The breakfast that was supposed to be included was not. There was a sign saying it would restart the weekend AFTER my stay. The hot tub was one of the reasons we booked but it s was under construction. One is the elevators stopped working the second day of our stay, and on the first stay the system crashed. I was lucky to get checked in but others were unable to check in or even get a key card made for their rooms

Our room at the Sonesta Select Indianapolis Carmel was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were there during a very hot spell and the AC unit worked well although the fan was loud. The price was reasonable although a bit higher than we usually pay for a room. The courtyard area is nice, lots of space to relax. So all of the major boxes were checked. On the negative side, the hot tub was closed without notice on the website and the pool was very crowded. There is no free breakfast, and the room does not come with a microwave. When I called in advance I was told just to ask for a microwave when we arrived and they would provide one, as the website indicates, but the person at the front desk was unwilling to do so. There is no coffee, tea, or water available in the lobby, as is pretty standard these days at most hotels. The refrigerator in the room is so small that almost nothing could be stored in it, including our leftovers from dinner that night. The person working at the front desk did not want to be bothered about anything, so her attitude really was a negative.

This hotel was convenient for our kids playing baseball at Grand Park. The room was nice, and the lobby was classy. The Starbucks was not open either day I was there. The indoor pool was very cold and the hot tub was out of service. Also, one of the two elevators was out of service, so that made some extra walking. I like the price, location and safety of the facility. Hopefully they get things fixed so it can go from a 3-star to a 5 star hotel.

First let me say the staff at the desk was great. Our room wasn't ready when we went to check in. When it was, there was candy on the floor and pizza in boxes on the balcony. The screen door was off track so we couldn't open the door. The outside door wouldn't accept the key and 6 keys later I could enter, but only once then back to not working. The hot tub was out of order. The outdoor fire pit didn't work but the staff made several calls to get it figured out.

No free breakfast, which website seems to advertise. Andrew (front desk manager on Friday morning) was great, but no one else was helpful. On Saturday our friend arrived and was going to sleep on the pull out couch. However, she found a used pair of underwear in the mattress. This would indicate that staff either did not check the mattress between guests or they, for some reason, put the underwear back on purpose. Front desk at that point was no help.

Rooms had moldy walls. Sink was filled with dirty water and wouldn\'t drain. After an hour of waiting to see if they could "fix" the sink, I was switched to another room. The sink and tub drained super slowly in that room. The clerks behind the counter were very slow to respond to complaints. Didn\'t get into my room until after midnight. The next morning an assistant manager called me and offered excuses. No apology or compensation.

Our room was dirty upon check in and there were ants in the bathroom. Bathroom had not been clean, surfaces were dirty throughout the room. We checked in late but we’re told housekeeping would get it cleaned the next day. When we returned they cleaned the bathroom only and not the rest of the room including leaving the beds unmade and not emptying the garbage. We were then told there was no housekeeping services for our 3 night stay and we could get towels from the front desk.

This hotel- for 400 dollars a night was awful. It would have been awful at 150 per night. There is no Chaffee service in the morning, there was no breakfast available, the ice machines were all empty, the room was filthy, the towels were dirty and so was the carpet in the hallway. There may have also been feces in the elevator.

My overall opinion of this hotel was just "meh." We immediately had to change rooms due to the fridge not working properly--had ice buildup the size of a football. Obviously no one checks the fridge when detailing the room? Found the tub to have a ring of dirt around it and the bathroom vent hadn't been cleaned in a long time; heavy with dirt and dust. Found a food receipt from a former guest under the rolling ottoman--obviously it wasn't rolled to vacuum. The bed was firm but still comfortable. Overall, probably would not stay here again. Attention to detail and cleanliness needs to be talked about with the cleaning staff. We would have left a much bigger tip in the room had it been properly attended to. We did not use any of the other facilities like pool or exercise equipment.

Our TV screen was shattered reported it immediately and no accommodations were made. After driving an entire day relaxing with some TV was exactly what I had in mind, not the case this visit. I choose this hotel for the location it is super comfortable and great acces to food and an entertaining atmosphere. I just wish the staff would have been more accommodating on this encounter.

Was a bit dirty, but not the worst I’ve seen. Was happy they had a pool that was open late. Staff was not very friendly but got the job done. The patio doors lock was broken, so we couldn’t lock the door. Also, screen doors screen was popped out and door itself was broken off the track. Couldn’t use patio at all.

Totally enjoyed the stay and was so happy for your willingness to accommodate me and my three dogs. They quite location away from other chain hotels and busy streets was a great benefit as you have plenty of grassy areas to walk the dogs as needed. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable and you were close enough to be to most any restaurant within 10 minutes. Thank you!!!

When we checked in the AC wasn’t working. The room was insanely hot and muggy. I called down to the lobby and they said there was nothing they can do. We had to go buy fans. The room is also very small and cramped. We only had two people in the room and we could barely move around. When checking out I informed them again the ac did not work and he again didn’t care.

