo/conditioner and body lotion. Room was clean and comfortable. Cable tv. Comfortable seating and large desk. Lots of lamps for lighting. I would book again when in the area.

It was okay. The hotel itself and staff were fine. Part of the hallway leading to our room smelled like cigarette smoke. Our room was not terrible but could have been better. The carpet was a little sticky and did not seem to have been vacuumed well. There was chewed up gum stuck to the back of the bedside table. Breakfast was standard for a hotel. Overall, our stay was decent for the money and for one night, but some things could have been improved.

The room had an awful smell. We noticed items in poor condition like rusty mirror frames, rusty office chair, water damaged bathroom door.

This hotel is older and the upkeep can best be described as "doing the best that they can." Our room was cleaned, but one of the pillows smelled strongly of a men\'s cologne. We left it on the floor. The desk chair was broken and tipped back so far that my husband almost fell. The window did not have a "sheer" under the curtain so the only option was to have the curtains closed. We were on the ground floor and if we opened the curtains, anyone walking past the window could and did look in. the furniture in the room was old and worn. Not dirty but it did not make it a room we wanted to sit and hang out in. The shower had a fabric curtain, but not plastic curtain backing it so the water went through the fabric which made for a wet floor. The tub did not have any adhesives on the bottom so there was potential for slipping. I tried to use the hair dryer but it was not working, it was not worth mentioning as we needed to leave on time and I can go without. The bed was comfortable and the room was adequate but if we were to return to the area again, we would pick another provider for a more modern stay. The hotel was clean but just looked worn. I wouldn\'t want to stay there if I was traveling alone. Simply put, we had our reservation for 2 nights and when we returned to the hotel on the first day, we had the option to stay in the room for one more night or leave to drive 5 hours to arrive home after midnight. All things considered, we took the drive.

Worse experience in my life at a hotel. Front desk person, DJ was very very rude. He hung up thd phone on me. Reservation was total messed up. He was nasty and did not help at all. I will be calling to report this awful experience

Average property, breakfast was a little below par. Stayed six nights with no housekeeping. Would have stayed longer. Moved to another hotel about the same price.

I am very grateful to the customer service person at the front i had a wrong check in date but he fix the error i had a room that was was prefect that i need after a long drive Thank you guys

We were only there for a short bit. We had an event thst we spent the entire day at. The front desk allowed us to check in earlier thsn the posted time. We are so grateful. It allowed us to go and enjoy the day. Thank you for that.

Stopped at front desk to ask for towels and soap in the morning(since no room service unless requested). Got back in evening, had nothing. Called front desk, they said they would bring it right up. Twenty minutes later, nothing. I went back down to front desk to get it myself. (One front desk guy was out smoking). I don't feel quests are a priority.

I liked the price. I could afford two rooms at their rates, rather than a suite at other properties. Two things I did not like: not finding my reservation when I arrived at the hotel, and charging me for the reservation they could not find.

The property was very accessible via street or by expressways!

Lots of sketchy people in the parking lot, multiple people smoking right outside the entry so had to walk through a cloud of smoke

The location of the hotel is great. It's very easy to find, just right out a highway exit. There are many shops and restaurants around, too.

Any motel near a freeway is going to have traffic noises, so I expected that. But the place was pretty easy to get to once spotted off the roads. Friendly staff, especially when had to recode our door keys more than once. Easy drive to three shopping centers and gas station.

It was a nice hotel with a reasonable price. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast had eggs & sausage besides the normal cereal and waffles. It was nice to have a good choice.

I loved how the venue looked. It was very welcoming. Staff was pleasant. Room was nice, although the bathroom was a bit small. Ultimately my only complaint was the breakfast. The waffle maker's timer didn't work when I used it. I tried to alert staff, but they didn't know what was wrong with it. The eggs were horrible. I couldn't finish them. They were soft, very mushy with no texture.

Staff was attentive and courteous. Breakfast: sub standard. Coffee was not necessarily hot. No cream or half and half, just lame powder. Sausage was not labeled, but suspected a stack was turkey not pork. No sugar free syrup for waffle. Everything else was mediocre as expected at most hotels.

Great value. Good breakfast & coffee. Just a nice experience.

1. The tv remote did not work. The light on the remote worked but did not affect the tv. They gsve me another remote which didn't work. I explained that the issue appeared to be the IR reciever on the tv. They said Maintenance would look at it. When I returned at the end of the day the tv was on but the remote didn't work. I don't think the desk clerk was listening to me. 2. Over the weekend they served eggs and sausages for breakfast. During the week they didn't. For someone like me who is trying to keep my carb intake low this was disappointing. All they had was high carb foods: waffles, cereal, muffins, toast & jelly, biscuits and gravy.

Cold showers and the breakfast was poorly paid attention to such as no eggs, sausage, forks etc.

The person who checked us in was very nice very friendly. The breakfast was just mediocre. Nothing to write home about, but it had everything you needed.