The property and my room were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful (especially Amber) . I got a very good rate through Hotels.com. Two issues I have with the property. No microwave in the regular rooms. Only suites have microwaves. (I asked) . However there was a spot where one used to be next to the mini fridge. So I guess they were taken out . There is one in the store in the lobby you can use but by the time you get back to your room whatever you microwaved is cooling off. Also the toilet was very small and low to the ground. If you have any mobility issues at all I suggest you ask for an accessible room. For those two reasons alone I probably wouldn’t stay there again. But if you don’t need a microwave, or you can easily get up from a very low position; then the property is nice.

Unfriendly & unhelpful front desk staff at this hotel. It felt like they thought their guests are just an inconvenience. I don’t think I’ve ever had this poor of customer service at a hotel before. Staff should be reminded that hotels are in the hospitality industry.

We stayed this past Friday/Saturday with our baseball team for a tournament. We were treated disrespectfully by the lady at the desk both Friday and Saturday night. Adults should not be afraid to ring the bell at the desk when they need something out of worry of how they’ll be treated. I did not complain about the hair on the floor in the bathroom and other grime, because others already had to have their room changed 2/3 times due to their conditions upon arrival. For the amount of money I paid to stay for 2 nights, I would, at the least, expect hospitality and cleanliness. The Saturday night late brought her same attitude back from Friday shut off the lobby lights and the outdoor fire at 10:00 while adults were relaxing/eating was completely unnecessary. She went as far as calling the police on two different teams because the parents did not listen to her 10:00 bedtime. Prior to this, the same lady blamed boys on our team for propping a door open with a wet floor sign when it was not them (I was there) and yelled “it’s a breach of security” as she walked away. We stay at several hotels during baseball season, always use Expedia, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. It may be time to consider taking this hotel off your suggestions list.

I have stayed here twice. For the second time now, my card has been charged for another deposit days after my stay. They charged it when I checked in, the next day it was credited back, and then a couple of days later they charged my card again. When I called, I was told it was “a glitch in their system and there is nothing they can do, and hopefully the charge will just fall off.”

The man at the front desk was so monotone and didn’t care to help. We arrived at 5pm for your 4pm checkin and were told it would be a half hour wait. Then after a half hour I went to the desk to check and conveniently the front desk knew the room was ready but didn’t care to communicate with us. The man at the front was very unapproachable.

Our stay was for two nights. We found the hotel staff to be exceptional, helpful, and kind in all areas of staffing and management. They bent over backward to meet all of our needs. We want to recognize Ashley, Danyelle, and Sian for their wonderful service to my wife and me. They made our stay very comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel to others.

Was pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel was. It was located in a nice area too. However, there is nothing around the hotel as far as a restaurant, coffee shop or gas station. You have to go about one mile away if you want food or snacks. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Property was very clean and well kept. Quiet and remote (in biz park). Comfy bed and hot shower. Plentiful parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Only surprise was the room was not made up. Was not an issue for us, and maybe we missed the message, but possibly let guests know at check in. Also luggage racks would be helpful. Great stay thank you.

The staff was friendly. The property was clean and the lobby was nice. What i would change is the breakfast choice. Having that cafe is a waste. They could give their patrons free continental breakfast and possibly charge for specialty coffees. More people would probably stay longer if their was a complimentary breakfast.

The hotel room was priced much cheaper than other rooms I looked at. My room was very clean, quiet, and staff was nice. The only negative I have is that there was no complimentary breakfast. Great place to stay and will stay there again.

The room was very clean and I felt safe being there alone (despite that each room has a sliding door to the outside). I wasn’t thrilled about that being as I was traveling alone and it felt like it would be pretty easy to break in if someone wanted. That, it seemed like a pretty safe area and I had zero trouble at all! Staff were pleasant and it was actually pretty quiet. Beds are comfortable, as well. Don’t expect anything at breakfast to be ready for purchase (breakfast isn’t included). I’m pretty sure you have to order what you want from a menu. I don’t really eat breakfast so it wasn't a big deal to me. The place is kind of dated but it was so clean and quite I didn’t mind.

The hotel proper was great. I came down for breakfast, starts at 7:00, there was no one there. At 7:20 a staff member showed up, chatted with his co-workers and then asked what I would like. I didn't have time for that

Overall the property was fine for the price. I ran into some specific maintenance issues in my room that the couldn’t address so they had to move me; they were ere accommodating to do that. The food option there is confusing and ver limited. You have to pay for it, which is fine but not clear in there marketing. When I was there there really very limited visibility of how the food operation works. I walked up to where you check in to inquire about the food because there appeared to be a place for it to happen but nothing was visibly happening there. The representative handed me a menu and said I would need to pay for any food I wanted but after looking at the menu and assessing the lack of visible operations I decided to look for other options outside of the hotel which required driving.

The breakfast offered was pathetic. Some bagels and cold cereal. They have a large area in the lobby where it appears a better breakfast was served. At the prices they charge a hot breakfast should be included. No microwave in the room, no freezer in the refrigerator. The snack area in the lobby was almost non existant. Most of the shelves were empty. The place was very clean, beds were comfortable. Desk staff was polite and helpful.
